Since Zhou Pei had decided to activate a Secret Technique that would affect both parties at this point, she must be confident.

Regardless, she was the one who initiated the Secret Technique, so she had some control over it that allowed her to suffer the least impact and damage.

As the sparks spread, the cultivators of Thousand Demon Ridge who were there to help sensed danger, so they quickly retreated instead of approaching the woman.

Although Zhou Pei was apprehensive while looking at the ferocious man in front of her, her gaze was filled with iciness.

“Explode!” she yelled as the sparks brightened in an instant. At the same time, several mini Suns appeared in the sky.

As the mini Suns rose, a scorching and destructive aura spread across the place until the Void looked contorted. Deafening booms were continuously heard.

“Junior Sister Zhou!” When Chu Yun looked at the bright and chaotic fluctuations of Spiritual Powers, he was worried. But soon, he appeared determined.

Since Zhou Pei had decided to do this, he could only trust her. However, his expression changed drastically the next instant. That was because an aura suddenly died in the hazy and chaotic space. That aura belonged to Zhou Pei, who had spent the longest time with Chu Yun.

On the other hand, another aura that belonged to Lu Ye remained robust.

Chu Yun’s pupils dilated as he was seized by a great sense of sorrow. Although he was unwilling to believe it and didn’t see what had happened, he knew that Zhou Pei was killed.

Certainly, Xia Liang and the others realised what had happened as well, so they were astounded.

The dazzling glow of the mini Suns faded and revealed a vague figure. As they looked at this person, they knew that he was none other than Lu Ye.

He just stood amid the raging flames, looking as indestructible as a mountain. His figure appeared contorted due to the flames, which made him look like a demon.

On the other hand, another figure fell from the sky and landed on the ground. She was none other than Zhou Pei. Her eyes were wide open as though she had seen something inconceivable before her death. Her chest was covered in blood, so it was apparent that a weapon had penetrated her heart.

The moment Chu Yun set his eyes on the woman’s corpse, a red light suddenly shot out of the contorted space towards him.

He immediately came to his senses and saw that the red light was a whip formed from Spiritual Power. The other end of the whip was held by Lu Ye.

[What is this?] Chu Yun was flabbergasted. He instinctively felt that it was the power of a treasure, but it also looked like a spell.

He didn’t have time to ponder. As soon as he felt the whip’s power, he quickly tried to retreat. But the whip struck him and coiled around him like a snake, blinding him to the spot.

Under normal circumstances, a Ninth-Order Master like Chu Yun wouldn’t be so careless. Nevertheless, the death of Zhou Pei had a huge impact on him, and he didn’t expect Lu Ye to be able to use such a strange move. Therefore, he was struck while he was unsuspecting. When he was bound, he felt an immense force coming from the other end of the whip. Regardless of how hard he struggled, he was unable to get rid of it, and he was pulled towards Lu Ye.

What was even more shocking was that the whip didn’t only bind him, but it also suppressed his Spiritual Power, making him powerless to resist.

While he was in a dazed state, Lu Ye’s icy face came into his sight, and a Saber Light flickered the next moment.

The entire world seemed to have fallen silent. Chu Yun stood in front of Lu Ye and looked silently at him.

Xia Liang and Tan Sheng didn’t make a rash move, and they appeared wary.

The other cultivators of Thousand Demon Ridge still hadn’t recovered from the shock of Zhou Pei’s death, so they had no idea what was going on.

It wasn’t until this moment that the power of Prairie Fire Explosion that Zhou Pei had cast before her death subsided, and the contorted space disappeared. Finally, the figures of Lu Ye and Chu Yun were revealed.

“What kind of spell is this?” Chu Yun asked suddenly.

At this point, he confirmed that the red whip that had bound him was a spell, not the power of a treasure.

He had looked at Lu Ye’s information and found out that the latter was a Combat Cultivator who used a saber. Also, not only was he well-versed in the Way of Wards, but he seemed able to use some spells as well.

Nonetheless, nowhere in the information stated that such a spell he had just cast existed. Moreover, as far as Chu Yun was concerned, there wasn’t a strange spell like this in Jiu Zhou.

As the one who was struck by the spell, he understood how powerful it was. Not only could the spell be used to bind an opponent, but it could also be used to kill.

“Divine Whip,” Lu Ye replied unenthusiastically.

The spell didn’t come from the Tree of Glyphs, nor did he learn it from somewhere. Instead, it came from Qin Zhao, who used to kick up a storm in a certain period in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

Before Lu Ye left Soaring Dragon Boundary, he had looked into the World’s Source and found many Stars with varying degrees of brightness. Every Star was a mark that recorded the life of a particular powerful cultivator. The Stars were proof that they once existed in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

Lu Ye had looked into one of the marks and gone through an amazing experience. During the journey, he was attached to Qin Zhao as they were born, joined a Sect, cultivated, escaped from their enemies, rose from the ashes, and destroyed their enemies together.

