As soon as Hei Ming heard that, he opened his eyes wide. He sprung up from his seat in disbelief. He even let go of the woman he was holding in his arms, and she fell to the ground with shock all over her face.

“Who’s speaking? Who!?” Hei Ming’s sudden scream thundered through the room.

Amidst the celestial mist, everyone except for him was thoroughly dazed and baffled. It was as if they didn’t hear those words, as though those words were Hei Ming’s hallucination.

“What’s wrong, Brother Hei Ming?” The rest were dumbfounded, feigning sympathy toward him. They were surprised by how Hei Ming stood up and yelled out of nowhere. Nonetheless, they felt obliged to express their concern given the circumstances.

“It’s nothing.” Growing silent, Hei Ming returned to his seat. He thought perhaps it was his recent desperation for power that caused him to hallucinate at such a time. Essentially, the voice was too ambiguous and subtle, as if it was out of his own imagination.

Seeing as Hei Ming’s face grew gloomier as he was bewildered, the crowd tacitly announced their retreat before leaving. Given how he was behaving oddly today, they thought it was best that they saw themselves out.

Swiftly, Hei Ming became the only person remaining in the room. He was still visibly dazed and perplexed as he had yet to come to his senses, as though the others’ departure did not affect him at all. In fact, to him, it was his first time hearing about his deepest, greatest desire. He craved to be stronger and become an invincible being that was admired by every soul.

At that moment, the ambiguous voice sounded once again in his mind. “Oh, young one, do you wish to be stronger and become an invincible being that is admired by every soul?”

The voice was cold and ancient, bearing not a trace of emotion, as if it was spoken by a higher being of unknown age that oversaw the world. The voice that came from an unknown source seemed to carry a dense power as it left Hei Ming opening his eyes in shock and dismay.

“Who…” His voice trembled, and so did his entire body. He was now certain that what he just heard was no hallucination. He was surprised, excited, and thrilled, but at the same time a little scared.

[According to numerous stories I have heard before, those who had undergone a slump were bound to reach a turning point. Are the wishes I craved so much finally going to be fulfilled today? Is this my lucky break? I must be the protagonist of my own tale! I’m bound to meet a mysteriously powerful expert who will eventually lead me to the top of the world!]

In that instant, Hei Ming thought it was a god sent opportunity for him. After all, only someone with immeasurable power could reach his mind and voice his desires. Thus, he did not even doubt the voice’s intentions.

He lived in the Black Hawk Family as if he was an invisible man. Except for his grandfather and his sister, no one ever took another glance at him. He was just an insignificant, unremarkable, ordinary being. He was someone only a blind imaginary expert would be interested in.

Right now, Hei Ming was immensely thrilled as if he had hit the jackpot. Without even giving it a thought, he hastily dropped to his knees. Exhilarated, he stuttered with a shaky voice, “Yes, Senior! Y-Yes!”

His repetitive utterance of his willingness clearly showed how excited he was. The longer one’s desire was suppressed, the greater their emotional outburst would be.

Meanwhile, Gu Changge, hiding in the void, was observing him in fascination without showing himself. Thanks to the memories of the Enlightened Noble Realm native, he received an abundant amount of information. He learned about this good-for-nothing Young Master of the Black Hawk Family. Given Hei Ming’s look of frustration and reluctance along with his atrocious position in his family, Gu Changge easily figured out what this young man desired.

[Having such a respected, exceptional woman for a sister while he’s an unworthy nobody… Hell, even I can’t stand such pressure!]

Gu Changge had no intention of acting like some sort of ancient sage. Since Hei Ming’s Fortuity level was normal, he thought it was best to use him as a pawn. Moreover, since no one would ever pay attention to an invisible man like him, it could significantly lessen the attention he would garner, and things could run much more smoothly.

Besides, the Black Hawk Family was the legacy left behind since ancient times, and even Gu Changge couldn’t fathom the power they truly possessed. Essentially, he wasn’t only aiming for the legacy of the Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being, but the Black Hawk Family as well; one of the Four Greatest Races. Although his goal might sound insane, it wasn’t exactly impossible.

