After finishing their conversation, the two looked outside the city, though they were unable to see anything through the darkness. The only thing they could make out was the constantly surging Demon Qi, still appearing to be gathering towards a certain location. Within the patch of jet-black Demon Qi, various roars of demonic creatures continued to ring out, making everyone’s hair stand on end.
“Where the hell did all of these damn things come from?”
Outside of the city, a deep frown had covered Yang Kai’s face. Before he had exited the city, he wasn’t able to notice this. However, upon leaving the city and entering this endlessly dark world, he was gradually able to discover the seemingly endless amount of demonic creatures within the Demon Qi.
Furthermore, just like a speck of radiance within the jet black world, he attracted countless demonic creatures to encircle and attack him.

Snowflakes started fluttering down from the sky, and as they fluttered by the bodies of the surrounding demonic creatures, miserable shrieks rang out as they were sliced into halves.
Take big gulps and exhaling heavily, balls of fire and bolts of lightning shot out from the Blue Flame Thunder Wolf’s mouth. Although the might of its attacks weren’t comparable to the Queen Monster Insect, it was still able to hold its own.

The blood radiance blossoming from the two great Blood Beasts was so dense, they appeared to be corporeal. Stained with a weak golden-red brilliance, they continued to reject the advancement of the seemingly unstoppable Demon Qi.

However, the strange thing was that he was still in the Third-Order Origin King realm!

As the flashes of light shot over, the Jiang Family Elder’s body was sliced into four parts.
Before he died, there was unexpectedly not even a shred of terror in his eyes. On the contrary, roars continued to ring out from his mouth, as though he had turned into a raving lunatic.
“Whoosh…” right at this instant, a figure wielding a sword suddenly appeared behind Yang Kai. The sword was completely black in colour, with a jet black aura radiating from its entire blade. With a flash, the sword pieced towards the back of Yang Kai’s head.
As this figure surfaced, the Blue Flame Thunder Wolf opened its mouth to shoot out a brazier-sized fireball right at it.
However, this person unexpectedly did not evade or dodge, choosing to meet the fireball head-on. The jet black Demon Qi that surrounded it scattered apart, accompanied by a wave of a charred smell.

Now that you mention it… Also, does he still have the golden skeleton? I remember that thing being able to hold demonic qi without harming Yang Kai before
His skeleton should still indeed be golden and have demon properties since it was originally great demon God’s, thus should have some natural resist to the corruption without constantly keeping it out with source qi. I gues we can just add that to another useful ability of his the Author just chalked. I wonder how long it’ll be till the golden threads follow in the steps of the nine heavens profound skills😹
You can’t compare the threads to the martial skills of TX Realm. The threads are first of all based on his blood, so as long as his blood/body get stronger they are still relevant, and second there will always be stronger monster beasts, so he can always make stronger blood beasts.
Compared to that, why would he need to use the martial skills like the shield when he can simply use an artifact that is far stronger, banish the attack with space force or simply let it phase through him with Nihility.
Skills get outdated, especially when going to a higher realm. I take it as a win that he still uses the Demon Eye since TX Realm, though that makes it imo special, since it seems to grow with him and is now far stronger than it ever was for the original user. I mean Great Demon God was only a 1st Order Saint King at best.
Well, he’s been cultivating his physique quite a bit, so his skeleton did not exactly stay at the Saint-Saint King level. And his own black flames (which he definitely used since coming to this city) are literally half demonic qi. And if he could use those black flames to resist fire poison directly from the Emperor’s fire rings while still at Saint King realm – why can’t he use ’em to resist this stuff 3 major realms since then?

Wu meng chuan did it and the embodiment is said to have even more affinity with the heaven devouring art thanks to the stone puppet physique, so why not ? It did say any and all energies afterall

It’s pretty simple, the ability to absorb pretty much every kind of energy is a dead ass giveaway that he has the Battle Law, and please remember that many of the great emperors attacked the great emperor who had that ability because it went “against the heavens”, whatever that means at this current point.
So him summoning his embodiment for one, and then using it in the open for two, is nothing but trouble.
I always see so many “why doesn’t he use this and that ability/skill” comments when the consequences make absolutely zero sense to use it.
Consequences my arse…pretty sure the embodiment has been summoned many times b4 and from an outsiders perspective it just appeared out of thin air and similarly vanished in thin air. Aside from its face maybe having some resembling features to Yang kai’s, no one would even have an inkling as to what happened and whom happened

Thirdly, you are refering to back in the starfield. This is the star boundary with people many times older and more knowledgeable. To reiterate, all it takes is for someone with some ability to make a guess and to simply be suspicious and track down Yk to check.
Lmao, rather logic my arse on your part.
First, he Embodiment has been openly summoned twice, once outside of the floating continent it absorbed and inside the Purple Star’s Capital, both cases were in his Star Field before it had the Heaven Devouring Battle Law and nobody in the star boundary knows about that.
Second, how the f do you make the claim that it only takes an instant to absorb the Demon Qi, that’s an assumption at best on your part. How fast it can be sent in and out of the World Bead is irellevant to you proposition of how he should handle the situation.
Third, there is at least one 3rd Order Dao Source guy in the City from the Flying whatever Palace. YK already saw him so using an Emperor Artifact like the World Bead is another risk.
And again fourth, multiple Great Emperors (that means 3+ of 10) attacked this Great Emperor because of it. If word gets out that there is even a tiny chance that he has it, any sensible person in this story would rather kill YK than take the risk of the coming of another Heaven Devouring Emperor, not to mention that they can get the fame of eliminating a future disaster from the Star Boundary.

I think sillavin was trolling us, not only hasn’t the quality not declined, the translation/phrasing of this chapter was incomparably better than that of the last 50 or so chapters. This is more like the og god-like translations we’ve been getting once upon a time b4 there was 3 chapters a day😪
