“Are you okay?” Gu Changge casually asked Gu Xianer, who was behind him. Though, he didn’t seem very concerned.

At that moment, Gu Xianer was highly perturbed, so she simply blurted, “Mm…”

“Mm? What is that supposed to mean?” Gu Changge raised his brow. He was aware that Gu Xianer was fine as her injuries were barely a scratch to her, but right now, even if she was unharmed, she ‘had to be harmed.’

Hearing what he said, Gu Xianer, being no fool, vented with a cold, chilly, pitiful voice. “Argh. It hurts! I am gravely wounded! My bones are broken and my organs have switched places! If you hadn’t come, I would have died alone just now! I won’t even have anyone to collect my body…”

Hearing that, the nearby young men couldn’t help but sympathise with her. “She is in so much pain… Those from the Ancient Sea Palace are truly intolerable!”

Seemingly unaffected, his eyes grew darker. Gu Changge then blandly stated, “Never once have I, Gu Changge, let my little sister be bullied.”

Despite saying that, he couldn’t help but praise her in his heart. [She knows to play along, huh. Perhaps she’s not that dumb after all.]

“Now, tell me, how do you wish to die?” Gu Changge turned to the members from the Ancient Sea Palace and emotionlessly questioned.

Upon his question, every cultivator felt a chill up their spine. Fear arose in their hearts. ‘How do you wish to die?’ Gu Changge enunciated those words so calmly, yet they possessed extremely dense murderous intent. Immediately, cultivators could already predict that the conflict would only end in historical bloodshed.

At the same time, the faces of those from the Ancient Sea Palace grew pale. The two young prodigies that attacked Gu Xianer were even more terrified, instinctively stepping back out of fear.

“Know your place, Gu Changge! If you have to back Gu Xianer up…” The Seventh Princess gloomily replied.

Nonetheless, before she could finish, Gu Changge cut in with a teasing look. “Your people hurt my sister, and now you’re complaining that I’m backing her up? Do you hear yourself? Anyway, you still haven’t answered my question, Seventh Princess. So I shall ask it again. How do you wish to die?”

Livid by his complacent attitude, the Seventh Princess frustratedly responded with a hideous scowl. “Gu Changge, stop pretending as if you’re doing us a favour! At the end of the day, you’re still a reputable prodigy of the young generation. You are also hailed as the Avatar of a True Immortal. Yet, you’re being so insolent. Do you really think the Ancient Sea Palace is something you don’t have to show respect to?”

In her eyes, no matter how strong Gu Changge was, he was alone. Even if he was to gather the nearby disciples of Skyward Schloss, they wouldn’t be able to beat the forces of the Ancient Sea Palace. Since it was likely that the battle would end up with both parties getting fatally injured, which would only benefit other young prodigies, she was somewhat reluctant to have a direct confrontation with him at such a time. As for her brother’s revenge, she would have to postpone it for now.

However, Gu Changge seemed rather indifferent to the matter. He didn’t question the reason for her pursuing Gu Xianer. Instead, his first question was how they wished to die, and he even repeated it. Such condescension and complacency immediately infuriated the Seventh Princess. More importantly, Gu Changge was confident that he could easily defeat them. How could she, as a fellow young prodigy, withstand such humiliation?

“Insolent?” Gu Changge laughed aloud before shooting her an icy glare. “What can you do if I’m being insolent?”

Gu Xianer, who was behind him, grew anxious as she softly lowered her head. Back when the Ancient Sea Palace was pursuing her, the Seventh Princess was as overbearing as he was right now. Since the Ancient Sea Palace was stronger than her, they had decided to bully her. However, the tables have now turned. It was now Gu Changge who spoke such belittling words to the Ancient Sea Palace. She had no idea how to feel about it. For some reason, with her brother with her, she couldn’t help but feel safe, having the urge to rely on him.

Naturally, Gu Xianer was fully aware that Gu Changge was only putting up a facade to the crowd. With the reason he came to her rescue being to make up for what he did in the past. This had caused her to be distressed.

Either way, ever since Gu Changge took her strike, he no longer owed her anything. Despite having a way to escape those in front of her, Gu Changge suddenly showed up in her defence. She recalled the words she spoke with the sole purpose of drawing hatred towards Gu Changge, she felt somewhat remorseful and guilty. It was merely a tantrum she threw against Gu Changge. In the back of her mind, she was anticipating him to come to her, but he was nowhere to be seen.

