“Yes!” Everyone understood the urgency. Should Elder Jin suffer any misfortune in that space, Dragon Country simply couldn’t bear such consequences.

Just as they prepared to mobilise, the space suddenly trembled.

Immediately following, an explosive *Bang!* shattered the air. When Elder Jin had entered the Array, space fractured. Elder Jin flew out, sliding backwards several metres before barely stopping.

He remained in his combat stance, though golden blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Through the Space Rift, everyone glimpsed a massive eyeball standing in another dimension, gazing at them through the fissure.

Below the eyeball extended numerous tentacles, continuously writhing.

Such a grotesque being caused everyone to nearly forget to breathe. Simultaneously, a woman’s voice transmitted from that other world.

“Don’t try to pursue me. I am not your enemy!”

After speaking, the Space Rift began healing.

Seeing this, Elder Jin immediately prepared to charge through again, but Elder Lu intervened. “Old Jin, don’t be impulsive. Let it go!”

Elder Jin indeed restrained himself. Moments later, the Space Rift completely healed. Attempting to enter that other world and locate the entity had become utterly hopeless.

Elder Jin sighed, extinguishing all his flames and returning to his normal Human appearance.

The area now lay in complete disarray.

However, the threat of that Ancient God’s remains had been eliminated. The Lost Lands Research Centre had also been saved.

Elder Jin strode to Elder Lu’s side, surveying everyone. “Is everyone alright?”

“The crisis is over. Everyone, return to your duties and clean this place up. Don’t forget, relevant personnel must submit reports documenting today’s incident and our total losses.”

Everyone raised no objections. Seeing Elder Lu also wave dismissively, everyone dispersed to clean the devastation.

This gave Elder Jin the opportunity to speak privately with Elder Lu.

“What exactly was that thing just now?”

Elder Lu shook his head, angling his body slightly, indicating Elder Jin should accompany him to the laboratory’s dedicated reception hall.

Walking side by side, Elder Lu spoke, “I don’t know either. I suspect it’s an Ancient God. Otherwise, how could it fight against that Ancient God’s remains?”

Elder Jin nodded. “I also suspect it’s an Ancient God. Moreover, one we currently do not know of!”

Pausing, he continued gravely, “But this is truly strange. An Ancient God is actually helping us. Don’t you find this incredibly improbable?”

Elder Lu responded, “’Improbable’ indeed. What’s more, it seems to possess extensive knowledge of us. At minimum, it’s intimately familiar with the Lost Lands and must be monitoring this location in real-time. Otherwise, it couldn’t have appeared immediately upon the incident occurring.”

“If this is accurate, it’s terrifying. Dragon Country likely holds no secrets from this Ancient God. The sole consolation is that it genuinely appears to harbour no malice towards us, perhaps even intends to help us.”

Elder Jin scoffed dismissively. “How can an Ancient God’s words be trusted?”

Pausing, he added, “Regardless, we must guard against it. That’s why I wanted to pursue it and uncover its true identity. If we could locate its hiding place, we might eliminate the danger while still in its cradle.”

As if remembering something, Elder Jin asked, “When you went into the other side of the Transport Array, did you identify the location?”

Elder Jin shook his head. “No. It appeared to be a Secret Realm or a Dungeon Instance. In any case, it is not part of the real world. That world was utterly desolate. The earth and sky were purple, inhabited by many beings similar to those insects, though various species existed.”

“That eyeball you witnessed is one such being. Its eyeball releases certain Skills with extremely high Damage. Even defending with my Golden Crow Form, I sustained actual injuries. If a single Monster possessed such capabilities, and all that world’s Monsters invaded the real world, the consequences would be truly unimaginable…”

Hearing this, Elder Lu felt a chill down his spine. “Would it become like the Far North?”

After consideration, Elder Jin stated with certainty, “More or less. Though numerically inferior to the Far North, its threat level is not all that different. I suspect it’s an Ancient God with a very high degree of awakening. It is just that its goal still remains a mystery.”

Elder Lu nodded. “Indeed… Since the Ancient Gods appeared, far too many unreasonable occurrences have emerged in this world.”

“Oh, Old Jin, I have something else to tell you.”

    “Hmm?”

“Regarding the ice-sealed Ancient God’s remains. We’ve discovered a weakness. Your Profession Characteristics appear to somewhat counter it.”

Elder Jin expressed great delight. “Really?! Meaning when that Ancient God appears, I can contribute meaningfully, with some possibility of killing it?”

Elder Lu clarified, “Killing it isn’t certain. I merely mean that compared to another person of equal strength, you pose a greater threat to that Ancient God. Should that Ancient God truly appear, we’ll likely need you to step in.”

“Haha, then I’m deeply honoured!” Elder Jin laughed heartily. Even facing such tremendously dangerous existences as Ancient Gods couldn’t inspire any fear within him.

“What about the other Ancient Gods? Have you discovered methods to counter it?”

Elder Lu smiled awkwardly, shaking his head. “Not yet…”

“Ancient Gods exist beyond this world’s Principles. They possess no discernible weaknesses whatsoever. Defeating them will likely require even more extensive research…”

Elder Jin didn’t press the matter, instead agreeing wholeheartedly. “Still, according to the latest intelligence, Ancient Gods exist above that of even Divine Beings. Finding no weaknesses is perfectly normal. Also, these Ancient Gods aren’t invincible. You’ve heard Dragon Country’s Spark has already killed two Ancient Gods, right? I believe the sole method for defeating the Ancient Gods is eliminating them before they awaken. We need to eliminate them all during this phase.”

“Only Dragon Country’s Spark can accomplish this. Or perhaps…” Elder Jin’s eyes narrowed, battle intent blazing. “After I acquire a Divine Seat myself.”
