“Pure control of Space…” Yang Ji muttered as he tried to wrap the very fabric of Space to his own will. This time, he merely opted to twist Space itself.

Space Principles undulated as the Space around him began to tremble. Without the Protective Arrays enclosing this place, the fluctuations would have definitely stiffed massive reactions amongst his classmates. Yet, all outside remained silent while all within his room remained in complete chaos.

As though everything in front of his eyes were cloth, walls began to warp. There were creases all over, with spots that clearly stretched. All this was merely him manipulating Space Principles to wrap Space.

However, at a certain point, those creases in the fabric of Space tore open, and a Void Crack leading into the Void was open. Similarly, those areas stretched would also tear open, with more Void Cracks filling the room.

Yang Ji saw this and immediately frowned. If he were to describe the sensation, it was akin to him merely using his hands to pull apart a piece of cloth, only to have it tear right in front of his eyes. He had hardly used any strength, and Space itself had been torn apart.

“Has Space always been this fragile?” Yang Ji muttered, which was easily heard by his Sister, in her own room. Despite there being Arrays isolating them, they still could communicate effortlessly. This was all thanks to the mysterious Heaven Earth Symmetry Cultivation Technique.

“Brother, I think it is because we are too used to tearing Space apart…” Yang Xu said with a frown as well. Her own efforts were proving to yield the same results.

Yang Ji thought back on how their Father and Mother taught them how to manipulate Space. It was truly the case where the first step was the tear open Space, to understand the power of the Void. In fact, most of their understanding of Space had been intrinsically linked to the Void.

Yet, right now, they were trying to control Space, without the Void. In terms of fundamentals, they were sorely lacking when the Void was omitted from the process. In a way, they were true beginners in this.

“You might be right. But to think that a small warp could tear Space to this extent…” Yang Ji sighed.

He waited for a moment, and the Space around him was once again restored back to its original form.

Curious, he tried again and failed.

    Tried again and failed.

Regardless of how delicate he tried to warp Space, it always had one outcome: it would always lead to the Void.

With both Brother and Sister working together, they each tested and theorised their own understanding of Space. Due to them being in different rooms, it further helped in their understanding of Space.

From what Yang Xu could feel, she could tell the Space around her was a little tougher than that of her Brother’s. If her Brother merely needed two fingers to twist Space apart to create a Void Crack, she needed to twist her wrist to create a Void Crack.

It was through such small discoveries that the Twins were getting twice the results with half the effort. Naturally, their understanding of Space rapidly increased. However, it still did not change the fact that all their attempts to warp Space had failed.

After four hours of trial and error, Yang Ji asked, “Each Space is different, with different thresholds. We have searched through our rooms to find the toughest spot to wrap Space, but even that tears apart. Heavenly Demon Queen, are there any more clues you can give us?”

As Yang Ji had suspected, despite the Heavenly Demon Queen not being inside of him, she could still hear him and Yang Xu. It was truly a strange connection they shared.

“Am I to serve as your perpetual instructor? The seeds of wisdom have been adequately sown. True enlightenment of this nature must blossom from within through your own earnest cultivation.” The Heavenly Demon Queen gave a huff. [These children are too used to swift attainment. Who amongst this realm could fathom the boundless depths of a True Dao in such a brief span of time?]

“Brother, no need to bother yourself with her. Haven’t we figured stuff like this out ourselves countless times?” Yang Xu rolled her eyes. She definitely did not want to rely on this worm to teach her. However, there was something that bothered her, “Why do I feel like you are at some distant location? Brother, is she not with you?”

“No, she went off, outside my room. I didn’t really focus too much on her, since we’ve been focused on cultivating.” Yang Ji stated this openly, which threw Yang Xu into an alarmed state.

“You just let her leave like that!? What if she harms someone?” Yang Xu immediately chided him.

However, the Heavenly Demon Queen corrected her, “I am cognizant of your diminished regard for my character, yet even I must protest such calumnious slander. Your esteemed Brother deems me sufficiently trustworthy to traverse unaccompanied. Furthermore, what conceivable purpose would I serve in bringing harm to any soul within this realm of yours?”

