Upon entering the City of Wuyuan, Yi Yi went on to collect some information. As such, Lu Ye understood the current affairs in the city and the status of the five major Families.

He wanted to save Ying Wuji, but the five Families were not willing to let him go. They even wanted to capture him.

Therefore, he could only do one thing, which was to let them have a taste of their own medicine. He would capture each person from the five Families in exchange for Ying Wuji. It wasn’t difficult for him.

As for breaking into the prison and saving Ying Wuji, he had no idea where the prison was, and it was heavily guarded for sure. If he barged into it, he might not even be able to leave.

The Hidden Realm had been around for 1,000 years, so they must have an ample heritage.

“Are you here to capture me so that you can force them to release your companion?” Wei Wuguang was old and shrewd. He soon saw through Lu Ye’s intention.

“Why not?” Lu Ye rubbed the hilt of his saber.

Instead of feeling exasperated, Wei Wuguang laughed. “I never expected that someone would underestimate me one day.” He suddenly stopped laughing and spoke icily. “You’re pretty naive, huh? How dare you make a scene in my residence?”

Upon finishing his words, he activated his Spiritual Power. A powerful aura radiated from his seemingly frail body. His vitality was as vibrant as the Sun.

It didn’t seem like he had made a move, but he appeared in front of Lu Ye the next moment as he extended his hand towards his opponent’s head.

Although he was informed that Lu Ye was only an Eighth-Order Cloud River Realm Master, he never held back his power.

Having lived for so many years, he understood that even a lion had to fully activate its power to capture a rabbit. Therefore, even though he was faced with a weaker opponent, he wouldn’t underestimate him.

That was the reason he stood out among the Wei Family members at a young age and eventually became the patriarch.

Moreover, the young man before his eyes was important. Initially, he was thinking about how to get all the benefits for himself. If he could capture him right there and then, he might find out many secrets.

Unfortunately for him, the moment he made a move, he felt his chest tightening. A sense of uneasiness suddenly rose within him.

Before he came to his senses, a fiery Saber Light flickered before his eyes.

“Ah!” he exclaimed and felt an immense force striking him. He was sent flying away like a ragged bag while spraying out a mouthful of blood in mid-air.

Following that, he crashed into the partition and fell to the ground with a thud. After getting to his feet in a hurry, he sported a solemn expression. He looked at the young man like the latter was a ghost while Lu Ye was slowly rising from the chair.

“You…” Wei Wuguang subconsciously wanted to ask something, but he didn’t even know what the question should be. [What’s with this young man?]

Lu Ye was only an Eighth-Order Master, so how did he possess such an ample Spiritual Power? Why was he so powerful and agile?

Wei Wuguang could be considered one of the most powerful people in this world, but when the young man rose to his feet, he felt as if he was looking at a mountain. Despite the other party’s not-so-tall figure, he felt immensely pressured.

The indescribable feeling made his body tense up. He couldn’t help but recall the one experience when he went out there to take in people from the outside world when he was young.

That time, he came across an Iron Corpse Marshal, who worked under Shi Sha. The cultivators he took with him were all killed. In the end, he had no choice but to activate a treasure to save his life.

Memories from the past whirled in his mind as he was once again gripped by fear.

The hand he had used to attack Lu Ye was now trembling violently. There was a hideous wound in his palm. If he hadn’t reacted swiftly, he would’ve lost his hand. In fact, he was the one who was too naive.

Many thoughts turned over in his mind as he charged backwards, ready to break the wall and flee.

Although the exchange of moves was brief, he understood that the young man was immensely powerful.

If he were still young, he would try to fight the other party. However, he had been in an authoritative position for a long time, and he was old. As such, he wasn’t willing to contend with him. After all, it was said that the older a person was, the wimpier he became.

However, he soon found himself crashing into an invisible barrier, which bounced him back.

“A Ward?” His expression changed, for a Ward had been set up there without his knowledge.

He finally realised why the others from the Wei Family were oblivious to what was going on there, for the noise had been blocked out by the Ward.

He looked at the young man, who had hung his head low while walking towards him with a saber, and he said quickly, “Stop it, Little Friend! Whatever you want me to do, I’ll oblige.”

[Is this old man so tactful?] Lu Ye arched his brow and nodded. “Come with me, then.”

A moment later, the others from the Wei Family saw something shocking. A young man with a saber at his waist walked ahead while the patriarch followed him as they left the place.

The lowly servants naturally wouldn’t dare ask questions. They only respectfully saluted Wei Wuguang.

The cultivators from the Wei Family had wanted to ask something, but Wei Wuguang dismissed them.

It wasn’t until they left the Wei Residence that Wei Wuguang let out a breath and looked at the young man before his eyes with a conflicted expression.

