The voice wasn’t loud but seemed exceptionally clear in the quiet atmosphere. It rang like a giant bell among the masses which caused a wave of shock. Everyone, including the young prodigies, experts from the older generation, and Sect Leaders turned pale and looked towards the source.

The disciples of the Immortal Academy became shocked as well. The King with Six Crowns, frowned. “Didn’t everyone say Gu Changge won’t be coming? Why did he suddenly come here?”

Yue Mingkong’s mouth curled slightly but she remained silent. The Chosen Monk Jin Chan, Jiang Chuchu, Wang Zijin, the Pheonix Lady, as well as the others all looked in that direction with varied emotions in their eyes.

A young man walked down from the skies with a blurred-out face, with his clothes fluttering. He looked otherworldly as he moved at a moderate pace down the invisible gold Great Daos under his feet. These Great Daos, for those who can perceive them, seemed to be made of different Principles and strange runes. In the next instant, he had already appeared in front of everyone as if from thin air. His ability in crossing such great distances in a flash shocked many, their pupils contracting. Meanwhile, the Masters of the Immortal Wang Family, Sky Emperor Mountain, and the Ancient Ye Family frowned deeply as they detected how unfathomable his aura was.

“Greetings, Young Master.” Members of the Immortal Gu Family greeted him in unison, while a smile appeared on the cold face of the Elder who had been confronting the expert from the Godly Illusion Clan.

“It’s Young Master Gu. He’s here as well.” Xiao Ruoyin, part of the group from Skyward Schloss, looked over in surprise and glee. Meanwhile, Song Qin and the other disciples envied her behaviour, as only someone familiar and intimate with him would act this way.

“Gu Changge. He’s here.” Jiang Luoshen, looked past the curtain of clouds covering her and frowned deeply.

Although she hadn’t emerged in the Upper Realm for long, she had already heard that name many times. There were many shocking rumours about him. The honour of being the greatest of the younger generation was unimaginable. His strength seemed to crush that of his peers like a giant mountain, making it hard for them to breathe. Anyone who heard his name in the Upper Realm now reacted with fear and reverence, not daring to show any discourtesy. She had had the thought of visiting him to see who exactly he was after dealing with the Godly Illusion Tomb but she hadn’t expected to meet him under such circumstances. For the first time, she felt that things have become way too complex.

Even the Sect Masters and experts of the older generation were gazing at him with caution, realising that they couldn’t discern his strength. The rumours claimed he could already fight with someone in the Sacred King Realm, which to them felt like strength borrowed from the power of a Sacred Emperor Grade Artifact. The man himself was probably just a little stronger than the other younger Sacred Emperor Realm experts.

However, now that they saw him, it was clear he eclipsed any other young prodigy. There was a massive chasm between them. Except for the Successor of Demonic Arts, no one of the younger generation in the entire Upper Realm could possibly win against him.

Jiang Chen retreated several steps, a chill racing up his spine. His face was already disguised, but who knew if Gu Changge could see through it? His fear for the other man was already deeply ingrained.

“Kill him.” Gu Changge appeared beside Gu Xianer, repeating his words calmly when he saw her stunned expression.

Jiang Ming lay on the ground, the intense pain from his wounds preventing him from moving. He had thought he would be saved after his sister said those words, but who knew Gu Changge would suddenly appear or that his first words were to ask Gu Xianer to kill him? His back was damp with cold sweat, and his face became pale. He naturally knew who Gu Changge was, which made him feel desperate when he heard the order.

Gu Xianer finally came back to herself, smelling the familiarly fresh yet fragrant smell of the man in front of her.

“Weren’t you not coming?” She looked up, muttering under her breath. Her voice was so small that no one other than the both of them could hear her clearly.

“If I didn’t, wouldn’t you end up being wronged again?” he asked after glancing at her. He had already sensed what was happening here from outside the Godly Illusion Tomb. So, he abandoned his followers to come here first. He knew all about what had happened and why she was so indecisive. He didn’t think there was anything to be pondered about here. After all, she just needed to kill the man.

Gu Xianer became delighted after hearing that but snorted in denial. “I wasn’t planning on killing him.”

Gu Changge knew how she behaved. She was essentially a tsundere, who said one thing but wanted the other. Whose body betrays her wishes.

“Let’s say I don’t like the look of him and want him dead. Does that work?” He chuckled.

She glared at him. “Don’t you dare laugh at me.”

Seeing how cold and distant she was trying to act, he wanted to pinch her nose to see how far she would continue such pretence. She seemed to have seen through him and stepped away with a scornful look. “Stop trying to take advantage of me.”

