Gu Changge had also not expected to obtain so much information from some Enlightened Noble Realm native he had captured randomly. The hidden cave of the Supreme Being, and the Stage of Enlightenment.

He could guess the situation based on the instructions of the Elders and the existence of the Slave Mark. Combining his knowledge of the outdated story patterns, he came to the following conclusion. The Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being did not kill the ancestors of these creatures after suppressing them with his power. Instead, he planted Slave Marks and also left them with the task tof guarding the precious treasure that he had left for his successor. But after the long passage of time, they had most likely become disloyal to him. The fact that many powerful natives were looking for Ye Ling’s group right now was the best proof of this.

Although Gu Changge was also scheming to steal Ye Ling’s fortuitous opportunity, he still planned on sparing his scapegoat’s life so that Ye Ling could continue ‘faithfully fulfilling his duties’. Even if he wanted to kill Ye Ling, it was not possible at this time. Nonetheless, Gu Changge had already carefully planned how things were going to progress from here. The Slave Mark had given him a good opportunity to do his thing.

[Come to think of it, the Stage of Enlightenment that the Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being has left behind shouldn’t belong to Ye Ling alone. Otherwise, the Elders wouldn’t be able to occupy it for so long, and are now unwilling to part with it.] After getting a grasp on the situation, Gu Changge disposed of the carcass inside the Inner World and left the place. According to the result of the Soul Search, Five Greatest Races existed close to these ruins, and their ancestors were all slaves of the Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being. The search for Ye Ling was being conducted by them.

[With Ye Ling’s ability, it’s impossible for him to get any advantage over the five greatest races. But since it’s a test, there definitely will be an opportunity left for him… These old shits really like to do things in such an outdated way. In this day and age, the fortuitous opportunity belongs to the one who snatches it. No one cares about these tests.] Gu Changge could not help but sneer.

[Ye Ling would now go to look for the hidden cave of the Supreme Being. There must be something in there he could make use of to keep the Five Greatest Races in check. Afterwards, he’ll use said means to make the Five Greatest Races serve him, which would greatly help him in this place. If my guess is right, this hidden cave should be a type of small world that one can carry on by themself. I wonder how it is compared to my Inner World? Just what kind of wonderful treasures did the Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being leave behind for Ye Ling? Though… all this planning by him is most likely going to make things convenient for me in the end.] Gu Changge narrowed his eyes as he smiled. He had a thought-provoking look on his face.

After analyzing the matters of the past and present, he had also nearly analyzed the events of the future. His next plan was obvious. To find the cave that was hidden by the Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being. He would definitely not hinder Ye Ling and would even lend him a hand so that the ‘treasure-hunting rat’ could find the hidden cave for him. Gu Changge was not in the mood to experience this so-called test. He had always liked to pick the fruit once it fully ripens.

[Don’t know how long it’s going to take him to find the hidden cave. But since Yin Mei is there by Ye Ling’s side, I don’t need to be in a hurry.] He felt relieved as he thought.

The void grew fuzzy as Gu Changge stepped in it and appeared thousands of meters away. After swiftly leaving this place, he also left this whole area. As he travelled inside the void, he avoided the detection of a large number of natives. During this time, he passed by the remains of many ancient buildings as he made his way to the depths of the city. Comparing the size, this city was not at all inferior to the ancient cities of the outside world. Furthermore, it was even better in some aspects. The pavilions were tall and vast, looking extremely towering. They had a majestic and ancient aura which told of their glorious past.

[According to the memories of that Enlightened Noble Realm native, the Great Elder of the Black Hawk Family holds the greatest authority among the current Five Greatest Races, and his cultivation has already reached the Sacred Noble Realm.] Gu Changge’s body appeared and disappeared inside the fuzzy void. He had a composed expression as he looked across the place below.

There were numerous natives here, guarding the place. Powerful formation runes were carved in many places and they contained great power. Once they were activated, they could easily annihilate someone below the Enlightened Realm. There were also many Partial-Enlightened Realm commanders patrolling every part of the city.

[The ancestor of the Black Hawk Family should be hiding at the depths of the city. His cultivation has transcended the Sacred Noble Realm, and has likely even reached the Sacred King Realm. If I chose to fight him head-on, it’d be troublesome for me. It’s very likely that I’d end up exposing my identity too.] There was a pondering look in Gu Changge’s eyes. He naturally had a plan and he was very certain of its success.

Things were different here than in the outside world as it was difficult for him to casually use his terrifying background to his advantage. While it felt good to suppress others with the power of his family, and the process was also more convenient and faster that way, ‘there is a time and place for everything’.

[The Stage of Enlightenment is now under the control of the Black Hawk Family, so it looks like I need to start out with them…] As he thought about it, the void became fuzzy and he stepped inside once again. His body blurred for a moment as it immediately left this place. He had headed over to an extremely lively pavilion that many natives were regularly entering and exiting. Three words in the written language of the Celestial Ancient Continent could be seen at the entrance, ‘Drunk Immortal Pavilion’. Taking the memories of the Enlightened Noble Realm native into consideration, he chose this place to aim at the weak spot of the Great Elder of the Black Hawk Family.

……

On the top floor of the Drunk Immortal Pavilion.

Inside a magnificent looking private room with celestial mist winded around. Several young natives that did not seem to be from the human race were talking with each other. They were covered in the light from treasures they possessed. Their clothes and accessories seemed extraordinary. The young man sitting at the very centre was surrounded by others and had a beautiful woman of another race in his arms. He was wearing a bright and beautiful robe and had a pale face, making him seem frivolous. He had pitch-black wings with black light flowing through them that looked just like the wings of a giant hawk. This group of people were communicating in the Celestial Ancient Language.

