“Are you still reluctant to ask your Prime Ancestor to appear?” Gu Changge shook his head in disappointment. He did not understand Lin Qinglong’s refusal in asking his Ancestor to show up. [It might have been an order from the Prime Ancestor. To give him enough time even if everyone had to die. Though, for this guy, it isn’t wise to fight to the death in this kind of situation in the first place.]

“As long as my Father isn’t dead, the Lin Clan will not go extinct. Everything you do will be in vain,” Lin Qinglong bellowed savagely from the sky above.

His injuries were severe and he was covered in blood while coughing it out as well. A sword had nearly cut him in half.

Ni Shang hovered directly in front of him. Her sword was glimmering while containing a murderous aura. Even so,  Lin Qinglong still held on stubbornly, exhausting his Life Force to fuel his strength to fend them off.

It was undeniable that his abilities as a True Daoist far exceeded many in the same realm and should not be underestimated. However, the True Daoists he faced were all terrifyingly formidable. Mighty Principles filled the air as they wielded their abilities, seemingly able to destroy everything. The fact Lin Qinglong had remained standing for so long proved his strength. However, his power would run out eventually.

*Boom!*

In the next moment, Principles swept the land like a powerful tide as many supreme experts made their strongest attack. Their abilities transformed into heavenly blades, spears and swords which simultaneously headed towards Lin Qinglong. Blinding light filled the air as the universe exploded instantly into ruins, expelling Chaos Qi which drowned out the surrounding stars.

Lin Qinglong’s weapon broke into glowing pieces upon impact before he was struck by the immense force. His body immediately flew apart, bone shards filling the air before everything fell quiet again.

“Ancestor Qinglong has died…”

“How is that possible? Ancestor Qinglong is the second most powerful expert. He is only behind Prime Ancestor…”

Those from the Lin Clan, who were still fighting shivered in fear, finally losing all hope after witnessing this. To them, Lin Qinglong was a figure comparable to the Prime Ancestor and was his most favoured descendant, besides being the second most powerful expert. How could they have any hope when even he was gone?

“Why isn’t Prime Ancestor not showing himself?”

“Has he abandoned us? That’s impossible! He would never do that! But then, why hasn’t he appeared after seeing us being massacred like dogs?”

Many from the Lin Clan were moaning, kneeling towards the centre of their new home, praying for their Prime Ancestor would show up. However, it remained deathly silent in response to their pleading, which made them more lost and forlorn.

“It seems that your lives are worth nothing to your Prime Ancestor. As long as he doesn’t die, the Lin Clan will not go extinct. However, it’s a pity that you are all here to just serve as a distraction.” Gu Changge dropped down from the sky, shaking his head while looking sympathetic. The Bone Ancestor, Ni Shang, and the others followed him, causing a surge of aura which made those from the Lin Clan prostrate themselves.

They could feel their skin splitting from the aura alone.

There hadn’t been any surprises regarding this battle, since the most powerful experts or even the size of the army from both sides were vastly different. The entire star system had gone down since most stars with vitality had been blown to pieces, with all the pavilions and buildings having been annihilated.

The Lin Clan watched Gu Changge and his group with hateful gazes as they walked past, but the situation did not last long as the Gu Family soldiers soon arrived and took them as prisoners.

“Lin Wu, where are you going instead of protecting your clan?” Gu Changge said meaningfully, gaze landing on a collapsed mountain. A figure was there, carefully concealing his aura as he prepared to leave in secret.

Lin Wu froze in alarm as he didn’t think that the other man had always been keeping track of him. However, he no longer felt the need to hide when he had already been discovered and walked out from the mountain, eyes filled with hatred and fury as he looked at Gu Changge.

“Gu Changge, you shameless, lying bastard. You will get your just deserts for all the evil you have committed.” He gritted his teeth.

He had already made preparations to flee when the Gu Family Army had arrived, but the fluctuations emitted by the True Daoists fighting in the sky was too destructive. Thus, he could only conceal himself in fear of being affected. Besides, several Lin Clan members were searching for him so they could inflict their hate and rage on him.

He now had no friends nor allies and no longer had any value after being used by Gu Changge. He only had an intense desire to crush Gu Changge into powder.

“I’ve already gotten tired of all these threats. Why don’t you just take the opportunity to say your final words? I might be generous enough to listen to all of it.” Gu Changge shook his head and smiled condescendingly.

A red light appeared within his palm, condensing into a red-coloured spear which instantly crossed the void with an otherworldly sound. It went through a pale and desperate-looking Lin Wu, which caused him to explode into a great cloud of blood.

Lin Wu’s eyes were wide and helpless, not expecting Gu Changge to immediately end his life without giving him any chance to speak.

*Buzz!*

Immediately after Lin Wu died, Gu Changge raised his eyebrows slightly and rolled up his sleeve to retrieve the Heavenly Gift Treasure Chest which was only visible to him. [This was the only thing of value left of him. But, it is less important than the task at hand.]

