Meanwhile, within a region outside the Black Hawk Residence, Gu Changge was absorbing the essence from corpses that belonged to beings in the Sacred Realm in an isolated land. All of a sudden, his ears twitched as he heard people approaching, even mentioning his name in their conversation.

*Whoosh!* With one step, he suddenly appeared and effortlessly suppressed the youths that were in discussion.

“M-Mercy please…” Their faces were full of terror and shock, as though they were about to piss their pants.

Having no intention to talk, he immediately used Soul Search. Swiftly, from their conscience, he obtained information that he wished to get his hands on. As of late, he had been living as though he was in hiding, so he was rather oblivious to the recent happenings in the rest of the continent.

[Long Teng, the Successor of the True Dragon Clan, wishes to challenge me?] He tensed his brows in confusion.

[I’ve never even met this Long Teng guy before. Why is he interested in me out of nowhere? And he wishes to slaughter me and seize everything I have?]

Gu Changge realised that it was yet another dimwit coming after him. Soon, upon analysing information about Long Teng in their souls, he came to a conclusion.

[So it’s because of Yue Mingkong. My dear sister did it once, and now it’s her turn, huh? Have I been too kind to them? Why are they giving me so much trouble?]

[Anyway, Long Teng must be sick in the head. Even a True Dragon won’t be this smug, yet its mere so called avatar speaks of stripping everything away from me? Well, yet another self-sacrificing crop who is delivering himself to me…]

Gu Changge intuitively snickered at the unimportant matter as he now knew the goal of Long Teng. [Long Teng must have gotten his heart stolen by Yue Mingkong so he now intends to take her away from me. She may have her flaws, but her appearance is definitely not one of them. Or else, I wouldn’t have her by his side for so long. In fact, any man that lays their eyes upon her will only find themselves captivated. That groin-for-a-brain Long Teng is no exception.]

[At the end of the day, regardless of era or location, looks do matter. If Yue Mingkong was born ugly, I wouldn’t have gone through such lengths to indulge her. Instead, I’ll suck her worth dry and leave her once I am done. Sure, I don’t think with my lower half, but that doesn’t mean pretty faces don’t attract me. Besides, I’ve been quite a gentleman to Yue Mingkong, haven’t I? If it were any other woman, I’d rather be single. But to know that she has stabbed me in the back…] Pondering, Gu Changge squinted his eyes.

[Well, nevermind. She’s been performing quite well, so I’ll let this one slide. Long Teng, on the other hand…] Thinking of it, Gu Changge almost burst out laughing. [I’ve always been the one to steal, but oh, Long Teng, aren’t you such a courageous man! Jeez, I must have been hiding for too long and now others are starting to walk all over me.]

With that, he softly shut his eyes. As he used the Entanglement Immortal Might, he could see the scenery around Hei Ming in the Black Hawk Family. He checked on Hei Ming’s progress. At the same time, he wondered, [Perhaps I should go deal with that annoying fool Long Teng when I have the time.]

Within the territory of the Black Hawk Family, there was a dimly lit courtyard at the top of a mountain. At that moment, Hei Ming was spreading his wings, emitted a bright yet gloomy light.

While he was training, zeal filled his eyes as he muttered, “I’ve only planted the Entanglement on three people, yet, I’ve already benefited me by so much. Even when I train by myself, my progress has grown much faster than it used to be. This Spell is too overpowered. Very soon, I’ll surpass all and eventually become an unrivalled being!”

He was immensely excited as he had experienced the terrifying strength of the Entanglement Immortal Spell. Having passed on the Entanglement part of the Spell to only three followers, he woke up the next day to find that his Talents got greatly enhanced. Even while his cultivation broke through a Minor Realm.

At this rate, it wouldn’t take long for him to further heighten his cultivation and break through to the Mighty-Transcendent Realm, and perhaps even higher Realm such as the Honoured Nobility Realm and the Honoured Lord Realm. In fact, he might even surpass his sister and become the strongest cultivator among the younger generation. As those goals were no longer an issue, Hei Ming’s ambition grew even more intense.

*Knock! Knock!* All of a sudden, the door of the courtyard was knocked upon. Covered in glows, Hei Ming hastily withdrew his powers as he dashed to the doors with a gleeful face.

“You’re finally here, Yanyu!” He said.