As of now, Gu Changge had two choices lying in front of me. The first one was by manipulating Hei Ming into tending to his affairs. Given that the creation of the precious Demonic Manipulation Urn was troublesome, Gu Changge didn’t want to waste such a valuable item on a rascal like Hei Ming.

Hence, Gu Changge settled on the alternative approach, seeing how Hei Ming’s mind was so easily disrupted by his words. Naturally if Hei Ming prove himself useful in the future, Gu Changge wouldn’t mind using the Demonic Manipulation Urn on him.

“Enter the door and you shall rise, reincarnate upon the afterlife…” Gu Changge then enunciated. His voice carried the aura of the gods yet with an underlying, dense demonic nature.

No matter how unrelenting Hei Ming’s will was, he wouldn’t be able to resist such temptation. Power and influence were things he had been pursuing his entire life after all.

*Whoosh!* While he was left stunned, a surreal door spawned before his very eyes. It was glowing radiantly, surrounded by endless mystic anomalies.

“T-This is…” When he came to his senses, he jumped in joy, and without any hesitation, he walked directly into the door.

“Wow…” Having entered the door, the astonishing sceneries that entered his vision left him in awe as he let out a gasp. What he saw was something he could not even dream of. An intimidating, extravagant palace stood among the clouds, in which its pillar seemed to have the power to destroy all lives. Seeing as he was standing above an ocean of clouds, he felt the dense, terrifying aura that could suppress all living beings. For some reason, such a sensation felt familiar to him. Dumbfounded, he stood still on the ground as he was at loss for words.

At that moment, Hei Ming finally saw the peak of the palace, where an ambiguous figure was sitting. On the wheel of reincarnation rested the True Dragon, Celestial Phoenix, White Tiger, Black Tortoise, beings that oversaw the world. Meanwhile, below his feet was the River of Time, flowing as though it was interconnecting every world in the universe.

“Young one, do you wish to become strong?” At that moment, Hei Ming heard the voice and turned to the ambiguous figure. Its eyes were abyssal and knew no end, as if it harboured the energy of all beings. Within those eyes were countless sceneries and disasters as well as the moment of a god’s death. Those were events that had taken place across all timelines.

In that instant, Hei Ming, absolutely thrilled, immediately knelt down and excitedly yelled, “Yes! I wish to become stronger! Honoured to meet you, Senior!” He was determined that the Senior in front of him was an almighty being given how this being shifted him to another plane so effortlessly. The only words that could describe this so-called Senior who possessed unrivaled might, was ‘godly’. Even Celestials were nothing compared to it, and no thoughts were required to know that it was an invincible figure.

Indubitably, in order to create the almighty persona, Gu Changge had to spend a substantial amount of Fatums. Fortunately, since the heaven-like Inner World he created coincidentally came in handy, he decided to use it to deceive the ignorant fool before him. With such visual effects in the Inner World, Hei Ming would only grow gullible to his schemes.

“Rise. I know everything about you.” Accordingly, Gu Changge stated with a subtly entertained tone.

Fabricated through the power of rules, the Inner World harnessed the atmosphere of ancient times as well as the River of Time, which took Hei Ming’s breath away. His legs were trembling, having a hard time maintaining his balance. He seemed as insignificant as a bug standing before such an almighty being, and no reason in the world should grant him the permission to lay his eyes on such an omnipotent being.

“Master—” Hei Ming spoke with his shaking voice as he was about to express his desire to become Gu Changge’s disciple and his wish to become stronger.

However, he was interrupted by Gu Changge’s emotionless, icy voice. “I know everything about you.”

“My conscience has it that you’re a Direct Disciple of the Black Hawk Family. Your parents…” Accordingly, Gu Changge disclosed everything he knew about Hei Ming and expressed his opinion on Hei Ming’s state of mind.

