Chapter 6072, Creating Matter Out Of Nothing
by SilavinAuthor: Silavin
The first to enter was Zhu Qing, who turned to Su Yan behind, “So, only Yang Ji and Yang Xu? Are you sure? Won’t it be hard on the others?”
Shan Qing Luo added, “Not like the other little ones would be of much help at this point. But, they will each have a role to play later. We agreed to have him divide his time equally right?”
Ji Yao’s calm voice entered, “En. Right now we are just setting the foundation. The faster we get this over with, the more time he will be spending with the rest.”
“Yang Ji, Yang Xu, come with me. As for the others, follow your Mothers back to Starry Sky Palace for now. Each of you will have your own tasks to do, and your Father will join each of you later.” Su Yan gave a soft nod and lifted her hand. With that one small movement, the Twins gently floated to her side as the other children watched.
However, before anything else happened, the Heavenly Demon Queen spoke to Yang Ji and Yang Xu through their Divine Sense. “Bring that little one with you.”
‘Why?’ Yang Ji wanted to ask, but Yang Xu had already spoken up without questioning it too much. “Mother, is it alright if Yang Ling comes with us?”
The other Mothers immediately looked at each other.
Shan Qing Luo shook her head, since it would be unfair if they took only Yang Ling along. It would also be unfair to the rest if she was the only one without strength and was allowed to go.
Meanwhile, others were also showing reluctant expressions.
Favourism was normal, since they were still Humans. But, they could not possibly let it be so evident, right? As Mothers, it would be hard to explain to the rest why Yang Ling was allowed if she could not help out.
Su Yan gave a soft sigh and shook her head. “Yang Ling will be with Sister Xia in the Starry Sky Palace. They would be busy refining Pills.”
Seeing as she got rejected, Yang Xu simply gave a nod and did not question it any further. As for Yang Ling, she initially got a little excited, but was let down by the final decision.
“Hey, why did you agree to ask?” Yang Ji asked Yang Xu through their Divine Sense and she immediately replied, “because Yang Ling wants to come with us. Also, aren’t you curious why she is paying so much attention to Yang Ling?”
“I guess I am, but isn’t it because Yang Ling likes her?” Yang Ji asked, and Yang Xu refuted, “I don’t think it is quite as simple as that. She mentioned something about Yang Ling, but was cut off because Mother entered the room.”
“Now that you mention it, even I am curious about it now.” Yang Ji added.
“Well, we can’t do much right now. Our Mothers are against it so we can only wait. You can ask her for the reason in the meantime. I doubt she would answer if I were the one to ask.” Yang Xu shrugged.
“I refuse.” Seemingly able to hear their conversation, the Heavenly Demon Queen immediately said to the both of them. “Speaking of another in their absence is far too uncouth. If you so desire to hear it, then gather without the adults.”
“And, listening in on others is not uncouth?” Yang Xu rolled her eyes.
“What remedy exists for these unwelcome vocal manifestations that impose themselves upon me without invitation?” The Heavenly Demon Queen replied back in an unbothered fashion.
“You!” Yang Xu wanted to curse but was cut off.
“Okay, see the rest of you later.” Su Yan said and the Space around her distorted, with her and her two children’s figures disappearing from the scene. However, it was not just those three, all the other Mothers and Children also got transported away at the same time by her manipulation of Space Principles.
By the time Space around them returned back to normal, Yang Ji and Yang Xu were already in the sky, far above High Heaven Star City. Below, they could see the whole city, which was magnificent as it was wide. Yet, despite its grandeur, there was a single figure that stood out even amongst the most magnificent palace complexes.
It was their Father, who, at a corner of the city, was exuding a heavy pressure to all those around him.
Thankfully, it seemed like the streets around him were empty, as an evacuation order had been sent out earlier.
Yang Kai was solely focused on three streets. The buildings of these three streets had all been bought by ‘him’, and everything was to be transformed into the new school. Overall, it covered about ten square kilometres, which was large to many but still too small for the scale of the school his Wives had in mind.
In other words, he needed to create an even larger space, around tens of thousands of kilometres, within this area.
This would be an easy feat for any Open Heaven Realm Master who was extremely proficient in the Dao of Space. The difficulty came with the requirement that individuals must be able to enter and leave without suffering any side-effects.
It needed to be said that for people to move through different Spaces, there was bound to be disorientation to some degree. After all, they would be moving through the Void in most cases, similar to how most Transport Arrays functioned.