The young woman outside the courtyard was Hei Ming’s sister, but she seemed to be in her late teenage years. Dressed in white, she was surrounded by subtle, wafting mist, and her features were of utmost elegance. Her hair, ornamented by exquisite hair sticks, was as lustrous as the clouds. She donned a robe decorated with paintings of heavenly sceneries and her appearance resembled the God of Beauty herself.

This was the female prodigy of the Black Hawk Family, Hei Yanyu, who had attained daunting power.

“What’s the matter, Hei Ming?” Hei Yanyu softly asked. She bore no notable emotion for her good-for-nothing brother. However, since they were maternal siblings, she would still feign concern for him to prevent him from being  bullied by others.

Unfortunately, Hei Ming must have been cursed with mediocre Talents. Despite years of time alongside abundant resources, he hardly showed any improvement. Having been left with no choice, Hei Yanyu decided to forget about his future prospects and allowed him to act as a spoiled brat. However, earlier, Hei Ming claimed to have a matter to discuss with her, so she decided to make some time to meet him.

“Hurry up, Yanyu. I’ve got an important secret to tell you!” Hei Ming’s face was stern. After glancing at the surroundings and seeing no one else lurking around, he finally calmed down.

According to the archives, the Entanglement part of the Entanglement Immortal Spell posed no danger to cultivators in any way. Nevertheless, the information about it was rather deep as it involved many mystical elements. Thus, he decided to pass it on to her sister, seeing that it was a win-win situation for the both of them.

Hearing that, Hei Yanyu was visibly baffled as she followed Hei Ming into the courtyard, asking, “What is it, Hei Ming? Did you cause trouble again?”

Intuitively, she asked if he caused trouble again and needed her to resolve it.

“No, it’s nothing like that. In fact, I’ve something good to show you!” Obviously thrilled, Hei Ming pulled out a hand-written duplicate of the spellbook for the Entanglement part of the Entanglement Immortal Spell from his clothes and came up with an excuse, claiming that he came across this book by chance.

“What is this? An ancient spellbook?” Hei Yanyu revealed a questioning expression. She was rather doubtful initially but upon taking a couple more looks, she couldn’t take her eyes away as they were filled with astonishment.

“What a deep spellbook! You’re so lucky…” She was moved. Delight and surprise were written all over her face. And at the same time, she felt satisfied that her kindness to Hei Ming didn’t go in vain, seeing how she was the first person he sought upon discovering such a mysterious spellbook.

“Why don’t you give it a try, Yanyu? If you find it useful, you may even share it with Father and the rest of the Elders…” Hei Ming suggested with a calm look as he was forcibly containing the thrill in his heart, trying not to reveal any odd behaviour.

“How kind of you, Ming! Despite how the family has treated you, they were the first one you think of when you found this spellbook…” In that instant, Hei Yanyu grew somewhat sentimental as she looked at Hei Ming with her tender eyes. Indeed, her brother’s action today indeed left a noteworthy impression in her mind.

“Well, you know. I’m a good-for-nothing. Having the spellbook by my side would only be a waste, so I figured sharing it with the family could contribute to the growth of our power. That way, at least I could contribute as an heir of the family.” Hei Ming claimed with a natural smile that bore underlying sarcasm.

Seeing that, Hei Yanyu grew silent before heaving a sigh. “Times have been hard on you, but worry no longer, Ming. I shall pass this on to Father and Grandfather. You shall be rewarded handsomely for your contribution.”

“I am glad to hear that.” Hearing that, Hei Ming nodded with a joyful, satisfied look.

The two soon started chatting about something else, whereby Hei Yanyu expressed her concern for Hei Ming.

Finished, she eventually left the courtyard and intended to look for the Elders to hold a discussion.

Essentially, matters pertaining to the overall strength of the family should not be overlooked as her instincts told her that this spellbook might be related to the Celestials, and thus, she was eager to bring it up.

“I’ve done it…” Watching as Hei Yanyu departed, Hei Ming, who remained in the courtyard, finally burst out, celebrating in exhilaration with ecstasy all over his face. Even his body was trembling from joy. All he had to do was pass the spellbook to the family through his sister. The family members who agreed to learn the Spell would be Entangled to him. Knowing that, Hei Ming couldn’t help but reveal an ecstatic grin.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without the Absolute Being!” He expressed his gratitude and his respect for the Absolute Being, whom he only met once, grew.

Meanwhile, kilometres away, Gu Changge was watching over how everything unfolded. His smile was certainly uncanny.

