I mean, if THIS is what you want to take issue with, then I won’t stop you, but Gong Yue was possessed by a
demon & his strength increase was very minimal, he didn’t go up a realm to Emperor 3.
There is a lore reason why Tian Yan could not become/remain a Great Emperor, even though I won’t say what it
is because it’s technically a spoiler.

The gong guy was did not got much powerful after getting infection… Till the end he only made use of the dog to fight using his own array control….when the dog was dealt with, he died in one punch. Tho he got knowledge from demon spirit he didnt got a power up as he did not cuptivate that sanskrit character are or something
Yes, I agree with brother Zeref, Gong Yue did not power up much due to being possessed by the demon spirit , he was not even able to resist a single attack from a 2nd order Emperor. Mostly he used the power of his arrays or by controlling other demon beast like the dog to do the fighting for him.
So when you compare gong yue being powerful and tian Yan for being weak, this point is moot. TY soul is at great Emperor level but his physical body is just born, it is not inconceivable to think that he will need to cultivate his body from scratch again.

Tian Yan was to become the Bottomless Spit Great Emperor, it’s a shame really.
why the world need to reject another great emperor level? what happen if some great emperor from another world come to visit this world? did this world still try to reject them?
what happen in the past that demon great emperor level come to this world? the demon saint? doesn’t seem got reject from what YK experience in that sealed world.
I think the demon realm isn’t another world like the star boundary, but instead it’s a sealed world that’s also a part of the star boundary, so they share the same principles, and a person born in the demon realm won’t be rejected by the star boundary. Tian Yan was born in the divine ascension mirror, which is a separate world from the star boundary and has its own rules and principles so I guess he was being treated as an outsider by the star boundary. That’s just my theory though, how the demon realm is related to the star boundary will probably be explained soon enough.