Typically, for cultivators of certain strength, this would be fine. If not, they would wear protective Artifacts to shield them from such effects. Even so, there were cases where cultivators would feel sick and weak for an entire day.
Meanwhile, High Heaven Academy was expected to welcome regular Mortals. Their Physique was already weak to begin with. Could they truly bear the brunt of such a harsh travel route? Furthermore, most would not be able to afford such Artifacts on their first trip. Though subsequently High Heaven Academy would be giving out Artifacts to all students to function as their identity, but that merely minimises the problem rather than solves it.
Yang Kai had to realistically solve the problem at its root. Transport Arrays were still necessary, but he would need to fix the warps in Space that caused such discomfort. To do that, he would need to create them in a way that does not move through the Void.
“Let’s set up a Protective Array first, to prevent anyone from accidentally entering.” Yang Kai muttered as he tossed out a few Eighth-Order materials around in a pattern, and drew out a basic Protective Array to keep outsiders out.
Next, with the aid of Star Boundary’s Will, Space within the Protective Array started to visibly compress. It was evident, as the buildings that were present started to shrink smaller and smaller, till they were almost indistinguishable from toys, till they could no longer be seen anymore. In fact, what appeared to be a scene of buildings and streets, turning into nothing but darkness.
At this point, Yang Ji and Yang Xu were just staring and learning. Naturally, they could feel from the changes in Space Principles that this darkness was not the typical Void that they were used to traversing. Rather, it was merely empty Space, from the lack of any material around the region. The buildings and streets had merely been shrunk down.
From what Yang Ji and Yang Xu knew, this was similar to the Artifact called Floating Mountain, which Uncle Li Wu Yi made. The difference being that the Floating Mountain would require one to wrap Space to enter, while this allowed one to walk into it to enter. That was why Yang Kai had erected the Protective Array first.
Next, Yang Kai entered the Protective Array, and Su Yan, judging that it was time, also followed behind and entered without resistance. It was clear that Yang Kai had set the Array up, knowing their presence.
There, their next sight changed drastically. They had naturally shrank. In front of them was a space filled with nothingness. The only thing that helped them realise this was not the Void was the complete lack of Void Turbulence. At the same time, when they turned behind, they could see gigantic structures that would take them an hour to climb. Even what they would consider as pebbles outside were now hills to transverse over.
It was overwhelming in a way, and also interesting at the same time. Yang Ji naturally looked towards an insect on a wall, and even that was far bigger than him.
Yang Kai, who immediately noticed, turned back to ask, “The view outside is better, you know?”
“Nothing is better than seeing it first hand.” Su Yan answered, giving Yang Kai no space to refuse.
Yang Kai sighed and looked towards the Twins and explained. “I’m going to start adding the foundation for the place, since it is so empty.”
Then, Yang Kai closed his eyes and started to focus.
He pictured a scene in his mind, one where the ground was filled with earth, deep and unending, with caverns to explore, with jagged ravines carved dramatic pathways through the landscape, their edges softened by cascading vegetation that tumbled toward mysterious depths below. An endless bottom that could not be broken, and space for future Arrays.
Once he opened his eyes Yang Kai placed his hand down and lifted it.
The empty world was soon filled with light, so blinding that it would put the Sun to shame. Yet, from its mere presence, something that transcends the Principles themselves was formed.
The light itself soon dissipated and in front of the bare darkness that sought light, it was now filled with unending earth, no different from the lands outside. Yet, these lands were mysterious. They were similar but different to what was outside. In all appearances, one would not be able to tell. However, for Yang Ji and Yang Xu, who had great mastery over the Dao of Space, this new earth was something obviously foreign.
They mimicked the real thing, close to perfection, but were still not the real thing in itself. Nevertheless, they would function no different from the real thing, so did that really matter?
Yang Kai looked at the brown scene in front of him. So far, even with visions of vegetation, life did not sprout from nothingness. Though he was in the World Creation Realm, able to create matter from nothing, that did not mean he was a master of life.
Still, it was enough to impress his two Children.
“Woah! It suddenly got filled up. Is this what it means to reach the World Creation Realm?” Yang Ji exclaimed.
Su Yan added, “En, even I would not be able to create something from nothing as freely as this. Your Father is amazing isn’t he?”
“En.” Yang Ji and Yang Xu gave strong nods, holding expectations to one day reach that realm.
However, they could hear a voice of degreement, a familiar voice.
