This great battle shocked everyone. Both young and old shivered when they felt a wave of horror hit them. Gu Changge was so powerful that no one could describe his powers with words back then. But now, he was eerily as strong as a True Daoist, after he had obtained supreme treasure like the Celestial Seal of the Nine Mountains.

The three True Daoists from the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains who fought against him had all been heavily injured within a short time. Some even had their bodies torn apart, and their Primordial Spirits almost collapsing. All the living beings in the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains had fallen into despair because of such a scene. It wasn’t that the True Daoists in their world were not strong enough… It was Gu Changge’s who was too powerful.

When the war broke out in an instant, the sky shook when lights and runes filled the depths of the starry sky. As pieces of the void trembled, wisps of brilliance and energy pierced through like the holes in a sieve. The momentum was overwhelming when the terrifying army swept in like a torrent, shaking both the sky and land. The sound of killing could be heard coming from everywhere.

*Boom!* The ancient battleships from the two realms were glowing as the many runes inscribed on them evolved together, manifesting between heaven and earth. The runes finally turned into thick mountain-like beams of light that shot forward. Countless died tragically under such fluctuations, and the tsunami-like army was abruptly broken apart.

A Heaven-Swallowing Sparrow with its cultivation at the peak of the Sacred Emperor Realm appeared in the sky. When it opened its mouth, it spat out a Silver Moon Spear that swept across the air. The runes that sparked at the same time were extremely terrifying. It was as though they were trying to cover the sky with a piercing glow.

Several Masters in the Sacred Lord Realm Beings, from the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains, stood in front to block off the attacking army. However, they exploded in an instant, shattered by the energy of the Silver Moon Spear!

“Damn it! Let’s charge together. We can’t let it win!” A young prodigy roared, eyes burning with anger as he worked together with others to kill the bird!

“They will die here today sooner or later. Everything will go as planned,” the Heaven-Swallowing Sparrow sneered. As a member of an Ancient Royal Family from the Upper Realm, it had a terrifying aura and green eyes the size of hills.

With a spread of its wings, it tore through the sky and appeared in front. Countless instantly crumbled and turned into bloodmist.

“It’s strong!”

“The peak of the Sacred Emperor Realm… That means it’s a step away from entering the Quasi-Nirvana Realm!”

The faces of the three young prodigies turned pale as they trembled under his might. The talisman on them broke, and they started to crack while gurgling blood. It was a terrifying sight to see.

*Boom!*

On the other side were ancient battleships and flying boats. Black mist billowed and was interlaced with colourful Divine Light when experts appeared alongside those fighting in Aether Abyss. Sounds of killing could be heard coming from these ancient battleships. Those inside were now gushing downwards like a waterfall! Soldiers in the Quasi-Sacred, Sacred, and Sacred Noble Realm were all present, with monstrous and terrifying auras.

This was an extremely powerful battle force coming from the same force!

“Charge!” they roared, excited and agitated as bloodlust filled them.

“The three True Daoists have been suppressed by Young Master Changge!”

“The Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains won’t be able to defend themselves for long!”

The moment the two armies clashed, the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains suffered defeat like it was a crumbling mountain. Everyone felt an unnerving panic. Those who heard the sound closing in from behind especially couldn’t help but shiver. They were completely surrounded and had no way out.

[Damn it! It turns out the Upper Realm has planned this all along!]

Surprise and anger filled them the instant they understood. It was the Upper Realm’s plan to lure them here so that the Upper Realm could round them up in one fell swoop when they accepted the declaration of challenge. It never crossed the mind of the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains that the Upper Realm’s army would come and wipe them out.

[Why would the Upper Realm army show up in the depths of Aether Abyss? How did they get in and keep themselves hidden until now?] They began to wonder about a lot of things, but to their dismay, no one would be able to give them an answer.

“Kill them!” The experts from the various forces of the Upper Realm commanded the army behind them, which sent the army charging ahead like flying daggers. All who tried to resist along the way were torn apart and turned into bloodmist as they perished. The air was now thick with blood as the mighty army dropped like hot potatoes when the Upper Realm Masters came and tore them apart.

