    Mo Wentian’s heart sank.

He had to thank his hard work, as well as the one-eyed Immortal Emperor’s help for reaching this far.

The old man played a crucial role in his growth. Mo Wentian had nothing but gratitude towards him.

Yet this mentor of his said he couldn’t find any weakness in Bai Yue’s Tai Chi.

As things stood, she would beat Qing Yunfei and if he were to face her after Zhuang Xue, he’d be in trouble.

Mo Wentian sighed. “Then I’ll just handle it as it comes.”

Bai Yue and Qinq Yunfei were in a fierce battle.

Qinq Yunfei’s defense was solid, thanks to his scales, but against Tai Chi, it was practically nothing, crushed under every blow and leaving him wounded.

Qinq Yunfei found it hard to fight back.

His left hand reached out with a secret art, turning into an Azure Dragon as he struck.

The energy in the air was sucked dry as the palm exploded in size.

Bai Yue replied by raising a fist.

    The azure palm was crushed.

He gnashed his teeth at how easily his secret art failed. Bai Yue’s Tai Chi was flawless, or at least he didn’t see any chance of overcoming it. Nothing worked, be it his strongest secret art or magic treasure.

Mesmerizing and fantastic hues decorated the arena.

Bai Yue wielded Tai Chi with her left while her right held an immortal sword.

It was one of her aces, Moon Flower.

With a shake, it grew to half a mile in size.

It was light as a feather in her grip, yet unleashing a devastating aura.

Waving it around, she swept the skies and crushed everything Qinq Yunfei took out, be it arts or Immortal Equipment.

She took light steps, in the yin-yang stance.

Tai Chi sealed the world as she unleashed the Taiji symbol along with her punch.

It struck Qinq Yunfei head-on, wreaking havoc throughout his body with ungodly forces.

His skin cracked and blood spewed as his organs broke.

His meridians lay in twain as he groaned and coughed blood and more blood.

    “Sorry.”

    Bai Yue said flatly.

Qinq Yunfei looked up to find her oversized sword bearing down on him.

His power was crushed, with no hope of avoiding it.

But his yearning for life lingered with an ardent passion.

He wanted to fight, but his body betrayed him, now weak and in pieces.

As the sword fell, it brought the duel to a close.

Bai Yue glanced at Qinq Yunfei’s body and eased a breath.

Qinq Yunfei was tough. She had Tai Chi to fall back on, but it still wasn’t an assured win.

Her nerves were stretched taut, only easing as Qinq Yunfei breathed his last.

Only one fight left. She just had to win again and she had the right to be Master’s disciple.

The disciple contest was her way to prove that she was worthy.

    “Winner, Bai Yue.

    “Let the next fight commence.”

    Chen Changan spoke.

The ruined death arena was remade in a blink and Bai Yue was back in the square.

Zhuang Xue and Mo Wentian appeared on stage.

Chen Changan said to Bai Yue.

    “Well done.”

    “All thanks to Master’s guidance.”

    Bai Yue whispered.

“No, your display of Tai Chi is due solely to your hard work.”

Bai Yue flushed with a lowered head at his praise.

    “Thank you, Master.”

Having activated her recultivation Immortal Mark, there was not a trace of Demonic Energy on her. Her swaying white fox tails and ears made for a serene view, out of this world and pure.

    It was so moe.

    Chen Changan rubbed her head.

“Do your best. There’s one fight left.”

Bai Yue’s heart raced at his action, her ears standing straight.

It was obvious her ears were now bright red, yet stood stock still.

[Why does Master’s attention make me so nervous?]

Chen Changan felt awkward at her shift in demeanor.

[Oh crap, went for a head pat out of reflex.]

He’d gotten used to doing it with Bao’er and Foxy all the time.

[It won’t make it weird, right?]

    [I’m an upstanding gentleman.]

Awkwardness aside, Chen Changan was a seasoned veteran, taking his hand behind him like nothing.

“You’ve been wounded in your fight with Qinq Yunfei. Let me heal you.”

    “Thank you, Master.”

Bai Yue said quickly and sneaked a peek.

Now she understood why Foxy liked head rubs.

It was so nice and warm.

[Is this how Master shows his care and love?]

    Bai Yue’s heart was touched.

Chen Changan used Creation to patch Bai Yue up.

Outside the Trial Tower, many girls watched Chen Changan and Bai Yue’s interaction, all with an obsessive yearning.

[Why did Senior pat her head?]

    [Is Bai Yue prettier?]

[No, Senior isn’t that kind of guy.]

[Senior is lofty and mild, not sleazy.]
