Mo Wentian clapped, “Amazing, old man, I thought I was dead back there.”

The Immortal Emperor flicked the iron sword to get rid of the blood. “Rather than die in the Trial Tower in your disabled state, you’re better off letting me teach you.

Your survival is entirely in your hands.”

The one-eyed Immortal Emperor gave control back to Mo Wentian.

He gave a grave nod. “You’re almost sounded nice back there, old man, if not for leeching off me for over a decade.”

    The Immortal Emperor: “…”

The old man was earnest in teaching this wayward sheep and Mo Wentian had an easier time facing the incoming abominations, his skills improving from one fight to the next.

When his life was on the line, with even the slightest mistake ending it, Mo Wentian took everything with extreme caution.

He still had Ruhua to return to in Dragonised City.

Chen Changan, overlooked his Absolute Domain like a god, his gaze piercing every corner of the Trial Tower.

His fast friend, Brother Mo, up and got strong enough to easily hack abominations like those Immortal Domain geniuses. Only for the next second to turn into a scaredy cat, almost dying a couple of times.

“Brother Mo has his own secrets, I see, like a true underdog.” Chen Changan smiled.

The abominations were tough, but the cultivators weren’t pushovers either.

Killing the creatures and getting to level 4 then passing the third floor wasn’t that much of a hurdle for most of them.

The audience outside the Trial Tower commented on the cultivators fighting on the screens.

When one contestant had a gruesome death, he up and found himself popping outside, dumbstruck by the sudden change.

[Weren’t I just killed? How am I still alive?]

He soon came to know his circumstances from the other cultivators and shuddered from shock.

    [The hell?! That’s madness!]

[We’ll be revived from dying inside the Trial Tower? Our rewards increase the higher we go?]

In the end, around four thousand people died on the third floor while a thousand made out, reaching the fourth trial, leaving the rest to struggle.

The audience’s attention shifted to those that passed the quickest.

They commented how only one of them could pass the Trial Tower and become Senior’s disciple.

The most eye-catching of them all were Fa Tian, Bai Yue, Qin Xiuwen, and a young demon with white eyes.  They were the flashiest and fastest contenders.

The four mowed down any abominations in their path, their moves beyond powerful. This proved they were someone of status, of power. Many cultivators reckoned these had to be recultivating Upper Realm geniuses.

From the third floor to the seventeenth, the Trial Tower was riddled with abominations. Their strength increased the higher one went. At the same time, leveling required more and more XP which in turn translated into more abominations to kill.

Chen Changan only had to use Creation in tandem with the Ruler of Life and Death to respawn the abominations.

Fa Tian, due to his Tyrant Demon Body, the more he fought, the stronger he became. It gave him the edge he needed to take the lead in the disciple contest by leaving all of them behind on the fourth floor while he got the level up needed to reach the fifth floor.

But Bai Yue, Qin Xiuwen, and the others weren’t that far behind either.

Thanks to being spread out on the floor, they could focus on passing the trials and not fight among each other to steal their Trial Grain.

They were all vying for the top and wanted to cull the competition.

    Foxy?

Chen Changan glanced over and saw the adorable thing had an easy ride on the second floor, with no one bothering her.

But on the third, while no one got near her, the same didn’t apply for abominations, who had no qualms tearing into her.

To make things worse, she ended up going against a group of those things. Tens of them, each an elite oozing dreadful power.

They hissed as they lunged for Foxy.

The frightened Foxy paled. Her battle experience was next to zero and now she was surrounded.

The Immortal Domain geniuses could’ve handled it, but the fight only started and she already got torn limb from limb, with blood splattering every which way.

May cultivators couldn’t bear to watch. They thought Foxy had an easy ride, being Senior’s disciple, but ended up brutally massacred on the third floor.

Foxy found herself revived on Soaring Immortal Mountain and panicked.

Chen Changan squinted at her. “Isn’t the Trial Tower fun, Foxy?”
