“It’s probably a Boss.” Lu Fan moved closer for a careful examination, discovering obvious traces of Ice Element Skill Attacks on these Red Ghosts.

Clearly, whoever had acted has mastery over the Ice Element.

Moreover, so many Red Ghosts appeared to have been directly killed instantly by a single Ice Element Skill. Such strength could only belong to a Boss.

Only a Boss could possess power far exceeding that of ordinary Monsters on the same Map, capable of effortlessly killing so many Red Ghosts in one strike.

Regardless, Lu Fan knew that this Boss had to be nearby.

Lu Fan naturally would not pass up such an opportunity to gain massive Experience Points.

A single Boss’s Experience Points equaled dozens of Red Ghost packs.

Red Ghosts were originally not as numerous as White Ghosts, so having finally encountered a Boss, Lu Fan naturally would not let it easily slip away.

After all, he was heading to the Frost Dragon Ruins anyway. This was Experience Points he could collect along the way.

Lu Fan commanded Xing Chen to advance once more, hoping to quickly encounter whatever Boss had slaughtered the Red Ghosts.

After flying for approximately another half hour, Lu Fan suddenly heard sounds from ahead. It was not merely the howling of the wind and snow, but also the sounds of combat, mixed with roars of Red Ghosts.

[Something is fighting Red Ghosts? The Boss must be there!] Lu Fan was delighted, immediately ordering Xing Chen to accelerate, passing through layers of wind and snow toward the source of the sounds.

The sounds originated from a depression, like a valley formed between two moderately high snow mountains.

When Lu Fan reached the mountain peak, he saw the depression packed full of Red Ghosts. They were so numerous they filled the entire valley.

This appeared to be the dwelling place of an exceptionally large Red Ghost pack. The number of Red Ghosts here exceeded any pack he had seen outside. There were over three hundred Red Ghosts gathered in this one location.

Each Red Ghost in the valley displayed fierce expressions, releasing Skills, continuously bombarding a figure in the sky above.

This directed Lu Fan’s gaze and attention to that figure in mid-air, constantly darting and weaving while periodically unleashing powerful Ice Element Skills to attack the Red Ghosts below.

Upon seeing this Monster, Lu Fan’s eyes could not help but light up.

Because this Monster was truly beautiful.

Lu Fan had assumed that Monsters on the Despair Ice Plains would all resemble the Red and White Ghosts, calling them hideous was already praising them.

Yet this Monster appeared like a Unicorn, its entire body was covered in satin-like fur, with a pair of crystal-like wings spread from its back.

As the wings beat, fine ice crystals scattered like diamonds, emanating glowing points of light. It was a truly spectacular sight to behold.

This was also the appearance of a ‘Winged-Unicorn’ that Lu Fan had envisioned in his mind.

In terms of beauty, Lu Fan had truly never seen any Monster more stunning than this.

Of course, Pet Dragon like Xiao Ye did not count. They were not Monsters. After all, viewing Giant Dragons in their Battle Form, no Monster in the world could possibly compare to them.

This ‘Unicorn’ Monster’s beauty was beautiful from an entirely different perspective.

Lu Fan hurriedly used Appraisal to examine this Monster’s Attributes, though the results were somewhat disappointing.

This was a Monster called ‘Ice Crystal Beast’. Its Attributes were decent and it excelled at various Ice Element Magic Attack Skills.

This type of Monster was similar to the White and Red Ghosts. It had no obvious weaknesses in its All Four Attributes, holding even greater advantages in terms of Magic Attack.

It was a Level 120 Monster, and moreover a Gold Grade Boss, with Attributes far superior to the Red Ghosts.

Although the Red Ghost pack below represented a force that could not be easily ignored, they were clearly far from capable of beating this Ice Crystal Beast.

The Skills released by the Red Ghosts were easily dodged by the Ice Crystal Beast.

Even when the Ice Crystal Beast could not dodge, it could casually summon an ice shield to block attacks, suffering no injury whatsoever.

Conversely, whenever its Skills struck down, they caused massive casualties amongst the Red Ghosts.

One could say the Ice Crystal Beast had completely sealed the Red Ghosts within this valley, slowly whittling them down, intending to gradually wear the Red Ghosts to death.

Lu Fan felt somewhat disappointed because although the Ice Crystal Beast was strong, it was ultimately just a Gold Grade Boss. Even if its Attributes and Combat Power was comparable to a Level 120 Platinum Grade Boss, its Grade determined that killing it would not yield the abundant Experience Points he had hoped for.

Lu Fan sighed, thinking he might as well kill both this Ice Crystal Beast and the entire valley of Red Ghosts to earn the Experience Points, then continue toward the Frost Dragon Ruins.

Suddenly, his eyes brightened, as he suddenly noticed that on the Ice Crystal Beast’s Attribute Panel, there was clearly a Passive: Human Affinity.

Human Affinity (Passive – Ice Crystal Beasts possess natural affinity toward Humans, preferring to remain beside beautiful women and become their Extra Pet. Once they become an Extra Pet, the Ice Crystal Beast’s Level reduces to match that of the Player. They can also be summoned as Pets, and can be ridden as a Mount When being Ridden on, they would add 50% of their own Attributes to the Player’s Attributes, and can attack alongside the Player.

[Heaven, I was about to overlook such a Passive!] When Lu Fan truly understood the Skill details, it made him sharply gasp!

[To think they are collectible as Pets! Moreover, they function as Extra Pet! That means they don’t even occupy a slot in our Pet Sub-Space, and they had no Profession Requirements!]

[This is ridiculous. This meant that even Mages, Assassins, those Professions that lack Pet Sub-Spaces could still collect them as Pets to enhance their Combat Power! Furthermore, the Buff they provide is an absolute qualitative leap.]

[They could be Ridden, able to fly, and possessed several Ice Element Skills! Since most of their Skills are Ice Element Crowd Control Skills, one could say they covered both Damage Output and Crowd Control. With such a Pet, any Profession would be immensely strengthened! In comparison, the Griffin Legion’s Griffins are truly lacklustre…]

To be fair, Lu Fan was right. Most Griffins did not even reach Level 100, while the Ice Crystal Beast was a Level 120 Gold Grade Boss!

Even after becoming a Pet, with their Level matching their Master, amongst Pets at the same Level, their strength would still be top-tier!