“Gu Changge, since you’ve brought it up, what about your sister murder of my brother? How are we going to settle with that?” With a duller scowl on her face, the Seventh Princess gritted her teeth and coldly asked.

She no longer had any intention to peacefully negotiate with Gu Changge. She had grasped her golden lance, which immediately started glowing with its metallic lights. Judging by Gu Changge’s discourteous words, it was clear that he had no desire of compromising.

“How do you wish to settle with that? Well, why don’t you join him?” Gu Changge blandly replied as he phased into the void, disappearing from where he was. Swiftly, he reappeared right in front of the Seventh Princess.

At once, the pupils of the Seventh Princess contracted. She felt a chill run up her back. Her and her many followers were taken back by this scene. Without feeling disturbance around them, Gu Changge appeared in front of them out of nowhere.

[What shocking speed! Is that super speed or teleportation?] The very next moment, before they knew it, a terrorizing aura surged as an explosion suddenly occurred before their very eyes. It was as though the blinding sun plummeted upon them.

“It’s your brother’s honour to die by Xianer’s hands. If you have the audacity to touch her, I’ll send you to be with him.”

*Whoosh!* Upon Gu Changge’s emotioneless words, a radiating energy of a sword along with fiery sparks surged up to the sky. A loud ringing sound could be heard. The sword had a daunting aura, as though it was a world-destroying celestial sword. The menacing glow around his fingers was constantly twinkling, shedding its light upon the land. It was as though he was the dominator of worlds that could annihilate all lives with one strike.

Although Endless Immortal Might was an unparalleled Primordial Spirit-class secret technique, Gu Changge usage of it was evidently exceptional as he exhibited a similarly overpowering aura. No magic was involved as it was merely a utilisation of the Force of Law. After all, with his Absolute Detachment, his mastery of numerous Spells had gone through groundbreaking changes.

The sword-like beam, created with the Force of Law, could overthrow countless known Spells. Only cultivators of the same realm could resist it. Without revealing his true power, using it to subdue a so-called young prodigy wouldn’t even serve to break a sweat. It was just like chopping vegetables.

At that moment, followers of Gu Changge appeared on the surrounding mountains. They charged towards those from the Ancient Sea Family from all directions.

*Zap!* Gu Changge leisurely walked with a nonchalant expression. As he swung his sword-like fingers, everything turned blurry. The ringing persisted as if it was an actual slash of a celestial sword. Its energy overflowed as though stars were falling from the sky.

*Thump!*

“No way…” Blood scattered everywhere as the face of the young prodigy who possessed the physique of the golden fish turned pale. His face was filled with fear and hopelessness as he wanted to beg for mercy. Filled with dread, even the Primordial Spirit within him was quaking as he was suppressed by the overwhelming murderous aura.

Intending to defend himself, he summoned his strongest magic weapon and channelled all his power into it. A strike from the weapon shining with heavenly lights could annihilate all beings in the Partial-Enlightened Realm. Sadly, the magic weapon seemed to be useless against the sword-like beam. Resembling the might of the gods, it impaled his head. The gleaming protective layer cast by his Primordial Spirit was instantaneously pierced through and had disintegrated.

“What’s the point of possessing absolute power if defence works?” Gu Changge seemed unaffected. His surface cultivation level was set at the Honoured King Realm, but the techniques he used obviously surpassed the strength of said realm. Of course, he didn’t go overboard as the strength he feigned was just enough to slaughter a being in the True Enlightened Realm.

“I-Is this… Gu Changge’s true power?” Gu Xianer was thoroughly stupefied by this scene. She always desired to surpass Gu Changge while accomplishing other goals, but never once had she expected Gu Changge’s true power to have reached such a level. [What sword technique is that? How terrifying! It is as if it was made for annihilation and nothing else.]

“He’s dead…”

“A young prodigy… slaughtered so easily…”

Those from the Ancient Sea Family were dumbfounded. They came to their senses only to find themselves drowning in fear. The young prodigy that died was a being in the Intermediate Honoured King Realm. For him, along with his Primordial Spirit, to instantaneously die by Gu Changge’s hands was something they could not have foreseen. They could not help but be overwhelmed by shock.

