Best of all, we can assume Zuo De will fail and waste the materials collected. Thus, proving all his pomp and delay was just undeserved arrogance. Pretty much the ultimate loss of face.
May even have to drop that pretentious flying couch thingie.
He never used the core he only used the heart in refining the pill he gave to that elder from the Sword Union.

So let me get this str8..he put his freedom on the line to benefit their Chamber of commerce and he’s supposedly had 0 chance of winning from the beginning but this Long guy wants to give the shameless old man the ingredients when he was commissioned to come here and use them in the first place but instead chose to put on airs ? It makes total sense from his perspective lol. Use that head of yours a little. They don’t believe YK can refine the pill, at all. They want the Grandmaster to have the materials and since it’s a bet where he has to refine 60 OK pills a year if he loses he can’t fail, hence saving Gu Bi Hu.
The whole premise from everyones perspective is YK using his freedom to get that pill and save Gu Bi Hu while also getting rid of the marriage proposal.

All is fine fellow Daoist, sometimes seeing things in different perspectives is not easy.
Long Chen gave a nice example in NSHBA. A guy steals medicine to save his dying mother and you have 4 perspectives at that moment.
The “thief”, the “victim”, the “bystanders”, and the “mother”
🤔Interesting that you pointed out this specific instance as actually the thief and his starving mother’s example directly went more against Long Chen’s own position than Zi Yan’s. All those side people who get brought in to kill Long Chen by the ringleaders, can’t they also have had their own “viewpoints”? But Long Chen, a lot of the times, doesn’t give them any chance. On the other hand, Zi Yan, when leaning towards their “innocence”, is actually the one who is looking at other “viewpoints”.
Of course, Long Chen doesn’t have the luxury to give others a chance, but on the other hand, Zi Yan hasn’t actually killed those who disagree with her, therefore, this particular example really wasn’t the best to use in Long Chen’s defence.
Brother Heretic, clearly Senior has not read “I am a great immortal”, if there is a manga that frustrated it’s readers to no end on the “look down on hero and insult his abilities, but later get jaws dropped” scenario, nobody does it more infruiating than this manga.

I have not read the “I am great Immortal” but have read “wu dong qian kun” and “yuan zun” and they were too frustrating that i had to drop it.clearly sometimes I think “xuanhuan” and “wuxia” setting is better than “xianxia” but my brain cells are dead so I always return after sometime to read the chapter but importantly the commentsXD.
