Chen Chang’an was unaware of Ling Bao’er’s thoughts. His eyes sparkled instead for a different reason. As Ling Bao’er’s cultivation got bumped, he got a notice from a system saying he earned 50 domain points. It left him speechless. [This works too?]

<Due to host and Ling Bao’er’s master-disciple relationship, when Ling Bao’er advances, host shall receive domain points as reward. The higher the cultivation, the greater the reward.>

Chen Changan was overjoyed, [I never knew there was such a good thing!]

He would just take on loads of disciples. [With all of them advancing every other moment, my Absolute Domain will quickly grow.]

At dawn, Chen Changan woke up and felt refreshed. “I haven’t slept this well in three years.”

In the quiet temple, the tiger meat was sorted out not far away and Ling Bao’er was curled to the side, sleeping under the tiger pelt.

Chen Chang’an smiled. [None of it was a dream. My Absolute Domain is real. In one night, I not only killed two Golden Core experts, but also got myself a cute disciple.]

Next to him, the foxtail swayed, as if in greeting. It was the weed he awakened last night, dubbing it Foxy.

Chen Changan stretched and got out of bed, though left Ling Bao’er to sleep in.

With his Absolute Domain having gotten from two meters to six meters and the immortal temple being only five meter wide, it meant that his Absolute Domain extended three meters outside.

He went out of the temple, right at the edge of the domain and took in his surroundings.

The boundless mountain range, lush and untainted, the soaring birds, the animal calls…

It was the start of a beautiful day.

A sudden glow flashed in the horizon and landed on Soaring Immortal Mountain.

With a loud boom, the light buried itself in the earth just in front of Chen Changan.

Chen Changan’s eyes widened. It all happened so fast, he never thought it possible.

The loud sound startled Ling Bao’er awake. She rubbed her weary eyes and walked out. “Master, what was that?”

Chen Changan looked at the glow inside the ground. When it faded, a shabby copper sword became visible. “Some copper sword fell from the sky.”

Chen Changan was still shaken up, pale as paper. [Thank heaven I stayed in Absolute Domain. A couple more meters and the copper sword would’ve skewered me! The wild outdoors are filled with dangers.]

“A sword?” Ling Bao’er was now awake.

Her eyes went big as saucers. “Master, isn’t this sword the fallen immortal treasure from last night?”

“What immortal treasure?” Chen Chang’an asked.

“Master doesn’t know?”

“Explain.” Ling Bao’er nodded and recalled last night’s events.

Chen Chang’an clicked his tongue.

A dreadful fist broke the heaven and an immortal sword fell down. He never realized something so huge happened last night in Myriad Mountains. A shame he couldn’t see it from inside the temple.

He was regretting it a little, unaware that this was due to his unrestrained punch he struck that female ghost with.

“Myriad Mountains are filled with mysteries and dangers. There must be many other hidden experts besides you, master.”

Chen Changan taught, “Disciple, you’re absolutely right. While I am strong, there will always be someone above you. You must never be pretentious and learn modesty.”

Within his Absolute Domain, he didn’t have to worry about Ling Bao’er’s safety, but once she ventured outside, she was on her own.

“Master, I’ll be sure to lay low.”

Chen Changan glanced at the shabby copper sword, “Disciple, what kind of immortal treasure is this? It doesn’t look the part at all.”

Ling Bao’er hopped out of the Absolute Domain, reaching the shabby sword.

Chen Changan jumped in fright. “Bao’er, come back!”

On the off chance the shabby sword turned out to be deadly, he couldn’t save her. He just got a disciple yesterday and now, she might go to see the beyond ahead of him.

“What’s wrong, master?” The shabby sword was unresponsive and Ling Bao’er was safe.

Chen Changan sighed, “N-nothing.”

Ling Bao’er grabbed the hilt and waved it around. “Master, this can’t be the immortal treasure from last night. It’s too plain, without an ounce of power in it.”

Chen Changan unclenched. “Let me take a look.”

Ling Bao’er brought the shabby copper sword back to the Absolute Domain, handing it over to Chen Changan.

Ling Bao’er didn’t feel anything special about the worn-out sword, but Chen Changan could. He felt the power it contained, but it was so minute that by using it would render the sword useless.

“Master, how is it?”

Chen Changan used creation. In his hand, the worn copper sword was restored. It became pristine and even started glowing.

“What a pretty sword.” Ling Bao’er gushed with stars in her eyes.

It couldn’t be compared with the previous broken sword. The copper had luster, with sun, moon and stars engravings on one side, and landscape on the other. It was absolutely majestic and sublime. On the hilt there were the characters for sacred immortal engraved. This sword was called Sacred Immortal Sword!

Using creation completely restored Sacred Immortal Sword and its power. Though breaking it would’ve been just as easy for Chen Changan as snapping it like a twig. Which was why the sword was like a decoration to him, and didn’t care about it at all.

[If that’s all immortal treasures amount to, that’s such a letdown.]

“Take it if you want to.” Chen Changan threw the Sacred Immortal Sword to Ling Bao’er.

She held the restored Sacred Immortal Sword with utter joy. “Master is the best. Thank you!”