There was a young woman with beautiful looks among them who had jade-like skin and a snake tail. She asked with curiosity, “What exactly happened in the city to alarm so many people? They have dispatched many experts to be on the lookout, and many existences of the Enlightened Noble Realm have appeared as well. It seems like they’re searching for something. Did a cultivator from the outside world infiltrate the city?”

“It’s quite possible. The cultivators from the outside world are so bold that they dare to trespass our cities and encampments. They really do not value their lives. They really think that just because the old generation isn’t allowed to take action against them personally, there’d be no danger to their lives, huh?” Someone burst into laughter.

Hearing the other party’s words, another young native spoke with disdain, “If not for the fact that we can’t move over to the outside world due to arrangements made from the Celestial Ancient Times, those factions of the outside world wouldn’t be able to exist in the first place.”

They had a good understanding of this ‘training’. They knew that it was being jointly held by the Lost Clans of the Celestial Ancient Continent and the factions of the outside world. On the surface, it was an occasion for the young generation to compete against each other, but who could really guarantee that someone from the old generation would not get involved in it? Since the outsiders have dared to come to their settlements, they had better be prepared to pay the price.

“Since all the Five Greatest Races have sent their men to catch the outsiders, it shouldn’t be a trivial matter.”

While talking with each other, they looked at the man in a bright and beautiful robe and spoke to him with a fawning expression.

“Brother Hei Ming is so amazing to have an Enlightened Noble Realm attendant. All of us Four Great Silkpants have done quite a lot of things as we wished for many years, but we are still far worse when compared to you.”

The young man called Hei Ming was sitting in the middle of them. Hearing the praise, a proud look appeared on his face for a moment, but he still shook his head as he explained, “Commander Hei Yu is not at my service now. He has also been dispatched by grandfather to be on the lookout for all the suspicious outsiders.”

Hearing his words, everyone else had a flash of realisation. They grew increasingly curious about the events that have been happening these past few days.

The woman with the snake tail could not help but ask, “Brother Hei Ming, do you know what exactly happened? Why are the Five Greatest Families suddenly in a state of extreme suspicion and fear?”

Hei Ming was the only one among them who was a direct descendant of one of the Five Greatest Families. He hailed from the Black Hawk Family. It was possible for him to know a lot more than them. Although none of them had ordinary identities, it was still far inferior to a direct descendant of one of the Five Greatest Families.

However, Hei Ming joining their group showcased how he did not have a special identity and position within his family. In this world ruled by the law of the jungle, a true direct descendant would look down on them. Compared to others of the same generation in the Black Hawk Family, Hei Ming’s cultivation talent was ordinary, so much so that he appeared like a good-for-nothing. The situation was so bad that one could even hear rumours about him being the good-of-nothing of the Black Hawk Family all the way here!

Many natives ridiculed him in secret, and some of the members of the Black Hawk Family treated him with indifference and contempt, paying no attention to him at all. Even after a large quantity of cultivation resources were spent on him, his strength was only at the Transcendent Realm, and he was far from reaching the Mighty-Transcended Realm. He had done nothing but be a disgrace to the Black Hawk Family. It was precisely because of this reason that Hei Ming lost his will to achieve anything, despite the fact that he used to be someone who was very ambitious to improve himself and cultivated arduously. Afterwards, he tried to drown his worries in wine and hung around brothels all day long. Later on, he became the leader of this group that was called the Four Great Silkpants.

Hei Ming’s story sounded very tragic and depressing, and it almost made Gu Changge misunderstand that he was someone that was following the ‘after a contrived encounter, a good-for-nothing becomes overpowered and shames others that looked down on him’ story cliche.

Gu Changge came to know about him through the Soul Search on the Enlightened Noble Realm native. But it was clear that it was not the case. Even if Hei Ming had a very ordinary cultivation talent, he still had a special background… His older sister was the most outstanding prodigy of the Black Hawk Family and his grandfather was the Great Elder of the Black Hawk Family who held the greatest authority. With such a powerful background, even if he was just a silkpants that only knew how to be a troublemaker and had no wish to be successful, no one would dare throw shade in front of him nor provoke him.

Though, how much trouble could a harmless silkpants like him really create? Rather than worry about being associated with him, a lot of people flattered him in an attempt to get close to the Black Hawk Family. Especially now that a large number of natives had come to know that Master Long Teng of True Dragon Clan, one of the Lost Clans, had taken a liking to Hei Ming’s older sister. This caused his identity to become even more special. Thanks to his older sister, he had an attendant at the Enlightened Noble Realm assigned to him. His prestige was at its peak, and his situation made many young natives extremely envious.

Hearing the question of the woman from the Snakeman Family, Hei Ming replied with a smug look, “I heard that the matter has to do with the fate of the Great Five Families. It is of great importance. The Elders from other families had also come over to discuss it…”

In truth, he also did not know the reason. His identity and position in the Black Hawk Family was really embarrassing, as he was treated like an invisible person. Almost no one else in the family other than his older sister and grandfather cared about him. Even though Hei Ming did not show it on his face, he still had the thirst and the ambition to become a magnificent genius like his older sister. He wanted to be dazzling and be revered by countless people.

*Buzz!* None of the young natives talking and laughing there noticed faint ripples spreading in the void to the side. After all, it was impossible to be perceived even by a Sacred Realm existence, and it was even more so with their current cultivation level.

“Young man, do you want to become strong? Do you want to stand above countless people?” Suddenly, an illusory voice drifted into Hei Ming’s ears.
