The corner of her eyes seemed to be glistening with tears, but her despair quickly disappeared as there was only coldness when she reopened them. Her voice was calm, and so was her heart. Her heart that had been aching for half a year had gotten used to the pain.
Yue Mingkong had no idea why she returned to three thousand years ago. Six months had already passed since her reincarnation. Yet, she was constantly fantasizing about the day of her marriage with Gu Changge. She could hear the cheering from each corner of the world and feel heavenly light shone on them in a mesmerizing scenery. She was in her wedding outfit—a phoenix crown and a ceremonial robe as bashfulness surged in her face while Gu Changge was so dashing that none could rival his appearance. On their wedding night, she gently raised the wine glass and he would get drunk.

She thought that after doing so much for him, she could finally have a happy ending.

Imagining the scene of their fight, Yue Mingkong heaved a sigh. At the end of the day, she still loved him deeply. Even after her revival, she was still too soft and kind.

After traveling from the ancient palace to the border of the Beyond and going through numerous teleportations, Gu Changge and the rest finally arrived at the gates of the Immortal Gu Family Residence, where a crowd of disciples of the Gu Family was respectfully awaiting.
Gu Changge nodded his head.
Before his eyes were countless Godly Islands and Mystic Mountains floating in the sky covered in radiant mist and emitting heavenly lights that beaconed through the sky. They were shielded by a terrifying, shining barrier that resembled sunlight. Though, such an aura was nothing out of the ordinary. If it was awakened, even cultivators of Enlightened King Realm would be prevented from entering.
“So this is what an Immortal Family looks like…” Lin Qiuhan and Su Qingge felt a ring in their heads. They were about to get numb from the ringing on their way to the Beyond, and after they saw such a grand scenery, maintaining their composure became even harder. What they saw couldn’t be described as a race’s land as it was as monumental as an entire world.
“Let’s go,” Gu Changge stated, intending to show Lin Qiuhan and Su Qingge around, especially the former, whom he intended to send to the Guild of Alchemy. Although she wouldn’t be mistreated by anyone thanks to his identity, he couldn’t afford to take any risks. After all, Lin Qiuhan, as a being of the Overworld, was nothing but a punching bag to the beings in the Beyond.
“Ming Lao, arrange their accomodation,” Gu Changge instructed Ming Lao.
Most importantly, due to the strict rules of the Gu Family, their territory was split into Inner Island and Outer Island, and where they were now was only the latter. Since only direct family members were allowed to live on the Inner Island, Lin Qiuhan and Su Qingge wouldn’t be allowed to enter before their identities were verified.
Finished, Gu Changge summoned a beam of light and walked onto it. Since the matter at hand was rather urgent, he had to return home and pass on some information to his father as he wasn’t the only person in on his plans. Essentially, his father was also involved in them.
“Young Master Gu is headed to the Inner Island. This old one shall bring the two of you to get familiar with the Gu Family’s rules, so you won’t embarrass him. Besides, since you’ve met the people of the Immortal Gu Family, you shan’t do anything reckless from now on.”
After Gu Changge left, Ming Lao spoke to Su Qingge and Lin Qiuhan as he led them through the intertwining Godly Islands and Mystic Mountains.

Hearing that, Ming Lao was somewhat dazed as he quickly replied, “From now on, do not refer to me as ‘Prime Ancestor’ in the Gu Family Residence. Just keep it in your mind.”
Regardless, now that Lin Qiuhan earned Gu Changge’s respect, if her relationship with him were to develop, and the Gu Family, who perceived social classes sternly, were to find out that Ming Lao was her ancestor, the old servant would surely be punished.
Lin Qiuhan was oblivious to such a concept, but since her Prime Ancestor had said so, she would naturally obey him. Though, she couldn’t help but heave a sigh in her heart as she was extremely afraid of Gu Changge’s family.

In her eyes, all she could see was a grand sight including palaces on Godly Islands that levitated in the air, the twinkling stars, and the ambiguous clouds. The mystical fogs resembled clouds and the fountains flowed like ice while ancient beasts with daunting aura were wandering through the mountains. Moreover, the wafting spiritual energy was so dense as though it was going to condense into liquid.
Indubitably, Ming Lao wasn’t at all surprised by her reaction. Thousands of years ago, when he first saw such a scenery, he was as stupefied as her. It was his first time taking a glimpse at such a breathtaking view of the Gu Family Residence. Comparing that to the clans and Sects in the Overworld would be equivalent to comparing paradise to a dog’s den.
As thoughts crossed his mind, Ming Lao smilingly said, “This is only the Outer Island. It’s nothing compared to the Inner Island. The island Young Master Gu lives in is where the real magic takes place. I don’t even have the right to enter, so for you…”
As he was speaking, admiration surged in his mind.
In the meantime, Gu Changge took the teleportation array and traveled to the Inner Island from the Outer Island. Before him was an extravagant palace where a rift suddenly appeared.
“Changge is back?” A tender voice of a middle-aged man was heard.
