A dreadful sound only he could hear thundered through the sky, as if a gargantuan army was charging at him. With that, a dark, horrifying ripple appeared. It was the aura of the Sky Demon which he was awfully familiar with.
“It’s as I predicted, but to think he’s using this type of Cursed Hidden Technique…”
Gu Changge revealed a knowing grin.
*Whoosh!* Amidst the darkness, a trace of light flashed across his eyes. In that instant, Nature God’s Chant in his conscience opened its dull, emotionless eyes. The dark, demonic aura resembled a black raging fog covered in a mystical barrier.
“Charging right at me with a demonic technique? Aren’t you too naive for that, dear supposed mighty one?”
The smile on Gu Changge’s face disappeared as coldness surged. Without bringing his Demonic Heart into the picture, Nature God’s Chant alone was a Primordial Spirit Grade Talent, and with it polluted by his demonic traits, the Sky Demon was no longer an issue. In other words, a Sky Demon of such a level was nothing but a food to the Primordial Spirits.
“Thousand Sky Demon…” With his stony eyes, Gu Changge turned from the soundly asleep Su Qingge, not wanting to disturb her slumber. Accordingly, black beams surrounded his palms. Leisurely, Gu Changge swung his arms forward and instantly, the air turned cold, followed by a series of fear-striking shrieks and black smoke along with a spine-chilling aura. His Nature God’s Chant came out and gulped everything before it like a mammoth whale.
*Munch, munch* Soon, such noises reverberated, as if Nature God’s Chant was dining on the giant Sky Demon who let out a tormented, hopeless scream before being sucked into Nature God’s Chant.
Following this, Gu Changge could feel the strength of his Primordial Spirits grow remarkably, as well as a portion of Lin Tian’s lifespan.
In the blink of an eye, the sky was serene again, as if nothing ever happened.

While Ming Lao was outside the palace, he, too, had swiftly sensed the frightening disturbance in the air and quickly stormed to Prince Gu’s side. The look on his face was incomparably hideous, carrying fear and shock. Never had he expected anyone would try to assassinate Gu Changge in the middle of the night by using such a sly tactic.
He broke into a cold sweat after witnessing such an atrocious act take place within the territory of the family he personally established. If it weren’t for Gu Changge’s solution, the consequences would be unimaginable. Perhaps a million deaths wouldn’t even suffice.
*Whoosh!* Gu Changge took a step out of the palace with an unaffected face.

As mischief filled his heart, he didn’t disclose the attacker to be Lin Tian. After all, except for Lin Qiuhan, he shouldn’t have the knowledge of any of the other disciples of the Lin Family. Otherwise, divulging that Lin Tian was the attacker would sound like a baseless accusation.

In response, Gu Changge nodded and retreated to his chamber.
“What happened out there, Prince Gu?” Su Qingge was seemingly baffled as her deep sleep was disrupted by the turmoil.
“Nothing major. It’s been dealt with. You may sleep,” Gu Changge answered.
With that, Ming Lao hurriedly gathered the Lin Family and they were all startled and thoroughly stupefied. The elders and the leader of the Lin Family were so dumbfounded that their faces blanched. Thereupon, every Lin Family member began their search for the attacker who assaulted Gu Changge. None was to sleep until they reached an answer.

At the moment the connection to the Cursed Hidden Technique broke off, he immediately sensed the fear of the Otherworldly Sky Demon. It wasn’t just usual fear; it was so tremendous as if the Sky Demon was facing the evilest, most relentless demon in existence.
“Honestly, how did this happen? Gu Changge isn’t affected, and the Lin Family is surely investigating right now. If they were to find me here…” Lin Tian’s face was constantly aging. Within one night, he grew older by more than ten years. Anyone with a pair of eyes could tell the difference.
Swiftly, Lin Tian revealed an ugly grimace. He could sense the footsteps from his surroundings. It was obvious that the entire Lin Family was alarmed.