Young prodigies were known to possess countless ways to keep themselves alive, but he didn’t even have the chance to make a move before he got slaughtered by Gu Changge. In other words, Gu Changge’s current strength had far exceeded what they could resist. Such a terrorizing sword technique was to be feared by all as one strike could cause enormous damage. It was as though this one attack could bring the world to ruin.

“A sword technique created with the Force of Law…” In that instant, the Seventh Princess couldn’t help but be stunned as well. As far as she knew, the Force of Law was something that was only attainable by beings in the Sacred Realm. Yet, seeing Gu Changge using it now, she was left immensely frightened. Even her Primordial Spirit was trembling.

Certainly, young prodigies were known to have countless ultimate moves, but she could never imagine Gu Changge would have such an unbelievable card up his sleeves.

She could tell that Gu Changge must have mastered some kind of terrifying sword technique, and judging by his strength, there was no way she and her followers could defeat him.

Given the circumstances, unless she possessed the same power, there was no chance of resisting. In fact, Gu Changge might even be able to instantly kill a being in the True Enlightened Realm with just one blow from his sword-like beam.

“Using such a frightening sword technique must inflict a great burden upon his body! He won’t be able to withstand it any longer! That’s my chance to kill him!” The young female prodigy of the Sea Serpent Clan proceeded to shield herself, only for her effort to cease in vain. Unfortunately, she was tormented by agony and despair as Gu Changge’s sword-like beam created a giant hole in her body. With just that one attack, the life in her eyes waned, leading to her eventual death.

The Seventh Princess was left with no choice. Dense ferocity surged in her eyes. Right now, between her and Gu Changge, only one could live.

*Boom!*

“Charge!” Instantly, golden, fiery beams gushed out of her body. She was engulfed in dazzling lights. With a swing of her lance, she created a monumental, golden gleaming rift that could destroy all lives. This was her strongest technique.

Simultaneously, she summoned a small crimson gleaming flask. The moment the flask was opened, a fiery light beaconed through the sky. It harbored traces of the Force of Law, which had transformed into a godly chain that could turn the world into a sea of flames.

“Oh, an imitation of the Sun Gaze Flask?” Tensing his brows, Gu Changge recognized the flask. It was widely known as an imitation of a Sacred king Realm weapon.

Nonetheless, he wasn’t at all interested. At the end of the day, the flask was merely a counterfeit. Even at its full power, the Seventh Princess could only draw power comparable to that of the True Enlightened Realm.

Soon, the eyes of every cultivator were filled with astonishment as the battle between Gu Changge and the Seventh Princess erupted. Illuminating beams blasted everywhere, collapsing mountains, turning them into dust. It was as if countless stars had blown up. Facing such blinding light, the surrounding cultivators subconsciously closed their eyes.

The next moment, there was a loud crack. A huge explosion had occurred. The imitation of the Sun Gaze Flask flew out of the battlefield, along with a blue-haired woman covered in blood. She was miserable to see as half of her body was already pulverised. There was nothing but disbelief and shock in her eyes.

“How…” In that instant, the Seventh Princess was left with only dread and dismay.

Just seconds ago, she vigorously charged at Gu Changge. However, even with her potent physique, she couldn’t withstand the outburst. It had caused half of her body to turn into mush..

Meanwhile, the imitation of the Sun Gaze Flask was effortlessly deflected by Gu Changge’s sword. Even the Force of Law contained within the flask couldn’t subdue him.

She assumed that Gu Changge’s energy would be drained speedily as he continuously used the horrifying sword technique, but she was proven wrong. Conversely, he didn’t seem to be affected even in the slightest, and she was stupefied by that.

“It’s simply because I’m much stronger. Much much stronger,” Gu Changge answered with condescension in his eyes. As he reappeared, he landed before the Seventh Princess whose face bore immense reluctance and anguish.

*Thump!* He lifted her head before turning a flawless face into a ghoulish visage.

“Gu Changge, if you kill me—” Her elegance of a princess no longer existed. All she had now was immeasurable terror of death. The instant her dignity got crushed by Gu Changge, her mind collapsed.

“I won’t kill you,” Gu Changge mindlessly interrupted before sealing the Seventh Princess’ powers and tossing her to Gu Xianer, whose mind was still disrupted by stupefaction.

With a fascinated grin, he stated. “Xianer, I shall hand her to you. Kill her or not, the judgment lies upon you.”

And so, he relinquished the responsibility of the decision to Gu Xianer.