The other party didn’t restrict him in any way, and his back was even against him. It was as if he wasn’t worried Wei Wuguang would launch a sneak attack on him.

Wei Wuguang had been struggling internally while leaving his residence, but he didn’t dare take a risk in the end.

Honestly, he hadn’t figured out how powerful the young man was. That was because he was powerless to fend off even one attack from him.

Lu Ye was so confident and fearless. He was either foolish or confident about his power.

Since he had the guts to break into the Wei Residence and set up a Ward in advance, it was obviously not the former. In other words, he truly had the confidence in his power.

If they had fallen out right there and then, Wei Wuguang might not have been able to capture him, and many of the people from the Wei Family would have been injured or killed.

As the patriarch, he didn’t dare take any chances. After leaving the Wei Residence, he no longer had the capital to take a risk. He could only submit to fate.

Fortunately, he had seen through the other party’s intention. Lu Ye only wanted to save his companion, and he exuded no murderous intent.

Wei Wuguang wondered if the young man came from Mount Sumeru or Purple Star Palace. He reckoned it was the latter, for only they could nurture such a powerful cultivator.

They soon arrived at an ordinary home. Lu Ye pushed the door open and entered it. Despite his unwillingness, Wei Wuguang could only follow him.

Upon entering the courtyard, he felt his chest tightening as though he had barged into a lion’s den. However, there was no one else in the courtyard.

He soon came to the realisation that an incredible Ward had been set up in the courtyard. Since he was inside the Ward, his life or death depended on the other party.

“Little Friend, Silver Snake Valley is jointly controlled by the five major Families. It’s pointless for me to capture me only. Other people might seize the chance and infuriate you to achieve their ulterior motive. You have to keep your eyes peeled,” Wei Wuguang said. He was worried the young man would be fooled since the latter knew little about the current affairs in this Hidden Realm. As such, he was friendlier to Lu Ye now.

“I know.” Lu Ye nodded and looked meaningfully at him. “You’ll have some companions soon.”

“Companions?” Wei Wuguang felt his eyelids twitching as he realised something. Before he could speak, Lu Ye had turned around and left.

[Is he going to leave me here on my own?] Wei Wuguang was torn between exasperation and laughter. Although there was an incredible Ward there, the other party had underestimated him by leaving him there on his own.

As the thought turned over in his mind, he turned around and saw a cub, which had white and smooth fur, seated there on a chair.

As their eyes met, a glint of shock flashed across Wei Wuguang’s gaze. He could tell that Amber was no ordinary Spirit Beast.

It wasn’t that no one was there to keep an eye on him. The other party had left behind a Spirit Beast there. But what could the tiger do?

While he was in his thoughts, the cub suddenly picked up a Ward Flag and waved it at him.

“Wait a second!” Wei Wuguang raised his hand to stop the tiger, but it was too late. A fog suddenly rolled around the courtyard and engulfed him. A murderous intent seemed to be lurking in the dark, making sure he wouldn’t dare make a move.

[It is a Spirit Beast which can activate a Ward!] While in the fog, Wei Wuguang was dumbfounded. What he had seen was inconceivable. Despite his old age, he had never seen such an intelligent Spirit Beast before.

Outside the Ward, Yi Yi suddenly appeared with a Ward Flag in her hand.

Wei Wuguang thought Lu Ye had only left a Spirit Beast there to monitor him, but in actuality, Yi Yi was also around.

Lu Ye had personally built the Ward so that Yi Yi and Amber could either attack or retreat. Once they came across danger, they could protect themselves. Certainly, they were powerful enough to keep an eye on Wei Wuguang.

Inside the fog, Wei Wuguang wouldn’t dare move around as he was worried he might trigger a Ward. As such, he sat down on the ground with his legs crossed in silence.

Around two hours later, the fog suddenly started rolling. Before Wei Wuguang came to his senses, a figure entered the fog and charged right at him. He subconsciously thought it was an attack, so he activated his power and pushed out his palm.

His attack directly struck the other party’s chest. Instantly, the person groaned and sprayed out a mouthful of blood, which tainted Wei Wuguang’s face.

“Hmm?” When Wei Wuguang heard a familiar voice and lifted his head to see a face he knew only too well, he felt his eyelids twitching. “Long You?”

“Old Man Wei, are you trying to kill me?” Long You snapped. He was already injured in the first place, and he was then mercilessly attacked by Wei Wuguang. Now, he didn’t even have the strength to get up.

“Why are you…” Wei Wuguang caught himself as he finally realised what was going on.

The young man had captured Long You and brought him back. After Wei Wuguang was subdued, Long You wasn’t spared the same fate.

Deep within, Wei Wuguang was shocked that Lu Ye was so efficient. It had only been two hours since the young man left, but he had managed to capture Long You.