In terms of numbers, the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains didn’t have the slightest advantage when the two armies fought. However, this was because the Upper Realm army hadn’t all arrived.

The faces of the young prodigies who fought against the younger generation of the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains on the hunting ground were all different.

“It seems like we don’t have to personally join the fight,” the Sky Demon Sovereign hummed. With a palm, he sent Xuan Tian flying. No one could truly fight against him because of how powerful he was. Even the Successor of the Black Tortoise War God Clan had fallen in his hands.

Wang Zijin wore a light blue dress that enhanced her good looks. She smiled slightly as she brought up, “The Vermilion Bird War God Clan… I wonder what’s their relationship with the Upper Realm?”

As the elegant hand waved, silvery vines intertwined in the void turned into godly weapons that charged forward, causing the Successor of the Vermilion Bird War God Clan to cough up blood. His body shook violently as more terrifying cracks appeared.

With clear skin and a radiant complexion, Wang Zijin’s beauty was unquestionable. There were only a handful of women in this world who could compare with her. On the contrary, her strength was terrifying. To the rest, she was even more mysterious than the Sky Demon Sovereign, the King with Six Crowns, and the others because of her constant indifferent demeanour.

“Fall back! Don’t just stupidly fight them!” The faces of all from the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains on the hunting ground had completely fallen. They wanted to get out of this place. Xiao Yang, Lin Wu, and the others were no exception. They never thought that Gu Changge would be so vicious as to set a trap to lure them here. At this point, they would only get themselves killed by staying here. Even the True Daoists from the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains were injured. The rest of them would definitely become the Upper Realm’s targets that would soon be annihilated.

“Open up the space altars. We’ll save as many as we can.”

“Send the young away. They can’t die here. Let’s get the authoritative figures of all clans out of here as well. As for the rest of us, stay behind and drag it out.”

Many Elders on the ancient battleship finally came to a sure decision at this moment. Their faces were gloomy because they understood that there might be no survivors in this battle. It was impossible for all of them to perish here, and so they immediately decided to open up their space altars to send the younger generation away. These young prodigies were their only lifeline and hope.

Of course, the space altars couldn’t fit a lot of people, which was why they had to make certain sacrifices. They had to send away some talented Juniors, as well as those with advanced cultivation and help great authority in their clans. After all, these were all valuable people to the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains. Their fall would have a great influence on the forces behind them.

Many Elders had a glint in their eyes when they heard this. The space altar might be precious, and every Elder should have a space altar in hand. However, it might be way more dangerous if they tried to leave.

The space barrier here might tear because of the fight between the True Daoists. It would be difficult for them to escape. After all, in the void, there might be space storms due to the fight, which would result in greater danger. Moreover, the Upper Realm wouldn’t let them go without trying to stop them.

The thought of this put a deeper frown on their faces. Even if they wanted to make their escape, they had to wait for the right time to do that. Those who got away first would surely become the Upper Realm’s targets.

“Get some of them to be sacrificed so that we can lower the Upper Realm’s guard. We can find a chance to escape later.”

“At this point, this is the only way left…”

They soon ordered the clansmen behind them to gather some of their members here to escape through the space altar first.

*Zii* Spatial fluctuations began to emerge here, followed by a simple yet mysterious altar which manifested in the void. It was as though there was a light portal here, but the portal was far from being stable. It showed signs of breaking as it was affected by the space here.

An expert from the Upper Realm noticed this, and he quickly swung his hand across the air to stop them. “Trying to get away?!” he roared. However, the space portal didn’t last long and soon collapsed. A scream could also be heard as a burst of bloodmist sprayed out.

Those who went in earlier had been smashed into pieces by the turbulent flow in the space, and their bodies and souls were instantly annihilated.

This scene left the Upper Realm stunned before they started cackling. “They are acting like headless chickens! Even if they make a move, they will die horribly in the void. The space here is too turbulent. No one can escape.”

They didn’t care about those who tried to escape using the space altar after that. Instead, they specifically searched for those who were protected by others so that they could kill them.

[It worked! They’ve lowered their guard.] The Elders of the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains had hope gleaming in their eyes as relief washed over them. Such an approach was no different from a house gecko’s tail being cut off, but they could still secretly send some people away.

