While Tu Jing focused his attention on the Blood Moon’s Owner, his peripheral vision caught a glimpse of the camp below.

In the camp, almost all the soldiers had been withdrawn. One could imagine that without Tu Jing’s earlier resistance against the Blood Moon’s Owner, the soldiers below would have suffered devastating casualties.

Seeing so many of his subordinates had already utilised the Transport Array to return to the first outpost, Tu Jing felt somewhat reassured. Yet he was keenly aware this was no time to relax. The Blood Moon’s Owner remained a tremendous threat!

At this moment, with Tu Jing’s single arm severed, his weapon and Mount lost, his strength had plummeted by seventy percent. This made his next strike against his Blood Moon’s Owner no different to courting death.

But Tu Jing harboured no thoughts of retreat whatsoever. Should the Blood Moon’s Owner dare advance another step, he would charge forward again without hesitation, doing everything within his power, transcending his limits to block the Blood Moon’s Owner.

Originally, the Blood Moon’s Owner had indeed imposed tremendous pressure upon Tu Jing. Now, however, with the blood in Tu Jing’s chest thoroughly ignited, he truly feared nothing from his opponent!

*Roar!* The Blood Moon’s Owner’s massive Maw opened, and immediately a profound voice surged forth, transforming into sound waves that boomed across the realm.

The very air trembled under its voice, creating visible ripples. Should any Player below the Fourth Profession be present, these sound waves alone would pulverise them to dust!

This might not even be a proper Skill from the Blood Moon’s Owner. It might merely be a simple roar!

Tu Jing felt his eardrums instantly puncture, blood bursting forth, and immediately he could hear nothing at all.

Simultaneously, the Griffin Legion camp was also affected by the sound waves, collapsing entirely. The handful of soldiers who had not managed to evacuate were buried within, most likely facing inevitable death.

Though there were casualties, preserving the lives of the majority was the best Tu Jing could accomplish.

Tu Jing could not even spare any attention for his bodily pain, his eyes fixed intently on the Blood Moon’s Owner, preparing to engage in one final desperate battle.

The opponent clearly intended to continue forward. While still thousands of kilometres from Dragon Country, should it truly reach Dragon Country’s borders, the nation’s fate might mirror that of Extremistis Country!

Just as Tu Jing prepared to strike one final time, transcending his very limits, the taut sound of iron chains, *clang… clang… clang…* rang out.

The Blood Moon’s Owner, having moved forward mere metres, suddenly became motionless, as though some force had restrained it, preventing further advance.

Tu Jing started, then observed thick iron chains wrapped around the Blood Moon’s Owner’s form. The chains’ other end extended into the deepest reaches of the snowy night, their origins completely invisible.

Tu Jing suddenly recalled Lu Fan’s earlier findings, that the Blood Moon’s Owner resembled more of a Mount, dragging behind it an enormous coffin.

That coffin remained sealed beneath an ice lake. None knew its contents, though it allegedly held the body of an Ancient God.

Though the Blood Moon’s Owner had awakened, the coffin remained motionless, still slumbering in its original location.

Thus, these iron chains held the Blood Moon’s Owner taut, preventing it from advancing even half a step further.

The Blood Moon’s Owner possessed an extremely violent temperament. Though bound by chains, one could see it desperately sought freedom to kill and ravage.

The resilience of its body left Tu Jing speechless. The sound of tightening chains thundered like lightning, revealing the immense constraining force applied to the Blood Moon’s Owner.

Such tremendous power could likely crush any Boss above Level 120 with ease.

Unfortunately, this power proved utterly insufficient to make the Blood Moon’s Owner submit.

It struggled desperately, determined to break free and find somewhere to engage in wild slaughter.

As Tu Jing watched this spectacle in amazement, streams of crimson lightning erupted from the chains’ other end, instantly travelling along the iron links to strike the Blood Moon’s Owner.

*Roar!!!* With another shriek, the Blood Moon’s Owner clearly experienced tremendous agony. This roar directly sent Tu Jing flying, causing him to violently spurt out blood.

However, the blood-red lightning simultaneously caused the Blood Moon’s Owner to become considerably more subdued.

Abandoning its previously uncontrollable demeanour, it obediently retreated while closing its eyes. Thus, the pair of enormous Blood Moons vanished from the sky.

As its form withdrew, disappearing into the snowy night, its dark silhouette gradually merged with the Far North’s darkness.

Without the Blood Moons as guidance, even Tu Jing could not determine where the Blood Moon’s Owner had retreated to.

It seemed that while the Blood Moon’s Owner had awakened, Tu Jing need not worry about it travelling to Dragon Country for widespread destruction.

Chains connecting it to the Ancient God remained wrapped around its body. Before the Ancient God’s complete awakening, it should be unable to leave the Far North.

Tu Jing breathed easier momentarily. Yet before he could fully release the tension in his heart, he saw countless dark shadows in the forward darkness, charging toward him at extreme speed.

The sound of avalanches continuously approached from the distance to him. Tu Jing squinted, and upon seeing clearly what these things were, his pupils immediately contracted.

Those dark shadows were countless Fallen Corpse Puppets.

Some were Griffin Legion soldiers whose corpses had been exposed in the Wilderness, never recovered. Others were unique Monsters of the Far North. Though dead, they had transformed into even more powerful Fallen Corpse Puppets, their Levels and Grades significantly elevated!

The Monsters of the Far North were already terrifying enough. Most frightening was their sheer number!

Indeed, these Monsters surged forth en masse. Where they passed, even the snow’s pure whiteness became invisible.

Packed together densely, all were Monsters surging like tidal waves. It was as though someone had disturbed an ant colony.

With so many Monsters, Tu Jing might have battled and slain some had he remained at peak strength. But now, without his Mount, without his right arm and weapon, how could he fend off so many Monsters?

Moreover, engaging them in solitary combat served no purpose.

This Monster Tide of Fallen Corpse Puppets would inevitably spread from the Far North toward Dragon Country.

The wisest course was to immediately retreat, allowing nearby military units to construct defensive fortifications against this Monster Tide.

Tu Jing was no fool. After weighing his options for a moment, he immediately retrieved a Teleportation Scroll from his Inventory, crushed it, and returned to the first outpost the Griffin Legion had established in the Far North.

The first outpost was the Griffin Legion’s initial staging post for exploring the Far North, not far from Dragon Country’s borders.

This outpost had never been abandoned, precisely so that should any upheaval occur in the Far North, Griffin Legion personnel could immediately withdraw…