Hearing that, Hei Ming was instantly taken aback. Gasping, he was shocked to his bone given how the ‘Master’ already knew everything about him on their first encounter. He dared not to question whether the ‘Master’ investigated him. Besides, there was nothing about him, the useless rascal, which was worth investigating. Therefore, he started to believe that the ‘Master’ was omniscient.

“Dear Master, please show me the path to unparalleled strength…” Followingly, Hei Ming eagerly pleaded for Gu Changge’s guidance, hoping to be accepted by the mysterious, daunting ‘Master’ as a disciple.

“I am the otherworldly, absolute creator of existence…” Gu Changge spouted some nonsensical lie, claiming to be some sort of almighty character. [Well, the longer the name is, the more daunting it sounds, right?]

Of course, the lie was, in fact, filled with flaws and was susceptible to all kinds of scrutiny. After all, no godly being would ever explain themselves to a nobody, giving such a magnificent introduction about themselves while they were at it. Nevertheless, in order to match Hei Ming’s fantasies, he didn’t mind pulling off such a lowly trick.

“Become my worshipper. Speak my name and live an eternal life, for the destruction of the universe forbids no true believer from dwelling within the River of Time…” Then, Gu Changge spoke with an alluring expression, with quite engaging acting.

[Speak his name and live an eternal life…] Hei Ming was obviously dazed as he was about to go insane. He was so blown away nothing could surprise him any more.

[Even celestials wouldn’t dare to speak of an eternal life, but all I have to do is become Master’s follower and I’ll live forever? How frightening, how amazing!] His heart was overwhelmed by all sorts of emotions as he subconsciously got on his knees.

“I pledge my allegiance to you, Absolute Being!” At that moment, ‘Master’ was somehow promoted to ‘Absolute Being.’ Essentially, all Hei Ming had now was his worthless life, and never once did he doubt the intentions of the Absolute Being. In that instant, all he needed to do was surrender himself.

“Worship me, and attain what I possess!” Seeing as it was about time, Gu Changge finally revealed his ultimate goal.

*Whoosh!* As he was speaking, he lifted his hand before an ambiguous light surged in front of him. The light gradually grew more blinding as though it was a heavenly artifact.

Immediately, Hei Ming grew even more exhilarated; his face reddened as his body violently trembled. “Thank you, Absolute Being! I offer to you all I have!”

With his quivering hands, he accepted the ambiguous light. All of a sudden, golden, ancient runes resembling twinkling stars appeared out of thin air and were imprinted onto Hei Ming’s conscience. Gargantuan words with the size of the seas appeared, ‘Entanglement Immortal Spell’.

Watching how Hei Ming was getting as thrilled as a psychopath, Gu Changge retained his composure though he was growing more fascinated.

As a matter of fact, the Entwinement Immortal Spell, also known as Entanglement Immortal Might, was not a Spell on its own, but a hidden Spell to be subservient to Nommening. Basically, its function was to turn someone else into the caster’s puppet. Gu Changge, as the original caster, would send forth a string that would then be dispersed through his ‘puppets’. His ‘puppets’ would then be the ‘casters’ who used the Entanglement Immortal Spell, who would send forth even more strings, eventually forming a cobweb-like formation, all while Gu Changge was in full control of all puppets and their branches.

And now that Hei Ming became one of his puppets, Gu Changge believed that, with the former’s ambition, he would sooner or later discover the power and terror of Entanglement Immortal Spell. Once his ambition expands, it would prove difficult to withdraw it. This was something Gu Changge hopes Hei Ming would embrace.

Just as how a single ember could grow into a hell of fire, if this plan of his succeeded, it wouldn’t take long before he eventually conquers all of the Five Greatest Celestial Ancient Races. After all, compared to the legacy of the Ancient Reincarnation Supreme Being, controlling the Five Greatest Celestial Ancient Races wasn’t in any way inferior.

Silavin: Five Greatest Celestial Ancient Race – guess this is their official term. Celestial Ancient Race.
