“Father, you can’t be serious. I’m about the same age as Lei Ao. All I did was pass him some of my insights into the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time. I didn’t really do much else. Why am I now considered to be his Master? That just doesn’t make sense.” Yang Ji expressed his doubts.

“Yeah, that doesn’t make any sense. Aunt Hu Mei’er and Aunt Hu Jiao’er also shared some of their insights as Twins with us. You, Aunt Yang Xue and Uncle Yang Xiao also taught us about the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time. Yet, we do not have a Master-Disciple relationship with anyone.” Yang Xu added.

Yang Kai gave a heavy sigh. Their past actions had come back to bite them. In a way, they had distorted their children’s view of what was normal.

Even within a Sect, sharing one’s insight with someone else would make the former a Half-Master. Typically, if one did not already have a Master, the person sharing their insight would directly take the latter as their Personal Disciple.

This should not be confused with insights widely shared around. If an insight was shared to the public, that would just be the share of knowledge from a Senior to Junior. Furthermore, such insights would not contain the truly deep understanding of the Master.

Naturally, as Yang Xu had said, typically, Hu Mei’er and Hu Jiao’er would have been considered the Twins’ Masters. After all, they shared insights to their peculiar bond and shared cultivation. Furthermore, they were within the same Sect, High Heaven Palace, and held the same position as Qiu Yi Meng, all being Elders. Thus, no one would deny their position as the Twins’ Masters.

However, the two Sisters were the ones who turned down Yang Kai’s offer to have them become the Twins’ Masters. According to them, they felt that they would not be able to teach the Twins much, and were unconfident about being their Masters. Gaining that position would just be taking advantage of the Twins’ talent and status, as Young Master and Young Mistress of High Heaven Palace.

In fact, Yang Xiao and Yang Xue had all tried to teach the Twins. However, they too felt inadequate to be their Master. If even those two felt inadequate, then who else in the world could take them in? Yang Kai might be able to but he was already their Father. He need not be recognised to be their Master, which was technically a lower position (in Chinese culture).

Due to this incident, and since the Twins were the Eldest amongst the Children, no one in High Heaven Palace sought to take them in as Disciples. With them basically being contained within High Heaven Palace’s Starry Sky Palace, Yang Hao and the rest still did not have their own Masters. Instead, they took in insights shared to them by their Father, who basically mastered all 3,000 Daos.

Naturally, for Yang Kai’s children, it was inevitable that such blatant ‘pampering’ had caused them to have some misunderstandings.

It should be said that if Yang Ji had merely shared some surface insight, this whole conundrum would not have occurred.

The issue was, Yang Ji had shared insight of both the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time simultaneously. Both Daos were obscure and it was hard to even catch a glimpse of understanding from either. Understanding of such Daos was so rare that Red Clouds Cave Heaven had even sent their Young Master to High Heaven Academy just to receive teachings from other experts in this field.

Even so, experts who had explored both fields were insanely rare. Even Yang Kai’s three Disciples only took on one Dao. How many in the world had actually stepped their toes into two of such obscure Daos?

Worse yet, Yang Ji had imparted his insight into balancing the two Daos, utilising them simultaneously.

Even if Yang Kai were to claim that what they shared was nothing significant, would Red Clouds Cave Heaven accept it?

Besides, the Cave Heaven Master of Red Clouds Cave Heaven had other goals when he personally came down with his Wife to meet Yang Kai.

Red Clouds Cave Heaven was well known to run Auction Houses across the 3,000 Worlds. In short, their very nature was that of mercantilism. To them, any trade must be a fair one, especially when dealing with the apex High Heaven Palace. So, having his Son being granted such an opportunity, the Cave Heaven Master felt the need to repay Yang Ji in some way.

Though, that might just be all smoke and mirrors. After all, old-foxes like these were sure to scheme. It had been easy to tell that the Red Clouds Cave Heaven Master took this opportunity to push for the Master-Disciple status, to tie Red Clouds Cave Heaven to the ascendant High Heaven Palace.

That man did not even say anything about his Son being in a coma. He also had no qualms in putting his Son under Yang Ji, no qualms about being of the same status as Yang Ji, since one would be the Father and the other would be the Master of Lei Ao.

When Yang Kai first heard of how Yang Ji was now Lei Ao’s Master, the corner of his lip could not help but twitch. He even internally cursed at how this old-fox was so shameless.