[What magnificent acting! Perhaps worthless rascals could prove useful at times. To think that Hei Ming bears such tremendous ambition. I am honestly impressed.] Contented, Gu Changge was in glee.

[That is a pleasant surprise. Hei Ming is giving everything he has. At the end of the day, I am the caster of Entanglement Immortal Might, while Hei Ming is only one of my puppets. And once he spreads the Entanglement even wider, those who are Entangled will have their lives under my grasp! Well, it is a fact that the Entanglement poses no danger or risks nor would it affect those that learn it. Instead, it possesses ambiguous knowledge and the true meaning of cultivation, which makes it the perfect bait. However, the Entanglement simultaneously controls their lives. At my will, I could instantaneously dispel the Entanglement and the Entangled one would immediately die. Ah, aren’t I one good strategist? Once the elders of Black Hawk Family are Entangled, I will finally show myself. By then, the outcome will definitely be more fruitful than robbing graves!] Gu Changge revealed a grin. Nevertheless, as the process required some more time, he got up and left. He was headed to Long Teng to cause some mischief.

In the meantime, words regarding Long Teng’s return speedily dispersed among the Celestial Ancient Races across the Celestial Ancient Continent, causing a huge disturbance. Unknown to the cultivators of the outside world, among the Celestial Ancient Races, Long Teng was considered as the physical embodiment and symbol of the strongest cultivator.

As a matter of fact, even the young prodigies that were ranked in the top ten, had to bow down in tremendous fear to Long Teng. They knew that they were all inferior to him. Now that Long Teng was on the move, every native across the continent were dumbfounded. Even the older ones were stupefied.

“Master Long Teng, has declared that he shall subdue the foreign cultivator that goes by Gu Changge and swore to strip the outsider of all his possessions!” Among the natives of the continent, such words were spread, which left young prodigies of the outside world thoroughly stunned.

Those of Celestial Ancient Continent bore limited knowledge regarding Gu Changge, but to those of the outside world, they knew Gu Changge’s power as the Walking Taboo. It was even appropriate for him to be the leader of all the young prodigies from the outside world that had ventured into the Celestial Ancient Continent.

“Long Teng? Which degenerate scum is that? Declaring to kill Gu Changge? What an awful joke!” At once, young prodigies within the continent mocked.

“Haha! I’m going to die laughing! I wouldn’t have been surprised if he’s aiming for any other  young prodigy, but he’s actually targeting Gu Changge? Talk about ignorance!”

“Insane, he’s simply a madman! There’s always an ‘almighty one’ who ends up getting their arse handed to them. Now, we shall see how this idiot, Long Teng, accepts his spanking.”

Upon hearing the news, all young prodigies burst out in laughter, even producing tears of joy.

No words could describe the magnitude of the Inner Domain of the Beyond. Even ‘astronomical’ would be an understatement. Thus, how could the Walking Taboo, who was also referred to as the Avatar of a True Immortal, someone who could constantly instil fear across the entire Inner Domain, be challenged by some nobody?

In the outsiders’ eyes, the young man called Long Teng was nothing but a harmless jester. After all, every battle Gu Changge has been in, always ended up in terrorizing bloodshed. As a matter of fact, just a short while ago, the Seventh Princess of the Sea Palace, who possessed the might of an immortal, was effortlessly subdued by Gu Changge. No one could deny the truth of such an incident.

Nevertheless, the most important fact was that Gu Changge was an outsider, not a native. As such, it was only natural that the natives looked down on him. The Indegeious People of the Celestial Ancient Continent was unquestionably formidable. However, they were only able to achieve such strength solely thanks to the opportunities and environment they were blessed with.

[Brother Changge indeed harbours immeasurable strength, but Long Teng, on the other hand, is said to be a somewhat bothersome individual. There’s no telling how much power he could force out of Brother Changge…] Between two towering mountains, upon slaughtering a terrifying python in one blow and subsequently obtaining a strange flower, Ye Langtian muttered as he shook his head. He wasn’t particularly interested in the news. Simply, because even he could not fathom Gu Changge’s might.

In his eyes, Long Teng, whose name causes the entire Celestial Ancient Continent to tremble, didn’t seem intimidating. In fact, Ye Langtian’s perception of a truly formidable being was one whose power could be sensed but its depth remained an enigma, which was how he felt towards Gu Changge.