When the armies of the two worlds were fighting, the battle in the sky between the three True Daoists from the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains and Gu Changge had already reached the deepest part of the universe, which was far away from where they originally were.

Xuang Gang and the others seemed to have gone mad as their Nirvana Energy swept across the entire universe, shattering the sky and tearing off the stars. To them, Gu Changge was only borrowing the power of an external item now. The Celestial Seal of the Nine Mountains might be powerful, but there was a limit to it after all. As long as they continued to make Gu Changge consume its power, Gu Changge, who hadn’t attained the Great Dao, would eventually lose. After all, he was no match for the three of them.

*Boom!*

The brilliance of this place is too piercing. Huge palms stretched across the universe, and even the stars below them seemed as small as dust. This is the mighty and infinite power of a True Daoist. Some of their physical bodies collapsed, but they quickly took shape again. They were practically indestructible as long as their Souls remained.

“You are not True Daoist, Gu Changge. You will eventually use up your strength!” Xuang Gang boomed. He had blood dripping from the corners of his mouth. Fragments of white bones were also scattered everywhere because the bones in his arms had broken. Gu Changge slapping him with a palm made a rumbling sound like the universe was collapsing.

His Black Tortoise Physique was extremely powerful, possibly comparable to Indestructible Celestial Gold. Still, he couldn’t fully block the attack, and his body was pierced. The other two True Daoists didn’t have it easy either. The Lu Clan’s Ancestor was especially injured, and was covered in blood when Gu Changge’s attack went through him. He had reshaped his body several times already by now. If it weren’t for his strong vitality, and his usual focus on training his Primordial Spirit, heavy injuries would have been the least of his concern.

Hearing that, Gu Changge only smiled lightly with an odd look in his eyes. “Do you know why I had you come all the way here?” he nonchalantly brought up. The Celestial Seal of the Nine Mountains hovered above his head as a vast, untainted golden godly glow fell. He still had that indifferent look on his face. He wasn’t at all surprised by the three True Daoists’ thoughts.

This place, which was infinitely far away from Aether Abyss, had reached the depths of the universe. Even the two armies on the battlefield could only feel some fluctuations from the battle here, but they could clearly see what happened here.

“What do you mean?” Xuang Gang frowned as a feeling of impending doom hit him.

Gu Changge’s expression had been too relaxed from the start, making it difficult to guess what he was going to do. Nonetheless, these words reveal some strange ploy.

Safe to say that Xuang Gang was extremely wary of Gu Changge.

The main reason for that was because Gu Changge was unreadable. No one could guess what he was thinking. In fact, they might be able to breathe a sigh of relief if Gu Changge would let his surprise or relief show.

But Gu Changge would never do that.

The feeling of having Gu Changge be in control made them cower with unease.

“He’s just trying to put on a show. He’s at the end of his rope, and all he can do is intimidate. We’re True Daoists, but look at the state we’re in. How can a Junior like him dream of turning the world upside down?” The Ancestor of the Lu Clan hissed. Face sunken, he couldn’t bother to care about anything at this moment as his whole body was burning with green Godly Flames.

His Source, which was as vast as the sea, was summoned and angry waves started to crash in Gu Changge’s direction, trying to drown him.

Seeing this, Xuang Gang felt his uneasiness turn up a notch. “Don’t underestimate him, Brother,” he urged. He wanted to stop the Ancestor of the Lu Clan, but it was too late.

With a horrified look on his face, he watched the universe in front of him abruptly darken as though night was permanent. All of heaven and its thousand worlds fell into eternal dusk. A terrifying Grand Flask floated in the sky, but they could only see its vague outline as it hovered with endless black lights dripping from it. Those black lights were endless World Principles, and they contained the unimaginable power of heaven and earth. All of heaven and its thousand worlds and time, irrespective of its age, seemed to collapse because of this one tremor.

This was an unfathomable, indescribable supreme power.

*Hum!*

The Source the Ancestor of the Lu Clan summoned out was swallowed up by the terrifying Grand Flask the next moment.

