“System, exchange the thousand top Immortal Stones for Domain Points.”

“Fifty million points.” Chen Changan muttered with joy.

It was the most he ever had. It felt like he got rich overnight!

    [Awesome! Stupendous!]

“Ha~, it’s a shame for the Heavenly Dao Protector mission, or I’d upgrade the system to v5.0 already.”

He squinted, “Ruler of Life and Death. I need to upgrade it fast. It might help Bao’er on Sumeru Immortal Domain.”

Chen Changan had two things to do first.

To make some Dao Rhythm items, for one. He didn’t know what grade they’d come out, though he hoped for top ones, like anyone else.

And secondly, to expand Absolute Domain with Domain Points.

Chen Changan did just that, spreading the domain further and further without anyone noticing a thing.

With fifty million Domain Points invested, the Absolute Domain covered a third of Myriad Mountains.

“I hope Wu Ming and Myriad Mountains will bring back enough stones to cover the rest of Myriad Mountains.”

Chen Changan stretched his back and focused on carving.

    Bronze Mountain.

Touba Ye, Hong Yi, and She Zini had been gone for a while in the mysterious tomb.

The Golden Python race sent people after them, but none had returned.

They were beginning to suspect the three Demons were also dead.

The Golden Python race was forced to seal the tomb and leave Bronze Mountain.

A sudden booming sound came from deep within Bronze Mountain in the dead of night.

The seals on the tomb blew up and a stalwart man, covered in blood, walked out.

He was pale and weak, with one of his two horns snapped off.

Touba Ye fought to make it out, leaving a trail of blood behind. He finally slumped to the ground, too weak to move.

A black figure walked from the black tomb, his footsteps sounding calm and leisurely yet with boundless killing intent in his every movement.

The figure paused before Touba Ye.

“Not bad, you almost escaped.” The figure’s voice was cold as ice.

Touba Ye struggled to look up, sneering. “Young master will get you for this!”

The figure pointed, and a light shone in the dark night, leaving a hole in Touba Ye’s forehead.

The light in Touba Ye’s eyes faded. His body was engulfed in flames and burned to ashes.

The figure glanced at the burning Touba Ye, then went back into the tomb.

    The tomb entrance vanished.

At one point, a howl came from the raging fire. Touba Ye walked out of it, safe and sound, though weakened.

He then proceeded to swallow the fire.

Touba Ye looked grave where the tomb used to be. “It’s all thanks to Young Master’s Obscure Nirvana that I could be reborn.”

“She Zini, Hong Yi, hold on. I’ll get Young Master to save you.” Touba Ye left at once.

“Lord, that’s a top Dao Rhythm item.”

Chen Changan was carving prayer beads in his home.

The finished beads released a majestic Buddhist hymn, earning Wu Ming’s endless admiration.

Chen Changan yawned, throwing it to Wu Ming.

Chen Changan rubbed his forehead, feeling tired. His mind felt worn out from carving the Dao Rhythm items.

He could only make three top Dao Rhythm items per day before exhaustion set in.

[If I don’t get two days to laze about, then all the work will be for nothing.]

A week passed, and Chen Changan created ten items. Five of them were Buddhist, giving them to Wu Ming when he left for the Immortal Domain.

The other five were of different paths.

Per Wu Ming’s evaluation, the items were split into four top and six high.

Chen Changan stopped at ten. “Wu Ming, you have two days to get ready, for on the third, you’ll leave for the Immortal Domain.” Chen Changan said.

    Wu Ming nodded. “Yes, Lord.”

The disciple contest was still some time away, but Chen Changan couldn’t wait.

He flexed his mind, and Bai Yue, who cultivated in the Immortal Land, popped before him.

    Bai Yue flinched.

“Bai Yue.” Chen Changan’s voice echoed.

Bai Yue recovered and spoke, “Greetings, Senior. How may I help you?”

Chen Changan waved his hand, and Nine Province Cauldron appeared.

    Bai Yue cocked her head.

Chen Changan sensed the cauldron’s power stir, Dao resonating.

“Bai Yue, the disciple contest is still a few days away. I plan to give you the cauldron for now.”

    “Give?” Bai Yue asked.

“Yes, so you’d become Heavenly Dao Protector.”

Bai Yue started. “Senior, what about the disciple contest?”

“Worry not. It’s only temporary that you get to be the Heavenly Dao Protector. It will be all up to you, on the day of the contest, whether you get to be the Heavenly Dao Protector for real. Are you willing?”

“I don’t know why Senior is doing this, but I am.”

“Good.” Chen Changan released his mark from the cauldron.

The Nine Province Cauldron shone in a glorious light and shot for Bai Yue.

[Holy! Aren’t you too excited?] Chen Changan was annoyed.

As an Immortal Domain genius, the Dao approval was out of this world.

Chen Changan would’ve long reduced it to fertilizer, but alas, he needed it.

Bai Yue didn’t refuse, letting the cauldron fall in her hand. She earned its approval on the spot, and the Nine Province Cauldron entered her body.

Chen Changan said, “Bai Yue, will you be my disciple?”
