Why do I have the ‘Devil King Slayer’ title as well?
…Maybe, just maybe, it’s due to my contribution to that battle. Which is understandable, but I’m not quite convinced. I need a more… definite reason for this result. And if contribution actually was a deciding factor, it’s strange that neither Giorno nor Lylia seemed to have gotten it. Or is it that their contributions weren’t enough or of the right type?
……Or is this title I got actually a different one from Pochi’s, despite looking the same?
No, that can’t be possible.
Anyway…
Considering the state of my body, I can understand my numerical MP being stuck at 0. My HP, on the other hand, has increased at about the same rate as Pochi’s… or actually even at a significantly greater rate?
My title of ‘Hero of the Nation’ has become ‘Hero of the World’, the same as Pochi. Lylia probably has it, too.
Maybe as an effect of the Levitation spell, the title ‘Airwalker’ has turned into ‘Skyruler’.
‘Boundary Specialist’ probably is a result of me casting Sancta Boundary countless times during the battle against the Devil King.
‘One Acknowledged By Legends’ is simple enough — I was acknowledged by the two other Holy Warriors.
‘Granter of Courage’… could this be from what I said to June when we went our separate ways?
I did teach things to Irene and some of the other Archmages, so ‘Instructor of Archmages’ seems perfectly fitting.
But what’s up with this… ‘Leole Mask’? Why am I an ‘Impostor’? Oh, right… because Leon is technically the real one.
Because of the friendship between me and Sagan, I got ‘Friend of War Demon Emperors’ — pretty cool.
Did I get ‘Time Master’ just from using the Time Teleportation spell once or twice? Talk about handing out rewards like candy.
‘The Resistance’… probably has a positive effect.
‘Friend of Black Emperors’… So I guess I really am friends with Warren. And maybe his ancestor, Bright, actually is out there somewhere in this era as well.
‘Undoer of Seals’ must be from when I undid the seal on Lylia’s Crystal.
‘Sparring Partner of Elves’ is also self-explanatory — I did fight with Tūs and Lylia a fair bit.
‘Infiltrator’ and ‘Abductor’ are probably what I got from breaking into Regalia Castle.
‘Soybean Maniac’… is it from that meal with Haruhana where everything was made of soybeans? Huh.
‘Iron Guard’… I guess it was from that time I effortlessly tanked hits from the Zombie King, Ghoul King, and Orc King… and similarly, ‘Fiddler of Three Kings’ came from how I played them like a damn fiddle.
‘Teleporter’, despite sounding simple, is probably the culmination of my three inventions — Instant Transmission, Teleportation, and Time Teleportation.
While Pochi got ‘Utter Disgrace’, I got ‘Even Worse Utter Disgrace’… Yeah, I’ll admit, I’ve humiliated myself more than she ever has. Man, I envy the doggo’s relative shamelessness sometimes.
As the one running the magic classroom, it’s understandable that I got ‘The Leader’ and ‘Magitek User’, and similarly, ‘Thunder Deity’ must have come from playing a part in enhancing Jeanne’s original magic spell.
…What’s ‘Defender of the World’ supposed to be, anyway? Is it from casting Magic Shield for various places all over the world? Well, that makes sense, seeing that it must’ve appeared at around the same time as ‘Human Shield’, which undoubtedly came from me defending Irene.
And speaking of which, I was told that my heart actually stopped beating for a while. Is that why I’m a ‘Zombie’?
‘Grand Master’s Benefactor’… if not for Minerva’s story, I probably never would have figured out what this meant.
I don’t understand why ‘Roof Crusher’ and ‘Bed Crusher’ even exist as titles — I mean, that DID happen, but what good did it even do? It only made Itsuki angry… and besides, it was Pochi’s fault!
And because I made Irene cry, I got ‘The Insensitive’… which is understandable, but again, why is it even a title in the first place?
…Oh, I have ‘The Investigator’ as well…
I still don’t know what it’s supposed to mean. A generic title everyone gets when they reach level 300, maybe? Very curious…
“What’s wrong, Master? You look like you’re deep in thought.”
“……It’s strange.”
“What’s strange, sir? …Hup! Invoke!”
Pochi snatched my Appraisal Glasses and proceeded to look at her status sheet, then mine.
“AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!”
And while Pochi laughed uncontrollably, I kept on thinking… wondering why all this is so abnormal.

