She had a gentle smile, waiting for his reply.
Chen Changan sighed, [You only see women like this in fantasy, never on Earth.]
It was his first time seeing such a perfect woman. Chen Changan cupped his hands.
“The Python wanted to kill me, tying the both of us in karma. I have to take it down so that the cycle of karma is complete and returns to being nil.”
The woman blinked as she considered. “I’m amazed a mortal would have such a deep perspective.”
She gave him a curious look. She met her fair share of cultivators, looking at her like wolves, in shame, or fear of being inferior. None were like this cultivationless youth, however, who regarded her without malice; like equals.
What was more, she felt a faint Immortal aura from him.
She had been passing by when she caught her eye. Even she was baffled why she got up and intervened to save him.
Chen Changan was grateful, “I thank you, fellow Daoist, for saving me from that Python.”
The woman smiled, “Calling me that despite not being a cultivator? I never saw someone like you. It was no trouble for me and I don’t need thanks.”
The red string in her hand vanished in a red glow. “Myriad Mountains is teeming with Demons. It’s not a place for Mortals to wander. You were lucky that it was only a Minor Demon.”
Chen Changan sighed.
“Yes, Myriad Mountains is a dangerous place.” [I made the right choice staying a month in the Immortal Temple.]
“Would you like me to take you outside Myriad Mountains?” The woman offered.
“No need.” He didn’t care what happened to the Avatar, only finding dying from the Python a bit unsightly.
The woman was even more curious about him.
Chen Changan felt the same way about her. “I have a friend called Hong Yi who looks like you. Are you a Heavenly Fox?”
The woman gasped, “You know sister Hong Yi? Yes, I’m from the Heavenly Fox Clan.”
She had an odd look in her eyes. [Hong Yi is a Demon King yet he knows her? He may look like a Mortal, but his demeanor is anything but that. He’s completely wrapped in mystery.]
It filled her with interest to find out who he was.

He was also speculating about her reason for being here. [Is it related to Hong Yi taking Foxy to her clan?]
That was the only logical explanation.
The woman in white said, “I’m Bai Yue, Hong Yi’s elder sister. If you know her, then you also know about Soaring Immortal Mountain.”
“You want to go to Soaring Immortal Mountain?”

Bai Yue smiled, “I forgot to ask, but what is your name, friend?”

Chen Changan scratched his nose. “Call me Hong Xiaobai.”
(Tamon: xiaobai can also mean pretty boy or boy toy. Sounding like Hong’s boy toy in this context.)
“Friend Xiaobai, farewell.” Bai Yue left.
Chen Changan nodded, feeling awkward merely hearing her calling him that.
Bai Yue turned into a white light and flew for Soaring Immortal Mountain.
Chen Changan was conflicted. “Now how am I going to explain it to her after she sees me again?”
He was stumped. [I’ll just cover my face and she won’t know it’s me. Heh, aren’t I the little trickster?]
An eerie aura fell on him just then. The fleeing Python was back behind him. It was hiding, waiting for Bai Yue to leave before pouncing. It had no intention of letting its prey go and swallowed him in one gulp.
The Avatar puffed into mist and was gone, leaving the Python stumped. [What just happened? Where’s my prey?]
Chen Changan raged in his chair. “Accursed Python, you dare blindside me? I’ll get you for this!”
He cooled after his hissy fit, thinking about how to meet Bai Yue.
Using his real face was out of the question.
Chen Changan lit up and thought of the system v3.0’s new Immortal Solution. [Well, isn’t simple?]
He traced his right hand over his face and used Immortal Solution before going to Ling Bao’er, “Bao’er, can you see my face?”
“Master, what is this? I can’t see it.”
Ling Bao’er felt like Chen Changan’s face was shrouded in mist, hiding his features. Not even spiritual sense helped.
Chen Changan smiled. [It works. Immortal Solution is the best prop.]
He used it all over. “Bao’er, what about now?”
Ling Bao’er’s eyes went wide.
“Master, I can’t see you, only the Immortal Mist around you.” His incredible skill left Ling Bao’er amazed at his grandeur.
Chen Changan dispelled Immortal solution and appeared before Ling Bao’er as the Immortal Mist lifted.
“Master, can you tell me how strong you really are?”
Chen Changan pinched her cute cheek, “Very strong.”
“How much is that?”
Chen Changan pondered, “I don’t know either.”
[Absolute means Invincible! An indescribable level of strength!]
Ling Bao’er sulked, “Master, don’t lie. Of course, you know your own strength.”
Bai Yue arrived as they chatted.