“Are you still hiding even when your son is dead? You must be in at a critical juncture, such that you cannot get away.”

After getting rid of Lin Wu, Gu Changge looked into the depths of this place with an inquisitive look. He then stretched out a hand, eliciting a terrifying wave of energy strong enough to blast everything apart. It was like a Great Millstone that could destroy the world was about to drop down on the spot he was speaking towards.

The ground and surrounding mountains cracked under the pressure, expelling clouds of dust as a great crevice appeared and spread out for kilometres.

*Boom!* Suddenly, light shot out into the sky as an ancient altar appeared within the crevice.

Cracks appeared on what seemed like glass around the sky before shattering; it was clear that the Prime Ancestor of the Lin Clan had been hiding in this tiny world that Gu Changge revealed after breaking its arrays apart.

“That aura…is he planning to forcefully break through into the next cultivation realm?” The Bone Ancestor’s gaze lingered, knowing that the figure seated on the altar was the Prime Ancestor of the Lin Clan. [He looks even more formidable than me.]

“I have probably disturbed his plans.” Gu Changge smiled, not surprised by this. His eyes were focused on the calm and chillingly dark sea deep inside the tiny world, formed when black rivers resembling the Spring of Death converged. Principles interweaved inside the deathly quiet waters; it was clear that the atmosphere was very different from the outside world.

Several spirits, probably the souls of cultivators that hadn’t been destroyed, could even be seen wandering the banks of the rivers or floating down from someplace far away. They then transformed into a cloud of glittering dust and moved into the vast sea, which exuded a mysterious aura. An old tree could be seen growing in the centre of the sea, its branches withered yet surrounded by wisps of light.

[This must be the Tree of Epoch. So, it is about to bear fruit.] Gu Changge’s gaze landed on the green fruit hidden among the leaves.

It looked very strange since unique aura fluctuations were being emanated from it while pieces of Time appeared around it. Gu Changge could even see different shards of time, so real as if they were portals he could enter.

The figure seated on the ancient altar finally opened his eyes, rising to his feet which elicited an overwhelming wave of power.

The Prime Ancestor of the Lin Clan had finally appeared.

Being the Blood Dragon War God, his fame and reputation had been unrivalled in the Eight Wastelands and Ten Domains. While he looked very old, he had a strong physique as well as dark shiny hair.

Divine light surrounded him, making him resemble an Immortal War God, with sparks of Chaos swirled around his hands.

He walked from the depths, glancing at the ruins of his clan without any change in his countenance as if it wasn’t his people who had died.

The entire Lin Clan had been destroyed and many of their True Daoists had been killed or captured, yet their Prime Ancestor seemed to be unbothered and behaved like an outsider. His descendants’ bodies were reduced to bloody mist and a pile of bone shards not so far away, yet he didn’t seem to notice.

This surprised many experts from the Gu Family, feeling that this man was far too patient since he had patiently bided his time even during such a horrible disaster. Had it been them, they would never have done such a thing. They couldn’t remain passive after seeing their family members being massacred.

“What a group of losers. They can’t even distract the enemy long enough. What a pity. There’s only a tiny part left but you have disturbed my plans. You deserve to die for that.”

The Prime Ancestor of the Lin Clan was called Lin Zhan. He had a cold demeanour and was clad in shiny armour which glimmered with brilliant swirling runes. However, as he spoke, a ball of light the colour of the sunrise surrounded him. This ball contained traces of Time Principles. His old face quickly restored and rendered him youthful and strong. An intimidating Life Force soon emanated from him, which contained unfathomable power.

“This is vastly different from the simple Peak Restoration Technique.” The Bone Ancestor frowned, not waiting for Gu Changge’s order before he stepped forward and stretched out his hand, which had been concealed within his robes. The bony hand glimmered chillingly, blocking out the sky as it headed towards Lin Zhan.

“Prime Ancestor of the Bone Clan. We have met several times before, but I didn’t expect you to help the enemy without considering the morality of it.” Lin Zhan looked at the Bone Ancestor, his cold gaze intensifying as he stretched out his hand as well. An overpowering aura swept through the world and destroyed several star systems.

He had been waiting for the Fruit of Epoch to ripen but he didn’t have enough time. If Gu Changge hadn’t attacked, he had the huge possibility of breaking the shackles of this world and return to his peak. In other words, return to becoming a True Immortal far above the Nirvana Realm! However, his clan members had all been killed before the opportunity came, including his son, who had died in battle. His expression became frigid, wishing he could tear Gu Changge to pieces.

Gu Changge did not care about the fight between the both of them, since he was somewhat confident in the Bone Ancestor. Of course, he would attack if the Bone Ancestor lost. For now, he was focused on the Tree of Epoch, which was glowing with traces of life. To be exact, it was in the midst of a transformation since many of its branches were dead and withered. However, other parts of it were filled with a powerful and overwhelming Life Force.