Worse yet, Yang Kai could not do much to refute. After all, due to the usual convention of the world, others would indeed see Yang Ji and Lei Ao’s Master after this. Other Cave Heaven and Paradises would also not stand by his side in this.

Why? Because this presented an opportunity to tie themselves to one of Yang Kai’s children!

Be it if they shared their insight to them, or the children shared their insight to someone within their Sect, was this not another avenue they could exploit?

When Yang Kai explained all of this to the Twins, he could not help but press his temple once Yang Ji answered.

“But Father, all I gave is really just superficial insights. It is nothing major. At his level, Sister and I would just need a day to break free. I’ve even taken into consideration he was on Yang Hao’s level when sharing my insights.” Yang Ji stated in indignation, as though the world had been the one in the wrong for accusing him.

However, Yang Kai explained, “*Haa…* How many times must I say this, you cannot use you and your Sibilins as benchmarks. You two might take a day but Lei Ao still hasn’t woken up even after a month has passed. I estimate he won’t be able to wake up for another year… and the more time he takes to break free, the more inclined the others will view you as his Master.”

“Then, I can just wake him up.” Yang Ji said coldly, like it did not matter if his plan was ruined. After all, better to avoid the awkwardness of having a Disciple the same age as him then be provided with some fun adventure.

“My boy, this is an opportunity for him. Are you really going to take it away? I can speak for the rest of your Mothers, that we will stand by you if you do not wish to take him in as your Disciple. But, as Mothers, we do not wish to see you destroy another child’s opportunity just because of a whim. That would be far too cruel.” Su Yan suddenly gently spoke.

What she did not say was that sudden disruptions one while in the state of enlightenment might cause a tragic backlash, and Lei Ao might even get crippled. If that happened, her Son would bear the burden of crippling an innocent young child. This was not something any Mother would want.

“Husband, matters of Master and Disciple relations cannot be taken lightly. We cannot allow our Son to be used in such a manner.” Su Yan stated. However, it just made Yang Kai sigh.

“I naturally agree with you. But, what else can we do?” Yang Kai said,

It was then that Yang Ji came up with a brilliant idea. “Father, why don’t I just share the same insights to everyone? You said that insights shared to the public would be recognised as nothing special, right?”

Yang Kai immediately shook his head. Even Su Yan paled a little at the thought. After all, what Yang Ji was proposing he was willing to do was to force more children into a coma!

Then, Yang Xu added, supporting her Brother. “Yeah. Mom said that this is an opportunity to Lei Ao. Why don’t we give this opportunity to everyone? If everyone receives this insight, then it would no longer be anything special. Then, no one can pressure my Brother to take in a Disciple.”

Yang Kai looked at Su Yan, and Su Yan looked back at him. What the children said did indeed make sense. This would certainly solve the problem. However, the price would be as the Principal, Yang Kai would be allowing who knows how many children to suddenly be bedridden for who knows how long…

At this point, the silence in the room was suffocating. Su Yan seemed to have made a decision and suddenly gave a nod, “Why not? Husband, you’ve already shared some of your insights into the different Daos with the Arrays setup inside each student’s room. Yes, our boy has shared far more than what you have in the two Daos, but why not think of it as an advanced class or a special class? It can even be an elective. If we make this the norm, then no one would say anything.”

Su Yan looked at her two precious babies, “We did tell our children to teach Lei Ao. We can say Lei Ao wanted to learn from them as well, so he has received this ‘elective class’. When he wakes up, I’m sure he too would not want his Master to be of the same age as him. So, I’m sure he would play along.”

Yang Ji quickly gave a nod and excitedly added, “Father, you can also tell Red Clouds Cave Heaven that Lei Ao is our good friend. That’s why we let him take this advanced class first. Tell them that I wish to go to their Auction Houses one day. That way, we would still have a connection between High Heaven Palace and Red Clouds Cave Heaven.”

Yang Xu also added, “En. I will also help!”

Yang Kai looked at the three and sighed. He did expect that being a Principle would be hard work, but to think his own children would be the cause of most of the stress.

Unfortunately, though this was a great plan, he still had to consult with the teachers. After all, this was stepping into their domain. There were also teachers like Li Wu Yi, who became a teacher because he was looking for a Disciple. Passing on deep insights like this would be detrimental to his plan. So, Yang Kai had to tread carefully here.

“Okay. I will think about it. For now, you two should just return back to your room.” Yang Kai said.

However, that was when Yang Ji spoke up. “Wait. Father, I need to ask you something.”