Although only two days had passed in reality, Lu Ye knew that he had spent longer than that in the dream-like experience.

The most important moments in Qin Zhao’s life had been carved in Lu Ye’s heart, and he could feel everything Qin Zhao felt. It could be said that as he watched Qin Zhao grow in power, he could also receive everything that the latter had learned.

The World’s Source of Soaring Dragon Boundary was a treasure trove that had yet to be explored.

As a Spell Cultivator, Qin Zhao was able to cast a variety of abstruse spells.

Divine Whip was a spell he had invented, and it was also his most powerful move. Therefore, even though Lu Ye had never learned it, he could still use it with ease.

Due to the limitations of his cultivation, he was unable to fully activate the spell’s power, but it was more than enough to be used against cultivators in the same Realm.

People only knew that Lu Ye was well-versed in the Way of Wards, but they were not aware that his mastery of the Way of Spells had surpassed that of everyone in the same Realm. The spells he could use were unrivalled among those that the cultivators in the same Realm could cast.

“You’re incredible.” Chu Yun praised the man. As a Spell Cultivator who had experienced the spell’s power, he could tell that it was an abstruse move. If Lu Ye could fully master it, no one would be able to get rid of the whip when he cast it.

Then, he nodded gently, and it was this movement that made his head fall from his neck. Blood spurted out of his neck, and the incision was smooth.

In fact, Lu Ye had already decapitated him earlier.

All of them were horrified as two Ninth-Order Spell Cultivators were killed just like this.

They didn’t know how Zhou Pei was killed. After the Prairie Fire Explosion was cast, the area turned into chaos as Lu Ye and Zhou Pei were dragged into it.

However, they had seen how Chu Yun was destroyed, which was why they were in disbelief.

Ninth-Order Cloud River Realm was the highest limit on Cloud River Battlefield. People like them could command respect wherever they went, and no one would dare offend them.

Nonetheless, in just a short time earlier, two powerful Ninth-Order Spell Cultivators were killed right before their eyes.

More than ten cultivators in the Seventh Order and Eighth Order had also lost their lives, and it had only been over ten breaths since Lu Ye flared up.

“Eighth-Order Cloud River Realm!” Xia Liang’s pupils dilated as he glanced at Lu Ye, who was hovering in mid-air, in disbelief.

He had speculated that Lu Ye must have obtained an opportunity in the Hidden Realm, so the latter must have spent the past month improving his cultivation in the Divine Trade Association. Therefore, he concluded that Lu Ye had ascended to the Seventh Order. He reckoned that he had even overestimated Lu Ye’s speed of growth in power.

After all, Lu Ye was only a Fifth-Order Master when he entered Hundred Wards Tower, and he ascended to the Sixth Order when he left. It had only been a short time since then, so an ascension to the next Minor Realm must be the limit.

As such, it was inconceivable that the man had actually made it to the Eighth Order. Why were the Heavens in favour of him?

When he was a Fifth-Order Master, he was already able to kill Eighth-Order Masters. He could even destroy Huo Liaoyuan, a Ninth-Order Master, on the Deathmatch Platform.

When he was a Sixth-Order Master, he could escape from four Ninth-Order Masters who had joined forces. At that time, Xia Liang felt that if Lu Ye managed to make it to the Seventh Order, he wouldn’t even be a match for him, and he wouldn’t dare imagine what would happen if Lu Ye ascended to the Eighth Order.

A fairly powerful cultivator could hope to kill an enemy who was one or two Minor Realms above him, and Xia Liang was that kind of cultivator.

However, what Lu Ye could do far surpassed them, and it was horrifying to think that even people like Xia Liang and the other Ninth-Order Masters were no match for him.

With his heritage and cultivation, he could easily destroy ordinary cultivators like the ones before his eyes. The fact that he could kill more than ten people with only a move earlier was the best proof.

It seemed that Xia Liang was right to say that it was their last chance to deal with Lu Ye.

While Xia Liang was shocked, Tan Sheng was equally astounded as his eyelids twitched.

The other cultivators were so horrified that they instinctively retreated to widen the gap between them to find a sense of safety.

On the battlefield, Lu Ye was surrounded by these cultivators, but it looked like his aura had suppressed all of them even though he was on his own.

“So, he’s deliberately lured us to this place.” An astonished Tan Sheng finally realised the crux of the problem.

There was no ambush or any Ward here. Lu Ye had calmly flown to this place to stay further away from the Divine Trade Association so that these people couldn’t flee!

Time for everyone to try splitting up and running. He can’t chase you all down if you go your separate ways and everyone below 9th will probably be ignored as too weak to be a threat and have been far less annoying.