The crowd held varying emotions after watching the scene, commenting among themselves. It was obvious how much he spoiled her. On any other day, who else dared to speak that way to him? Only she would do that, and he would allow her to do so without caring. Many prodigal damsels began envying her, wondering why they didn’t have a brother like that.

“Sister, save me. I don’t want to die.” Jiang Ming felt hopeless but didn’t want to die, choosing to call upon the Godly Illusion Clan. However, Jiang Luoshen and the other Masters of the Clan felt hesitant after hearing his call for help, as they couldn’t just witness him getting killed without doing something about it. Nonetheless, were afraid of the repercussions if they did make a move.

“Gu Changge, we were at fault here. We are willing to apologise and compensate you since this isn’t something which cannot be resolved. Jiang Ming didn’t know who this young lady was; otherwise, he would never do this. This is just a misunderstanding.” Jiang Luoshen decided to let go of her pride. This was extremely rare since she had always been cold and condescending towards others, thus showing how important Gu Changge was to her.

Gu Changge looked at her, saying lightly, “That’s fine. Since it’s a misunderstanding, there wouldn’t be one after we kill him.”

Everyone turned pale at that, feeling a terrifying and intimidating force upon them. Even if they couldn’t get anything from the Godly Illusion Tomb, they got to watch such an entertaining scene. It was like the rumours claimed; even when confronted by a group of Masters from the Godly Illusion Clan, Gu Changge maintained his forcefulness without any intention of yielding. Many Sect Masters were anxious about this, feeling lucky that they hadn’t offended him or they would have been embarrassed as well.

“You…” The expressions of the Godly Illusion Clansmen darkened, not expecting him to say that. He had no respect for them and he was still just their Junior, although much more famous. Was he planning to incite rivalry between two two forces over a minor issue?

Jiang Luoshen took a deep breath, calming herself down. This was the first time she was dealing with someone much more forceful than she was.

“Gu Changge, what do you want in exchange for letting Jiang Ming go? Name your conditions,” she said coldly. She felt that he just wanted to take advantage of this and make enormous demands.

“Conditions?” Gu Changge smiled but his gaze was intrigued. “Since you mentioned that, I still lack a maid to serve me drinks. What do you think of that? If you aren’t satisfied with that status, then becoming a concubine is also okay. I just don’t know if you’re that willing to save your brother.”

Everyone was appalled by that, especially the younger generation, who refused to believe it and smiled bitterly. Only Gu Changge would be brave enough to say that. Of course, no one felt he was being serious, assuming that it was just a ploy to humiliate Jiang Luoshen.

The members of the Godly Illusion Clan were enraged by this. Jiang Luoshen was their family’s representative and might inherit the Clan, becoming the next revered Godly Illusion Empress in the Upper Realm. To Gu Changge, however, she was only worthy of becoming his maid or concubine.

“Gu Changge…” Her cold eyes glowed murderously, her fists clenched tightly. The coldness she radiated nearly froze the atmosphere. She had never expected to be humiliated like this in front of everyone. With her status, who else in the Upper Realm would dare ask her to be their maid or concubine? Wasn’t this just too humiliating? The curtain of clouds covering her was unable to withstand her aura and broke apart..

Her otherworldly beauty was exposed to the world then. Her bright golden hair and eye-catching delicate features made her resemble a perfectly carved statue of celestial jade. Her gaze was chilling, though; such a haughty and noble aura made all the prodigies feel inferior and lower their heads since they weren’t brave enough to look at her.

“You can’t do that?” Gu Changge asked lightly, unruffled by the situation.

“Gu Changge, you just want to make this difficult for me.” Jiang Luoshen stared frigidly at him.

“If you can’t do it, then stop trying to waste my time.” His expression became cold as well. His palm swept downwards, about to enclose Jiang Ming.

“Stop!” Her expression became enraged as she clenched her fists. The way Gu Changge dismissed and disregarded them frivolously made her feel livid. So what if he was highly talented, with terrifying strength and a powerful background? How was she inferior to him that he was so dismissive of her?

He did not plan to waste any time talking to her, choosing to attack instead. An enormous hand descended from the sky, about to enclose and crush Jiang Ming like he was a fly.

“Young boy from the Gu Family, stop that at once!” The Peak Sacred Lord Realm Master from the Godly Illusion Clan became furious and ignored the Master from the Gu Family as he transformed into a beam of golden light to save Jiang Ming.

Jiang Ming would be crushed to death publicly by Gu Changge and the crowd did not dare move. How would the other Sects view this humiliation of the Godly Illusion Clan? How would the Clan be able to accept this? They had been humiliated so many times by him already.