“Being funny has nothing to do with this, damn it.”

With me saying that, Pochi clapped her front paws.
“T-that’s exactly right, sir! I do NOT have them!”
“Same thing for ‘Sparring Partner of Elves’ — you were also fighting them back then, you know?”
“WHAT!? Does that mean I’m being left out!?”
“There are others, too — ‘One Acknowledged by Legends’, ‘Instructor of Archmages’, and ‘Friend of War Demon Emperors’. Well, maybe not ‘Instructor of Archmages’ since you aren’t as involved, but the two others were from Giorno, Lylia, and Sagan… people who must have acknowledged you as much as they acknowledged me.”
“…Despite that, you got the titles, while I didn’t. What’s the meaning of that, sir?”
“Hmm…”
I thought about it more, scratching my head.
Anyway, since I’ve got so many titles, it makes sense that I was able to beat Lylia in her boosted state
Even if I had talent as a WARRIOR, it wasn’t understandable at all that I managed to beat a former Holy Warrior like her.
Recently… actually, JUST NOW, my belief about one particular thing changed.
–I possess way too many titles.
Pochi has a lot, too, perhaps due to her long life and powerful personality, but even then, I have quite a bit more than her.

Heading back to the magic classroom venue, we were greeted with surprise from Irene, Warren, and Lylia.
“I wish you would have shown us how to use the Limit Breakthrough once, you know — That way, you would have gotten stronger, too.”
Irene said sarcastically.
“Pochi, I wish this version of you were there to help us back at the Scarlet Devil Wetlands — Miss Lylia would have had a much easier time then.”
Warren said sarcastically.
“What a dumbass.”
Lylia said… quite bluntly, actually.
Well, I honestly can’t do anything but agree with them.
Suddenly, a little girl hopped down from the roof of a nearby building.
“Ash!”
Well, actually, no — Melchi technically isn’t a little girl.
I’ve heard from Irene that she was another one of her classmates, along with Gaston and Billy. What a surprise.
Melchi must’ve used an Arcane Energy Circulation Optimizer, just like Irene.
She’s also pursued a topic of research similar to Irene’s at around the same time, supposedly.
“What’s up, Mel?”
“Big guy’s callin’!”
“You mean Tūs?”
What does he want now?
He was here just now, and there shouldn’t be anything preventing him from shooting me a Telepathic Call.
While wondering that, I headed once again toward the south of Eddo.
The three others are coming along as well, maybe to see how we train to get used to our bodies.
After we walked through the south gate of Eddo, the looks in Pochi and Lylia’s eyes changed.
Warren and Irene seem to have noticed, too.
“Sure is quiet ’round here.”

Warren answered to clear up my doubt,
“Yes, all of the arcane essences around us are converging towards a single point.”
Normally, I would have been able to tell, but right now, I just have to trust my allies when it comes to things relating to the use of arcane energy.
Anyway, what is this supposed to mean? Does it have anything to do with why Tūs has called me here?
Suddenly, I saw Tūs in the distance… and my body froze.
At first glance, he looks like he’s relaxing with the way he’s sitting cross-legged, but his back is straight, and he’s casting his eyes down in silence.
His sheer concentration feels especially strong.
The arcane energy in and around him is so dense that even the wind seems to avoid blowing his way — even I, exhausted of arcane energy, could tell that.
“So, you done?”
Tūs asked me, his eyes still closed.
“W-what?”
“Limit Breakthrough, what else?”
“Uh-huh? Yeah, I’m done with it now, why?”
The moment I gave my answer, Tūs opened his eyes — and at the same time, a huge blast of green light burst forth.
I’ve never seen Tūs act like this before. Not even that time he tested me when I was about to infiltrate Regalia Castle.
His expression looks completely serious, his arcane energy tensed up.
The pressure is so powerful that no one could bring themselves to speak.
Aside from Tūs himself, of course.
“So I think it’s about time for your graduation exam…”
