Lu Zi rose early today, and since there was nothing particular to do, she thought she would visit the Central Market. She used to be from the Mountain Elephant Tribe.

The young woman had spent the past few days teaching the children of the Tribe to sing, and remarkably, those children were absolutely delighted to learn.

During singing lessons, the children were exceptionally enthusiastic, sitting perfectly still without requiring any reminders whatsoever.

“The Central Market has been so lively these past days,” Lu Zi remarked with wonder.

The young woman had long wished to explore it, but had been too busy to find the time. Now that she had a moment free, she immediately rushed out.

    *Step step step…*

Lu Zi finished her allocated breakfast and began walking towards the Central Market, her face beaming with joy throughout the journey.

After more than twenty minutes, the young woman reached the entrance of the Central Market, gazing up at the long plaque hanging above.

She had recently been learning to read, and she recognised these characters, which read ‘Flame Dragon Central Market.’

“Indeed, being able to read is great.” Lu Zi observed with satisfaction.

The young woman wore a linen dress today, distributed to her some time ago. Not everyone was entitled to receive linen.

Were it not for the young woman teaching the children to sing, this linen dress would certainly not have been allocated to her.

The envious glances of passersby were unmistakable, all staring directly at Lu Zi’s linen dress.

Those who received linen dresses naturally held higher status, and beyond this, the onlookers desperately desired their own linen garments.

Even a small piece of linen would be welcome, yet they could hardly obtain large pieces of Animal Hide, let alone linen.

*Step step step…* Lu Zi stepped inside, her purple eyes continuously scanning the surroundings with delighted amazement.

Her mouth hung open in wonder as she exclaimed. “This place is absolutely amazing, everything appears so orderly!”

The young woman’s face expressed complete astonishment; she found the interior environment of the Central Market utterly captivating.

She had already been quite impressed by the orderliness within the Flame Dragon Tribe itself, but now, having visited the Central Market, her amazement had multiplied.

The degree of organisation in the Central Market was extraordinary, with every section arranged with perfect precision.

The goods displayed at each entrance were meticulously arranged, and the ground was spotlessly clean, without a single piece of refuse.

“Such a thing would be impossible in our Tribe…” Lu Zi reflected with wonder.

Her Tribe lay on the opposite side of the great river, where the quality of life was certainly far inferior to this side.

Food and necessities were naturally incomparable, and the environmental standards were beyond question.

“If only our Tribe could achieve such excellence…” Lu Zi murmured to herself.

The young woman first entered the perfume shop to browse, this being her primary objective for the day.

When she had previously encountered the fragrance, she had become somewhat entranced, deeply desiring to possess her own bottle of perfume.

However, she possessed no dried meat for exchange, so she could only observe.

“The scent remains equally delightful; the Shaman is truly remarkable,” Lu Zi remarked, setting down the perfume.

The young woman departed the perfume shop, having lingered there for quite some time.

Since she had no intention of purchasing perfume, remaining inside would only inconvenience others wishing to trade, so she dared not tarry long before leaving.

“The Shaman promised that if I work diligently at teaching, I too could obtain what I desire,” Lu Zi thought to herself.

These words had indeed been spoken to the young woman by Su Bai, intended to encourage everyone to conscientiously complete their assigned duties.

Naturally, this was not merely empty promises; those who performed excellently in their work would indeed receive their desired rewards.

[I have decided that when the Shaman declares me qualified, I shall request for perfume!] Lu Zi resolved privately.

*Step step step…* The young woman did not linger at the entrance but immediately proceeded to the next establishment, as her leisure time was precious and must be utilised efficiently.

Lu Zi spent the entire morning exploring the Central Market, departing with complete satisfaction towards the outside.

She came to an open, deserted area, cleared her throat, and began singing with abandon.

“Li la, li la, let us take up arms against those fierce and savage Ferocious Beasts…”

“Li la, li la, we must never retreat, we must make those enemies pay the price…”

Lu Zi remained completely absorbed in her own singing; these songs she had begun performing in her original Tribe.

Having learned them from childhood over many years, she now sang with natural ease, and her voice attracted numerous passersby who stopped to listen.

Everyone became immersed in these beautiful melodies, occasionally offering words of praise.

However, everyone kept their voices low, fearful of disturbing the young woman.

    *Step step step…*

Meanwhile, several figures in the distance were rushing towards the direction of the young woman’s singing.

They ran with great speed, as though they had encountered something familiar.

These people were from the Earth Tiger Tribe; Yini was leading Ci rapidly towards the source.

“Are you certain this is a song from your Tribe?” Yini asked while running.

“I am certain, absolutely certain; this is definitely that song. I can sing it too, as you well know,” Ci replied, her face filled with joy and excitement.

Yini brushed aside her scattered grey hair and said, “I hope it truly is someone from your Tribe.”

“After all this time, I have finally heard this type of song again. I have never heard it before now; I am certain this is someone from my Tribe!” Ci declared with absolute conviction.

Several minutes later, the Earth Tiger Tribe members reached Lu Zi’s location, with Yini holding the others back.

She gestured for Ci to approach, and upon seeing the singing figure, she confirmed her suspicions.

The singing young woman possessed the same skin tone as Ci. Both had wheat-coloured complexions. Perhaps the only differences were hair colour and eye colour, and most importantly, they shared those distinctive pointed ears.

“It really is you, Lu Zi!” Ci exclaimed with excitement.

The young woman’s shout rang particularly loud amongst the crowd, causing Lu Zi to immediately cease her singing.

Following the sound of the voice, she found it strangely familiar, and upon spotting Ci in the crowd, she froze.

“So you are still alive; after all this time, I thought you…” Lu Zi’s purple eyes instantly filled with tears.

“It is me, I am still alive!” Ci immediately ran over.

The two embraced tightly with joy, a scene that startled the onlookers, who departed without further observation.

“How? Why are you here?” Lu Zi was first to speak.

“I came with the Earth Tiger Tribe people; I have joined them.” Ci explained.

Lu Zi wiped the tears from her eyes and said, “I have also joined the Flame Dragon Tribe; I now work for them.”

“Are you doing well? What of our Tribespeople? How did you come here?” Ci asked several questions in rapid succession.

“You’re too excited. Calm down and let us speak properly.” Lu Zi soothed.
