When people learned of the news, the entire Cloud River Battlefield plunged into an uproar. They either believed or did not believe the tale.

After all, both parties were in the same Realm, and Lu Ye had to deal with over 200 people on his own. Despite the huge difference, he managed to gain victory while those of Thousand Demon Ridge were either injured or killed. This incident was inconceivable.

Also, before this, there was a tale about Lu Ye killing more than 2,000 cultivators of Thousand Demon Ridge in the past.

However, at that time, Lu Ye had made use of a potent poison, which meant that the cultivators were killed by the poison, and it had nothing to do with Lu Ye’s strength, which was unlike what happened this time.

Even though they did not experience it themselves, the notion of one man going against 200 people boiled their blood, not to mention that the people targeted by Lu Ye had either lost their lives or run away.

It could be expected that the repercussions of this incident would linger for a while longer on Cloud River Battlefield, and the news would reach Jiu Zhou. By then, the Sects of Thousand Demon Ridge would be more wary of Lu Ye.

This incident was neither significant nor trivial. After all, the incident was limited to the Cloud River Realm, so the impact was minimal. As time passed, people would push it to the back of their minds and forget about it.

While the world was in a tumult, Lu Ye took Hua Ci, Yi Yi, and Amber to depart from the City of Heavens and head to the periphery of Grand Wilds Peak.

Several months ago, faced with the pressure from cultivators of Thousand Demon Ridge, Lu Ye had no choice but to leave Ameliorate Arcane Glade. At that time, he was only a Fifth-Order Master.

No one could’ve expected that in just a few months, he would return as an Eighth-Order Master. This time, even if word got out, no one would dare find fault with him.

Although many people didn’t believe the outcome of the previous battle, they acknowledged that Lu Ye was formidable. After all, many people had seen Lu Ye killing Xia Liang in front of the City of Heavens, so it was unmistakably the truth.

The battle alone would rank Lu Ye among the strongest Cloud River Realm Masters. Also, he was only an Eighth-Order Master, so he could still make it to the Ninth Order.

It seemed that history was repeating itself. When Lu Ye was on Spirit Creek Battlefield, he was ranked first on the Roll of Supremacy as an Eighth-Order Spirit Creek Realm Master. He was proud and unrivalled. Then, when he was a Ninth-Order Master, he was able to fight the elite-level Spirit Beasts head-on and suppress the major Sects in the Core Circle on his own.

It seemed that something similar was about to happen again. The cultivators of Thousand Demon Ridge were glad that Cloud River Battlefield was different from Spirit Creek Battlefield. There were no Outposts, so regardless of how powerful Lu Ye was, he couldn’t restrict the Sects in any way.

On Grand Wilds Peak, they moved further into the depths without a break and soon arrived at Ameliorate Valley.

A familiar view came into their sight. The Grand Ward had been opened up, and three figures were waiting at the entrance. They were Li Baxian, Feng Yuechan, and Ju Jia, who had already learned of their return.

“Fourth Senior Brother, Senior Sister Feng, Ju Jia, we’re back!” Yi Yi shouted, apparently in a joyful mood.

Li Baxian approached them with a smile and examined Lu Ye. Upon confirming that the man was healthy, he nodded. “You must have suffered a lot, Junior Brother.”

He was conflicted deep within because his Junior Brother was now in the Eighth Order. On the other hand, even though he had been cultivating hard in this Arcane Glade, he was only in the Seventh Order. Not only was he one Order behind Lu Ye, but he was also weaker.

He had heard about Lu Ye going against 200 people on his own, and he got confirmation from the man himself. Even though he found it inconceivable, he naturally believed Lu Ye’s words.

Therefore, he came to the realisation that he was no longer a match for Lu Ye, though it couldn’t be said that there was a huge difference between their powers. Anyway, he was glad to have such a powerful Junior Brother.

“I’m sorry for making you worried, Senior Brother.” Lu Ye felt guilty. While he kicked up a storm outside, Li Baxian was most worried about him. The Sect Master and Shui Yuan were in Jiu Zhou, and considering the difficulty in the transmission of information, they might not know what had happened.

On the other hand, Li Baxian was fully aware of everything, but much to his dismay, he was unable to help Lu Ye in any way. Previously, he took Feng Yuechan and Ju Jia to leave Ameliorate Arcane Glade, ready to help Lu Ye outside Hundred Wards Tower. In the end, he was not of any help, and it was Hua Ci who saved Lu Ye.

Li Baxian slowly shook his head and patted Lu Ye’s shoulder. “I’m glad that you’re fine.”

Then, he turned to look at Hua Ci and nodded. “Thanks for the help, Junior Sister Hua Ci.”

To be honest, he still hadn’t figured out how Hua Ci, a Medical Cultivator, managed to get Lu Ye out of trouble when they were surrounded by cultivators of Thousand Demon Ridge. Moreover, she had only recently ascended to the Cloud River Realm.

It seemed that both Hua Ci and Lu Ye were gifted. While Li Baxian was glad to have them as Juniors, he also felt a sense of urgency. Compared with most Cloud River Realm Masters, he and Feng Yuechan could increase their powers pretty quickly. They had achieved such a height even though it had only been two years since they arrived at Cloud River Battlefield. It could be said that 99 per cent of cultivators were unable to pull off the same feat.

