Chapter 6080, Just What Have You Done?

“Moreover, there remains a matter of utmost significance that appears to have escaped your collective notice, by what means does he exercise his power within this place?” The Heavenly Demon Queen’s words struck to the heart of the matter.
“Wait, we can’t use Qi here?” Yang Ji seemed confused. After all, he did not feel any restriction on his Qi circulation here. In fact, he also doubted his Sister felt any different. They did just collapse the Space here, after all.
Yang Xu’s eyes immediately turn sharp. She stared daggers at the Heavenly Demon Queen, “You must have done something to the Array, didn’t you?”
“A keen observation, as expected. You are right. I have made certain arrangements that we three shall encounter no impediments whatsoever. Fear not, the Array continues to function precisely as designed. Only we are granted this particular exemption.” The Heavenly Demon Queen stated as though she did nothing wrong. In fact, from her tone, she was expecting the Twins to show their gratitude.
“So that’s why you were out for the whole night! How did you even mess with an Array so deep underground!!? Argh! Father is going to kill us if they find out about it!” Yang Xu felt like she wanted to cry at this moment. She and her Brother did nothing wrong, yet this chaos incarnate was here to drag them to the pits of Hell.
“Calm down. We didn’t do it. Mother and Father will surely understand.” Yang Ji, at the side added. His concern lay elsewhere, namely, that boy who had disappeared right in front of them. He had faith in the Heavenly Demon Queen, despite her personality flaws. She was not one to boast about feats she could not have accomplished. She had a certain ‘pride’ to her.
This was also a public place, where both mortals and cultivators might cross paths. It was unlike the classroom or their Dormitory, where only cultivators were allowed. So, the Grand Array below was surely going to prevent them from using Qi here.
Yang Ji stood there and scanned the scene again, trying to locate the boy. However, he still found nothing. [Seriously, how did he manage to disappear like that? A Movement Technique? Can someone so weak actually use a Movement Technique that can bypass our senses, even without using Qi?]
While they were considering various things, they had forgotten how such a ruckus failed to attract any attention?
“Wait. Someone’s coming.” Yang Xu immediately exclaimed as she looked towards the source.
Obviously, it was a teacher, who had moved due to the commotion they had caused. Since even Yang Xu could see the person, they must have spotted them as well.
“Okay, let’s get out of here first.” Since there was nothing else to do here, Yang Ji gave a nod, and he quickly tore Space again, leaving in the blink of an eye, taking both Yang Xu and the Heavenly Demon Queen with him.
When they had already disappeared, the teacher landed on the ground and then scanned the surrounding devastation–walls in tatters, floors no longer traversable, and scenery destroyed.
“How is this possible?” The teacher took out his Token and deactivated it using his Divine Sense. Soon, he felt his body turn sluggish, Qi unable to circulate. Even moving an arm took a noticeable effort compared to before. “The Array is still working. How had two students managed to not be affected by this?”
This teacher was in the Dao Seal Realm, and even this Grand Array had a great effect on him. So, how was it conceivable for two youths to circumvent its effects?
“I need to tell the Principal about this.” The teacher soon reactivated his Token and poured his Divine Sense into it, transmitting a message to the Disciplinary Board.
With the Space Principles here in a huge mess, it was obvious who the perpetrators of this incident were, not to mention how he had already spotted the Twins. The Principal had also given out special instructions that anything to do with his Children should first be reported to the Disciplinary Board.
“It’s only the first day, and they have already caused trouble. No wonder the Principal had warned all of us about them…” The teacher commented and looked back at the devastation, shaking his head.
…
The Twins naturally went back to the place which was most familiar to them, which was their room. More specifically, Yang Ji had brought them directly into his room. This was naturally crossing the line of another rule, which was no girls were allowed in the male building, but at this moment, neither Twins were really that concerned about this.
“*Phew* I think we got away.” Yang Ji said, but Yang Xu just sighed, resigned to her fate.
“Brother, it was obviously us. No one in the School, besides the teachers, could manipulate Space Principles to that degree.”
“Yeah, I know. But, being questioned by a teacher would be worse than being directly questioned by Mother or Father.” Yang Ji was still convinced they would not get punished since they had not really done anything wrong. He believes he would be able to explain things if they could just meet up with the Parents, rather than get punished by a teacher they did not know. After all, their Mother Su Yan had told them to not easily expose the Heavenly Demon Queen’s existence.
“Anyways, what’s important isn’t that. What’s important is that boy.” Yang Ji now directed his attention to the Heavenly Demon Queen, who was basically hovering around him with a nonchalant expression. “Who is he?”
“He is known by the name Ye Lun, a soul bereft of parentage. Reportedly of the same age as you two. Also, of no association.” The Heavenly Demon Queen answered like it was nothing.
“Wait, how do you even know all of this?” Yang Xu could not help but feel like her head was going to blow. [How could she possibly overhear such details? She must have looked through the teacher’s student list.]
[It has already been a day and she has already caused so much chaos. What’s worse is that no one can punish her! We would be blamed for everything she did!] If eyes could kill, Yang Xu’s eyes would be the epitome of it. She stared at the little worm as she wished to run a stake through her ten thousand times. However, this raised an even more concerning issue in her mind.
“Just what have you done last night!?” Yang Xu pointed and asked, almost clenching her jaws from anger.
However, in contrast, the Heavenly Demon Queen played coy, “To divulge such matters at this juncture would merely spoil the revelation that awaits. I can offer only this assurance: the academic life that lies before you both shall prove most… intriguing. However, I must counsel you with utmost gravity to remain ever vigilant for that particular man. He poses a threat of considerable magnitude, not solely to yourselves, but even to your esteemed Father.”
“Even to Father?” Yang Ji, who remained calm despite his Sister’s rage, fell into disbelief. “Impossible. Father is the strongest. Besides, if he is that strong, then he would not need to escape from us.”
“You may choose to heed my counsel or dismiss it as you see fit. The warning has been delivered, and my duty fulfilled. In any case, I have labored through the entirety of the night. The hour has come for me to take my rest.” The Heavenly Demon Queen simply shrugged. She did not even care about the girl staring daggers at her, as she nonchalantly dove straight into Yang Ji, disappearing from sight. In fact, even when Yang Xu screamed at her, using her Divine Sense or otherwise, the Heavenly Demon Queen did not respond.
“She dares to throw all this crap at us and run away!?” Yang Xu clenched her fist, almost ready to kill. She had never felt this spiteful towards someone, ever.
“Calm down. I know she has caused a lot of problems, but I don’t think she means any harm.” Yang Ji said as he moved to pet her head.
However, Yang Xu, who would normally enjoy such intimate acts, swiped his arm away and questioned, “Why are you even supporting her so much!? She has already caused us so many problems, and has gotten us into trouble. Ever since she came, you’ve always been taking her side.”
“But, she hasn’t really caused us any trouble. And besides, she is our pet… I guess pet is not right anymore. Our friend. We can’t really leave her alone, right?” Yang Ji sighed.
However, contrary to his words, his door was soon knocked on…
“Yang Ji, the Disciplinary Board is here. Come out right now.” A voice of great authority soon ran out, a familiar voice, which seemed able to pass through even the Isolation Arrays, if they were up and running.
“See! I told you!” Yang Xu stomped her feet and cursed, [All because of that little shit!]