“You’re being suicidal.” Gu Changge’s expression didn’t change, remaining cold. “Since you are keen on accompanying him, then I will help you.”

His palm transformed and emitted a five-coloured light as if it had turned into the Great Millstone of World Destruction. The palm then moved towards the Master from the Godly Illusion Clan. The power behind the strike made the ground shake and nearly crack from the pressure.

Everyone was stunned by this, especially the young prodigies. They had all turned pale and were shaken to their core due to the enormous disparity in strength. The King with Six Crowns, the Chosen Monk, and the Phoenix Lady all remained grave and silent, while the Sect Master felt slightly shaken too.

“I just want to see how formidable the strongest of the young generation is. You act so condescending and dismissive of everyone else.” The Master from the Godly Illusion Clan snorted, infuriated by his careless and cruel attitude.

With a growl, he conjured a mighty technique, where brilliant golden light bloomed in infinite numbers and transformed into entrances. Principles wove within them, transforming them into chains made from the Great Dao, which could suppress and chaindown anyone. Strong quakes shook the ground, causing the mountains to collapse and arrays to be destroyed.

[How is Gu Changge this powerful?] Jiang Chen shook with fear, feeling like his body was about to explode even when he was hiding behind Monk Pu Du.

*Pui!* Blood spattered everywhere as the Master from the Godly Illusion Clan coughed. His arms were nearly blasted apart. His technique had blocked the strike from Gu Changge’s palm but he was still forced back. His internal organs shook violently, and he retreated backwards while leaving bloody footprints behind.

The blast from this exchange was far too frightening, and it felt like an infinite number of stars was exploding. The crowd could feel their skin about to split open due to the aftermath.

Soon, the two clashed again. However, the Master from the Godly Illusion Clan quickly lost the upper hand, flying backwards while coughing blood in a shocking display.

*Thump!* The void exploded and the atmosphere became blurry yet brilliant. Waterfalls of various Principles swept through the air as the mysteries of the worlds and the universe began to evolve.

“Is that all you got?” Gu Changge’s expression remained calm, his clothes fluttering around him.

Black and white light appeared from his palm, containing the Six Paths of Reincarnation and all of Heaven, as well as the yellow river. The entrance to the Six Paths of Reincarnation stood tall while a yellow, dirty river concealing unfathomable numbers of ghosts and bones flowed silently. As the strange phenomenon materialised, everyone’s soul seemed to be drawn to it. It was a terrifying energy which could drag them towards death.

“Damn it! Grand Elder! Come back!” Jiang Luoshen noticed something wrong and immediately ordered the Grand Elder to come back. However, it was too late; he was already injured and was now affected by the aura of Reincarnation.

The Grand Elder’s eyes clouded over slightly, and his soul seemed to leave the body for the world which belonged to the dead.

*Thump!*

In the next instant, Gu Changge’s palm landed on him, causing the void to collapse and the terrifying energy felt like the sky falling on them. His body was crushed to pieces immediately as he turned into a bloody mist. His body and soul had been destroyed, blood splattering everywhere onto the ground.

However, the attack did not stop there. It soon reduced a desperate Jiang Ming to a bloody mist like his predecessor.

The place was deathly silent as the crowd watched the scene. They felt a chill on their backs as Gu Changge had easily killed someone in the Peak Sacred Lord Realm. It wasn’t just any other person but someone from the Godly Illusion Clan. Those in the Clan were beings whose battle strength dwarfed others within the same cultivation level. Thus, it meant that Gu Changge actually possessed might equivalent to that of the Sacred King Realm!

They were shaken by that thought. He was still young, yet he had managed to kill a Peak Sacred Lord Realm Master. Furthermore, he dominated the fight without using a Sacred Emperor Grade Artifact. They would have refused to believe this as it was unimaginable, yet it had happened right before their eyes. Gu Changge was not only formidable but also strong enough to make his peers desperate.

“How is that possible?” Members of the Godly Illusion Clan stood stunned, unable to believe their eyes. Gu Changge had remained undisturbed the entire time, looking like he hadn’t used his full power.

[Didn’t that mean that his true power was even more terrifying?]

Jiang Luoshen gritted her teeth, her heart full of anger, unwillingness, and fear. She had thought that as the ultimate prodigy from the Clan, rarely seen even in a million years, she was destined to be unrivalled among her peers. But, this scene she had witnessed today made her belief in her unrivalled Dao Heart shake a little. [Why!? Why is he so unbelievably strong!?]