Moreover, having built their foundations in the Spirit Creek Realm for over ten years, they were significantly more powerful than an average Seventh-Order Master. At the very least, Li Baxian had the confidence to stand his ground against Xia Liang.

One had to know that, generally speaking, a Sword Cultivator was able to defeat a cultivator of a higher Order, not to mention that he was the talented Li Baxian. He was a proud man, so he understood that he had to work harder to improve his cultivation. If his Juniors would be so far ahead of him one day, it would be embarrassing for him.

While they were talking, Amber leapt onto Ju Jia’s head and crouched down. Although it had been quite a while since they last met, Amber was still fond of Ju Jia. Life had been interesting as the tiger ventured into the outside world with Lu Ye, but only when it was by Ju Jia’s side would it feel relaxed.

Ju Jia flashed a frank smile at Lu Ye, his teeth glinting under the Sunlight. They hadn’t met for several months, and Ju Jia seemed to have grown stronger. His towering figure contained amazing vitality and strength.

Lu Ye’s head was at the man’s chest when he stood in front of him. He thumped against Ju Jia’s chest and a clang was heard. It was as if he had just struck a piece of metal.

He reckoned that considering his current power, if he didn’t activate Sharp Edge, he might not be able to break the defence of Ju Jia’s body. In terms of the strength of the body, Lu Ye felt that he wasn’t comparable to Ju Jia even if his physique was three times stronger.

But in a way, the Maker was fair. Although Ju Jia was gifted, he was intellectually challenged. There was no doubt he wasn’t so bright compared with an average person. He wasn’t stupid; it was just that he was simple-minded.

They revelled in the reunion after a long time of separation. Feng Yuechan couldn’t help but sigh. “Are you sure you want to stay here and talk?”

Torn between tears and laughter, Li Baxian slapped his forehead and said, “Let’s go back first.”

They proceeded to enter the valley together. After they got into the Grand Ward, the beautiful scenery of Ameliorate Valley came into their sight.

“Sister Hua Ci, don’t you think this place is beautiful?” Yi Yi whispered while leaning close to Hua Ci. When Lu Ye decided to place the Wisp of Sanctification here, she was elated. After all, women loved all things beautiful.

“You’re the most beautiful, Yi Yi.” Hua Ci lovingly pinched the girl’s face.

A joyful Yi Yi wrapped her arm around Hua Ci’s and rubbed her face against the woman.

The giant wolves, which were getting some rest on the grassland, rose to their feet and looked in their direction. A white-furred Wolf Mutant that was especially lofty nodded at Lu Ye as though it was a Human.

It was the first time Hua Ci saw so many Champion-class Spirit Beasts, so she tutted in amazement. She wondered how Li Baxian and the others got along well with the pack of wolves.

“They’ve been of great help. When we were away, they were the ones who protected the Arcane Glade. When we returned, we saw no signs of intrusion,” Li Baxian said while walking forward.

Anyway, everyone knew that Ameliorate Arcane Glade belonged to Lu Ye, so no one would be reckless enough to make a scene here.

Even Xia Liang and the others only dared hunt Lu Ye down. The idea of damaging the Arcane Glade never crossed their minds. After all, Lu Ye had threatened to retaliate against those who dared harm the Arcane Glade before he left.

“There seem to be more wolves now,” Lu Ye said. He recalled that there were roughly 300 wolves before he left, but now, there were apparently more wolves now.

Li Baxian replied with a smile, “From time to time, the Wolf King would bring back some other wolves from places we do not know where. That’s why there are more wolves now.”

Fortunately, these wolves would go out and hunt for food, so Li Baxian and the others didn’t have to provide for them. They only needed to cultivate with Ju Jia by absorbing the essence of the Moon during nighttime. Otherwise, feeding so many Spirit Beasts would be a huge problem.

Now, Lu Ye’s cultivation and his mastery of the Way of Wards had improved tremendously, and coupled with so many Wolf Mutants, Ameliorate Valley probably had the best defence on Cloud River Battlefield alongside the Divine Trade Associations in different places.

Several wooden houses had been erected in the centre of the valley. Surely, Lu Ye’s house was still around, and there was a new one that was just beside his.

“It’s a house for Junior Sister Hua Ci. Yuechan and I built it together. I’m not sure if it’s to your liking, though. If you’re not satisfied with it, I’ll rebuild it, Junior Sister.”

Certainly, Hua Ci was happy with the building. She had stayed in a hostile environment such as Myriad Poison Forest for nearly a year, so she wasn’t fastidious about where she lived.

“It’s good enough. Thanks, Fourth Senior Brother and Senior Sister Feng.”

“Alright, get some rest for now. I’ll go and prepare a welcome-back party for you,” Li Baxian said with a smile and fished out an apron from his Storage Bag. He put it on, seemingly ready to head to the kitchen and prepare an ample meal for them.

He was a powerful Sword Cultivator, but he now looked like a chef. Those who were familiar with Li Baxian would be shocked if they saw him. Nevertheless, it was the other side of Li Baxian most people didn’t know. In fact, he was adept at cooking.