“You also need not harbor any concerns regarding my conduct. Let it be known with utmost certainty that I shall never cause calamity upon either of you, nor upon those whom you hold dear.” The Heavenly Demon Queen scoffed. “A person of particular fascination has captured my attention, one which has escaped detection even by your Father’s formidable perception. Rest assured, I shall remain but a humble witness here, merely pending confirmation of my hypothesis.”

“So, you went out to stalk someone?” Yang Xu’s eyes narrowed.

“By strict definition of the term, that is correct.” The Heavenly Demon Queen felt the statement was off, but for some reason, Yang Xu gave a nod, as if in understanding for some reason.

    *Knock knock knock*

Before they knew it, the Twins had their room doors both knocked at the same time.

“Sister, you too?” Yang Ji asked.

“Yeah. I wonder what it’s about.” Yang Xu stood up and walked towards the door, opening at the exact same time at Yang Ji.

To their surprise, there was no one there. However, upon opening the door, they could see that there were already students gathered at the platform, on the ground floor.

“Oh? A day has already passed. I did not even realise it… guess it’s time to gather.” Yang Ji said, as both he and Yang Ji leaped from the fourth floor down to the ground floor, quickly joining the gathered students.

Naturally, their actions sparked a lot of attention. However, no one said two words about it. Only Li Wu Yi reminded, “Okay, seems like the last pair has finally arrived. A reminder to everyone here, if you are going to enter secluded cultivation, remember to tell us first before you enter your room to activate the Isolation Array. Also, turn your room number over. Since today is the first day, I will not deliver any punishment. But going forward, I expect everyone to act in accordance with the rules.”

Li Wu Yi specifically eyed the Twins when he said the last part. However, knowing them, he kept his expectations low.

“Since we are already running late, I will be teleporting all students to the classroom. But, that’s only for today. From tomorrow onwards, you would need to travel down yourselves.” Li Wu Yi said and with a wave of his hand, students on the platform were instantly transported away. He even took it upon himself to transport Xu Yi to the classroom.

    There, class officially starts.

And that was also where class ended.

However, not like it mattered because to Yang Ji and Yang Xu, they hardly remember what was being mentioned. Instead of listening to Li Wu Yi on his first lecture, they had been talking to each other the whole time. After all, this class was truly too rudimentary for them.

Also, since the Twins were not making a ruckus, and seemed to be awake, though staring blankly forward like their Souls were away, Li Wu Yi just let them be. After all, even he knew that the things he was teaching them were a little too basic. He was already happy that they were not sleeping in his class.

Li Wu Yi had given much thought on how he could teach them. Unfortunately, he could not come up with much. The Twins were on their own path, and he, as their teacher, found it hard to actually teach them when their bar was already so high. In fact, it was more accurate to say that the Twins were at a level where they could hold discussions about the Dao, rather than him teaching.

At the end of the first day of class, Li Wu Yi could feel it keenly that these two were not going to fit into this class, like their Parents had hoped. So, he eyed Xu Yi, but the man only returned with a shake of his head.

[So, you are out of ideas too, huh?] Li Wu Yi gave a sigh in his heart as he finally asked, “Any final questions?”

At this point, for the other students, the contents of his class was already far more than enough for most of them to ruminate over for a month. Some, who already understood, could take this as a refresher. However, many had plenty of questions to ask. Surprisingly though, the first ones to raise their hands were not these students but the Twins.

[Huh? They were listening? Or were they just waiting for the class to end to ask me something?]  Li Wu Yi thought and then said, “Yang Ji, since you were the first one to raise your hand, then I’ll answer your question first.”

Yang Ji straightforwardly said the thing that he and Yang Xu had been pondering over since yesterday, “How does one control Space without the Void?”

Li Wu Yi was taken aback by this question. Like he thought, the Twins were at a level where they could have a discussion about the Dao of Space. However, at this point, this question was not really helpful to the other students in the class and in fact could be a detriment if they focus too much on it. So, he directed them to talk after class and gave the opportunity to the other students.