The enormous Tree of Epoch lay in the centre of the tiny world, glittering with tiny green lights while being cloaked in Chaos Qi. One of its leaves could hold swathes of stars, showing how majestic it was. The Gu Family entourage could sense an overwhelming world consciousness even before approaching it which could easily crush them. Stars hanging from the rejuvenated branches rotated with a rumbling sound.

Gu Changge blinked and the void blurred as he transformed into a divine rainbow and approached the Tree of Epoch, planning to take it quickly. However, he suddenly sensed a strange vibration from within his Inner Universe.

The World Principles were resonating.  Those from the World Seed he had acquired and those from the Tree of Epoch.

With a loud boom, the Force of the Principle pressed down from the sky, resulting in a violent collision which made the Tree of Epoch shake as if in an earthquake. Many were taken aback as they felt their soul always being swept away.

It was some kind of new and unknown Principles, which seem to have originated from the Upper Realm. Nevertheless, it still seems to be completely new, like it was just birthed.

The light shot out, as though it was the Immortal Flame, as if something was being reborn from death within it, as energy surged towards every direction.

Even Gu Changge’s figure was quivering like a stone in a waterfall.

As his body was quivering, a strange sound came from within him.

It was his Inner Universe echoing in his mind.

The steaming and brilliant force of the Principle swept through the entire world; he could indistinctly see a World Seed landing in the great universe inside of him, using the stars as its soil and Chaos as its sustenance while it began to grow robustly and develop into a World Tree.

As this continued, Gu Changge’s World Tree sapling transformed at an unfathomable rate. At the centre of his Inner Universe, a giant sapling with an unbelievably divine aura stood tall like a pillar supporting the world. A powerful silhouette appeared as well, suppressing everyone to the point of suffocation. They could feel their skin about to split apart as the silhouette prepared to materialise and become part of this world.

*Boom!*

Glimpses of the Inner Universe floated from behind him and hovered over his head, making it appear as if he was carrying it. His unrivalled strength gave the impression that he could easily wave his hand and use the power of the World Tree to destroy his enemies with a swat.

“What’s this…That’s impossible!”

Lin Zhan had been keeping an eye on the Tree of Epoch behind him despite being engaged in a fight with the Bone Ancestor and sensed something wrong when Gu Changge rushed towards it. The scene unfolding before him made him turn pale with shock.

“How dare you be distracted while fighting with me?” The Bone Ancestor snorted coldly, sweeping his enormous hand in a horizontal direction. It landed on Lin Zhan and made him cough blood.

He flew in the opposite direction and nearly broke the world as he landed. Soon, the spot he had landed on became blurry and chaotic, all Principles and aura gone. The fight between the Bone Ancestor and Lin Zhan was something that even normal Nirvana Realm experts would not dare to watch. It went on for a very long time and became messy towards the end.

Gu Changge watched this without doing anything. Instead, he just asked the True Daoists of the Gu Family to help the Bone Ancestor while he focused on the Tree of Epoch.

He used his power to enclose the area in an attempt to completely move it to his Inner Universe.

*Boom!*

In this remote barren land, all could feel an astounding fluctuation above the sky. The stars, the world, heaven itself, shook and shifted, eventually turning to ash.

Angry roars rang out, shocking countless. It was imaginable what kind of war was going on here. Even time itself appeared indistinctly as many unrivalled experts from the past manifested to be blasted apart.

*Boom!*

Growls emanated as Lin Zhan and the Bone Ancestor coughed up blood. Their bodies kept exploding and they were at risk of their own bodies falling apart after returning back to their True Physique.

*Bang!*

Eventually, a long spear swirling with peerless Principles flew in and was used as a staff. Its body shone brilliantly as if made of Divine Gold. A True Daoist from the Gu Family had attacked, looking on coldly as he swept his spear across with an unfathomable force to land on Lin Zhan’s back.

Lin Zhan spat a big mouthful of blood as he was thrown from the impact.

Before he could land, another True Daoist stepped forward, crossing the boundaries of space to stab through him with another spear. Blood spattered out as he was impaled on it.

“ARRRGGGHHHH!” Lin Zhan roared, covered in blood, completely humiliated. He was still losing even if he had returned to his True Physique, plus his Qi was already running out. There were far too many opponents, including the troublesome Bone Ancestor and the other True Daoists.

“I will kill you!” He started to burn up his Source, staring straight at Gu Changge in the distance with hatred. He planned to take the other man with him; burning brighter than the sun, he ran with abandon towards Gu Changge.

“Fighting back without any cause is like a moth heading towards an open flame.” Gu Changge, who had been trying to move the Tree of Epoch, glanced up at Lin Zhan and shook his head, pitying the moth heading towards him.

In the next instant, the overpoweringly heavy World Energy appeared behind him. The silhouette of the World Tree manifested, which he twirled in his hand before sweeping it straight downwards.

*Bang!*

Infinite amounts of Chaos Qi shot into the air, causing an explosion.

Clouds of blood filled the air and spread everywhere.