A look of shock and disbelief immediately appeared on the Ancestor’s face.

“What—” He never would have thought that Gu Changge could so easily negate the techniques he put his all into unleashing.

“This is my first time seeing someone so eager to die. I can make your wish come true, Gu Changge uttered indifferently. His face, eyes, and tone were as calm as ever. As soon as he finished his words, the universe in front of him was suddenly flooded with terrifying black light. Gu Changge shook his hands lightly, and the Eight Barren Demon Halberd appeared with a hum. The universe was destroyed, and everything was in shambles.

*Boom!*

The unparalleled halberd swept across the air. Everything in the world seemed to be affected before the weapon pierced through the Ancestor of the Lu Clan. The next moment, there was a sound of something gushing out. Next, a bang could soon be heard as the old being was torn into pieces, bits of his white bone splashed everywhere. His soul too, split open and turned into ashes. Until the moment he died, there was still horror, disbelief, shock and regret on his face.

“H-How is this possible…”

Xuang Gang and the other True Daoist were stunned, and they couldn’t help their shaky voice as their faces turned pale. They never expected that the Ancestor of the Lu Clan would be cut apart and annihilated by Gu Changge just like that. Not a hint of his aura could be detected here. It was as if the Ancestor had never existed.

The shock from what had transpired before their eyes was so great they almost started wondering if it was all a hallucination.

As if he had done something trivia, Gu Changge remained impassive even after he killed a True Daoist with one blow. He then looked at Xuang Gang and the other True Daoist before he casually spoke. “It’s your turn now.”

The Celestial Seal of the Nine Mountains above his head was shaking slightly. This was the fear of something with a spiritual nature towards fierce and terrifying things. At this moment, it could feel the horrifying power to destroy the world the Eight Barren Demon Halberd contained.

“Who exactly are you?” the other True Daoist whose True Form was that of a Nine-Headed Golden Bird gulped. He could feel his goosebumps all over. This was the first time he had seen a True Daoist getting killed so easily. This wasn’t something he dared to imagine before today. Everything that had happened had shocked and frightened them right down to their souls. As True Daoists, they were supposed to be invincible. And now that the Immortal Realm could not be reached, they were practically unbeatable.

Xuang Gang reacted quickly by yelling, “Run!” His terror-stricken face was ashen. He didn’t expect Gu Changge to hide his true powers. [The Mountain Elders of the Nine Great Mountains have probably met their doom as well.]

Immediately, he shifted into his True Form which was bigger than the Milky Way and fled into the distance. However, there was a red glow faster than him the next second. It looked like a sword, but the whistling sound it let out left the River of Time in chaos, and the entire universe seemed to have been slashed.

Gu Changge’s Immortal-Killing Gourd was glowing as it floated on his palm.

There was a red glow being spewed out of the mouth of the gourd, and it slowly morphed into terrifying Sword Qi that caught up to Xuang Gang and circled around his neck.

*Cick!*

A monstrous rain of blood splattered, flooding the universe when Xuang Gang’s head rolled, his eyes still filled with horror.

Seeing this, the True Daoist with the Nine-Headed Golden Bird as his True Form whimpered, “D-Don’t kill me. I’ll submit to you!” He was too frightened to even consider running away. Even though he was fast himself, he didn’t dare try to outrun Gu Changge’s attack. He couldn’t begin to imagine what would happen to him if he ran when even the staunch Xuang Gang was beheaded by the Sword Qi.

“You’re smart for not running away,” Gu Changge smiled.

Joy could be seen written all over the Nine-Headed Golden Bird’s face when he heard that. He could see hope all of a sudden.

“But it’s a pity,” Gu Changge suddenly continued melancholically. “All of you have to die today, or else my identity will be exposed.”

The True Daoist immediately went pale again, and he shivered in fear and despair.

*Splat*

There was once again a horrifying, gory scene before everything became dead silent. The entire universe was ruined, and Chaos Qi rushed in from all sides like it was going to submerge the world. No fluctuations or traces were left here.

    1. Out of 3 trump card places, he’s going to deal with all 3 of them. Out of the few daoists remaining, he already handled 11. If it’s not at least half, I’m gonna riot.
