“An omnipotent existence who lives in the hearts of all loving creatures in the world? What kind of existence is that? Why did he choose me? And, what does that mean for me?”

Strong winds continued to rage across the Bloody Plateau, sweeping along countless corpses and bones. These bones gradually accumulated to form a layer of bloody gravel, glittering and shining with a strange bloody beauty.

Di Kun stood there silently for a long time. His heart was still in turmoil because of those words. It had been some time since the incident, but he could not calm down in the slightest.

His current emotions were different from what he initially experienced at the beginning. They could no longer be described as horror or shock at this point. On the contrary, it felt as though there was a chaotic thunderstorm swirling around in his head. The lightning seemed to strike his True Spirit so violently that he nearly crumpled to the ground on the spot.

Although the voice was gone, he could not forget the bone-chilling feeling that made his hair stand on end and his scalp tingle. It had been a mixture of shock, horror, disbelief… Everything he experienced since the day he was born could not compare to that moment of terror and disbelief. In fact, he was beginning to wonder whether he had been dreaming.

Who could truly be Immortal? Even those whose cultivation had surpassed the Last Stage of the Ancestral Dao Realm would eventually crumble to dust in time and sink to the bottom of the River of Time.

His Father was known as the Beast Ancestor. Despite possessing overwhelming strength, his Father was just another Ancestral Dao Realm existence. Even if he strove for his entire life, he would never reach the Last Stage.

On the other hand, the owner of that voice lived in the hearts and desires of all living creatures in the world. Would that not mean he was an actual Immortal and Invincible existence? He had transcended the concepts of ‘Immortality’ and ‘Eternal’ that they knew.

In certain Small Universes, a fallen Quasi-Immortal Emperor could re-emerge from the timeline of the past or the future as long as somebody remembered their names and recited their true names. That was because the River of Time in those Small Universes were shallow and limited. Likewise, the construction of the World Principles was very fragile and weak.

Any world could be destroyed by external forces at any time. After all, both the World Principles of the world and the power that could be accommodated by the world were constructed in accordance with the reflection of a Supreme Civilisation. As a matter of fact, the so-called Quasi-Immortal Emperors would not possess such an almost Immortal and Indestructible strength if they were to leave their Small Universe.

In the Boundless Expanse, even Ancestral Dao Realm existences who knew their destiny could not achieve such levels of near Immortality. There was a definite end to their lifespans and cultivation. If the Boundless Expanse had allowed such incredible power to emerge, then the operating World Principles would have fallen into chaos by now. There would be no reason for its existence.

The full term of ‘Immortal Decay Tribulation’ fundamentally prevented such a phenomenon from occurring, and that was also the reason why Di Kun was so shocked at this moment.

“As long as there are living creatures and desires, he will always exist. Doesn’t that mean even the Decay Tribulations can no longer restrain him. Does such a being truly exist? Has he been here since the birth of the Boundless Expanse?” Di Kun was horrified. It felt as though such things were beyond his scope of comprehension.

Afterwards, he stood quietly on the Bloody Plateau for a long time before his emotions gradually calmed down. He did not know why the owner of the voice approached him. More importantly, the voice had not told him what price he would have to pay.

“If I became a Beast Overlord in the future…” He stared into the distance, his eyes blazing with deep desire. Just as the voice had mentioned, his desire and yearning for the position of Beast Overlord was stronger than ever before.

In the next moment, he waved his brush. His figure vanished from the spot as he swiftly departed the Bloody Plateau and headed towards the place where the voice had told him.

At the same time, in the Southbarren Ancient Territory.

The Southbarren Ancient Territory did not belong to any Force. In fact, it could be said that this place was one of the few areas in the Primary Hope Civilisation that existed in neutral chaos.

Needless to say, the scope and territory of each ancient territory were different.

Some of the smaller ancient territories encompassed numerous universes and spanned multiple Spacetimes. On the other hand, larger ancient territories contained vast territories with uncountable Great Universes and Worlds under their jurisdiction. Even a cultivator in the Immortal King Realm would need hundreds of years or longer to cross over to the other side.

As the name suggested, the vast territories of the Southbarren Ancient Territory were mostly comprised of wilderness such as ancient forests and mountains. Only a few ancient cities were scattered here and there.

It was said that the Southbarren Ancient Territory was the site of a Supreme Force’s mountain gate in ancient times. Millions of epochs had passed, and the mountain gate had long since collapsed. Only dilapidated ruins remained now. Nevertheless, fragmented Spacetime Rifts that contained ancient caves and Secret Realms could often be seen in the vicinity.

For the young cultivators from various Major Forces across the Primary Hope Civilisation, the Southbarren Ancient Territory was the best place to train themselves. Innumerable number of them would flock over daily to train and search for opportunities. Even Dao Realm experts would occasionally be found searching for rare materials or Treasures in the area.

The Purple Return City was the largest and oldest city in the Southbarren Ancient Territory, which stood in the middle of the wild and primitive continent like an Ancient Star.

Celestial Mist lingered in the surroundings as far as the eye could see, and gigantic lakes could be seen scattered throughout the lands. Moreover, wild beasts roamed amidst the towering mountains enveloped in Spiritual Energy and colourful mist.

Numerous Divine Rainbows and carriages could be seen coming and going through the mountains and ridges. In addition, there were many caravans travelling to the Purple Return City with goods sourced from everywhere in the Southbarren Ancient Territory.

At this moment, the sound of horse hooves thundered down a spacious trade road leading to the Purple Return City. A long line of caravans pulling a large amount of goods was travelling down the road, stirring up a storm of dust behind them.

A dozen knights rode on wild beasts at the forefront of the caravans. Their scale armour flashed brightly, showcasing their brilliant talents. They were responsible for protecting the caravans behind them.

Even the wild beasts in charge of pulling the goods possessed extraordinary Bloodlines. Their shocking vitality resembled the might of lightning that made one’s heart tremble.

It was obvious that the origins of the caravan were exceptional. Although their goods were packed inside chests, the interior of these chests contained an entire universe in itself. In fact, the storage space was no less than those of battleships.

“I heard that the Thousand Treasures Secret Domain has appeared outside the world recently, and countless young ones from various great Forces are rushing to Purple Return City to enter it. I’ve also asked around about the other matters, Young Master. The Heaven’s Wishful Heart that you’ve been looking for is most likely inside the Thousand Treasures Secret Domain.”

Behind the caravan stood a young man in brocade clothes. He was leaning against the carriage and chewing on a piece of green foxtail grass. With his hands folded behind his head and his leg crossed over his knee, he looked absolutely rebellious and cynical.

Next to him was a young boy dressed as a servant. The young boy had bright eyes. At this moment, he was reporting to the man in a quiet voice.