[Perhaps I should go and watch if they end up fighting. I’d be thrilled just to catch a glimpse of Brother Gu’s power.] Having that in mind, Ye Langtian changed the direction he was heading, as he hoped the two would encounter each other soon.

Although such a scenario was nothing out of the ordinary in various regions of the continent, young prodigies from the outside world couldn’t help but be dazed. While Long Teng’s strength was his vigorous cultivation level and Talents, Gu Changge’s strength was his spine-chilling, mind-scarring unpredictableness. Regardless of their identity, none of them dare to belittle Gu Changge, and were even tacit enough to retreat when they bump into him.

Still, Long Teng’s declaration, their eyes immediately twinkled.

“That moron doesn’t even know about Gu Changge yet still dares to say such things. But isn’t this perfect? He’s done something none of us would ever dared to. Ah, I wonder what is the true power of Gu Changge, the Walking Taboo?” A young prodigy mumbled to himself. Despite having the intention to challenge Gu Changge, he did not have confidence to actualize it, hence he could only wait until this very moment.

*Boom!* In front of a jade-like lake, godly beams entwined as heavenly lights shone, where a flowery plant glistened delicately, growing along with its fruits. There, a world-shocking war broke out as cultivators were fighting for the fairy plant. Participants of the war comprised young prodigies from the outside world and those young prodigies from the Celestial Ancient Continent.

In the air, Yue Mingkong, with her robe swaying along the winds, was surrounded by innumerable enemies. She waved her snowy arm and drew her delicate fingers. Immediately, a dense atmosphere surged to the sky. It was as if she was an all-powerful emperor that conquered the whole world all by herself. As she casted a frightening Spell, an enormous rainstorm formed and engulfed the entire region, forcing her enemies to retreat.

Swiftly, she dashed above the lake and acquired the fairy plant.

“Celestial Spirit Fruits full of energy of the Celestial Spirits…” Yue Mingkong nodded as she effortlessly picked the fruits of the fairy flower, which she believed could help her quickly ascend to the Partial-Enlightened Realm, and also attain the foundation that the Celestials had with ease.

“Princess Mingkong, Long Teng of the True Dragon Clan has declared that…” As Yue Mingkong was about to leave and look for a place to hide, a follower of hers suddenly approached her and told her about the news.

Hearing it, Yue Mingkong seems rather unaffected. Shortly after, her eyes twitched and she countered, “Do you know where Changge is right now?”

In her previous life, she never made it to the Celestial Ancient Continent, so she didn’t have the chance to meet Long Teng. Therefore, every information regarding the opportunities and treasures in the continent was gathered from rumours she heard before she regressed. Back then, Long Teng didn’t have any feud with Gu Changge, which she believed was the result of Gu Changge minding his own grand plan and choosing to ignore Long Teng.

Nonetheless, in this life, Long Teng was so arrogant that he even declared that he would take her away from Gu Changge. Judging by Gu Changge’s personality, there was no way he would let Long Teng off easily. After all, the Long Teng’s declaration only happened after she deliberately manipulated that woman of the True Dragon Clan by mentioning Gu Changge’s name. In fact, to her, this was merely a mischievous prank she pulled on Gu Changge.

[Serves him right for teasing me all the time!]  Naturally, such an insignificant setback could not affect Gu Changge in any way.

Essentially, no matter how formidable Long Teng was, there was no way he could beat Gu Changge. Him going up against the latter only meant one thing, death. Yue Mingkong had no second thoughts about it.

[The bigger the arse, the heavier the spank!] She had the same thoughts as other outside young prodigies, that Long Teng was nothing but a complacent, boastful, shallow fool.

Right now, her main concern was to know Gu Changge’s current whereabouts. It had been quite a while since the man showed himself.

“I’m sorry, Princess, but none of us knows where Young Master Changge has been to recently…”

Having heard the answer from her followers, Yue Mingkong didn’t seem to be surprised. After all, he wouldn’t be Gu Changge if he could be tracked down so easily.

[Given his intellect, he’ll easily figure out that Long Teng was my doing. That it was me who pushed him to be the centre of attention.] Yue Mingkong thought that it was best that she hid from Gu Changge for now. She did feel somewhat guilty. Since Gu Changge was obviously trying to grow stronger in secret, her action was a virtual smack to his face. Knowing him, she was certain that he would come after her for payback.

It’s more like the bigger the ego, the greater the hit. The translator is playing with the word arse and spank.
