At the gates of Celestia Holy Land, where grand sceneries were beautified by drifting clouds, Gu Changge and Yao Yao finally arrived after a rich journey. During the journey, he took his role of a mentor quite seriously. Although it wasn’t enjoyable, he committed himself to it, making sure there wasn’t a flaw in his act.

Yao Yao might not be able to cultivate, but that was no problem since he, as the cheap mentor he was, instead, took her on a trip through the grand mountains, ravishing rivers, and ancient sacred cities while leaving traces behind at the same time. Simultaneously, he made her realise that despite her inability to cultivate, as long as he, as her mentor, was with her, no one would dare to bully her.

Under Gu Changge’s lead, having travelled across numerous ancient forbidden areas and ancient Mystic Mountains, Yao Yao grew attached to Gu Changge as he was the nicest person she knew. Even Grandma Yin Hua, who was tagging along, had her eyes opened with the exposure to the outside world and grew envious of Yao Yao.

Under Gu Changge’s care, Yao Yao perceived him as the closest person to her. She even felt that her brother wasn’t as delicate as her mentor, though the former remained important to her given that they, along with Grandma Yin Hua, had lived through countless years together.

Naturally, Gu Changge was aware of that, so he wasn’t exactly concerned.

At that mmiasmat, he was staring at the wondrous, magnificent ancient holy land with his uncanny eyes while holding Yao Yao’s hand. In his eyes, the fortunes and fate of the Celestia Holy Land was changing at an erratic pace, much like the motion of a dragon. Some time ago, he thought the Fortuity of the holy land was waning, but in the blink of an eye, it was rising once again, which could only mean that something within the holy land was changing according to nature’s order.

[Could the Mortal One’s reincarnation be causing the change? It seems the Mortal One’s reincarnation isn’t just the Fortuitous One, but also the Realmmaster of the Heavenly Star Realm.] Different guesses flashed across Gu Changge’s mind.

With his figure covered in ambiguity, it was as though he was standing in a different world. His garment of wide sleeves was as vibrant as the moonl; his hair swaying along with celestial aura; his face was surrounded with outworldly mists that evoked acquiescence.

“Y-Yes, Immortal. Our man is reporting your arrival as we speak.” Peering at him, a group of disciples of Celestia Holy Land stuttered with their trembling voice as they could hardly stand still.

None of them expected the frightening Immortal mentioned in the rumours across the Sky Domain would personally come to Celestia Holy Land through the gates of their Sect. As such, they were filled with shock, dread, perturbation, and all sorts of complex emotions. Essentially, it was said that the Immortal had lately journeyed through innumerable forbidden areas, ancient Mystic Mountains with a few individuals, demanding numberless items and executing anyone that dared disobey him. His presence everywhere was absolutely domineering.

As a matter of fact, the ancient beings that dwelled in Ethereal Mystic Mountains, who caused several abysmal disturbances that intimidated countless forces and living beings, were annihilated by the Immortal.

And now, him bringing along the little girl to Celestia Holy Land must mean that he had plans for it. Bearing that in mind, the disciples feared that their own Sect wouldn’t be able to contain the Immortal, unless the daunting legacy of their Prime Ancestor awakened.

“What’s wrong? You look worried coming here.” All of a sudden, Gu Changge asked with a smile, ignoring the disciples of Celestia Holy Land right in front of him.

Feeling the chilliness on Yao Yao’s hand, he asked the question, though he already knew the answer. In fact, during their travels, he captured and interrogated a number of disciples of Celestia Holy Land and obtained information regarding the little girl’s brother, Jiang Yang.

As of now, Jiang Yang’s position in Celestia Holy Land was indispensable, trumping that of Saints and Saintesses. Contrary to Yao Yao’s expectation, her brother was living lavishly without any issues or difficulties. As for the reason he didn’t return to the village to pay her and their grandmother a visit, that was no longer important. It was either he was drowned in prosperity and forgot about them, or he was too occupied to make the time to see them.

During that time, Gu Changge could vaguely sense the Mortal One’s reincarnation has a gradual decrease in Fortuity, which was transferred to him, and the System’s notification also hinted that his inference was correct.

Upon Gu Changge’s insinuations, Yao Yao grew slightly disappointed with her brother. Grandma Yin Hua, who understood Jiang Yang very well, too, was disaffected by the thought of Jiang Yang’s change.

“Master, do you think Brother forgot about me and Granny?” Yao Yao softly asked Gu Changge.

“Of course not! He must be too busy cultivating, so he doesn’t have the time to see you,” Gu Changge answered in a tender tone as he caressed the little girl’s head.

“Master, you don’t have to comfort me. Brother used to be different. He’s changed…” Yao Yao sounded unhappy, remembering how Grandma Yin Hua used to tell her that a person’s mind was unpredictable, and there was no telling what would happen as time passed; compared to a normal person’s life, the life of a cultivator was full of enticements.

During her journey with Gu Changge, she encountered all sorts of riches, and she couldn’t help but be tempted despite her age. Therefore, it was only reasonable that her brother would be blinded by such prosperity.

Regardless, Yao Yao still hoped that she could see him for herself for reassurance, so she could leave with her master at ease. Furthermore, Gu Changge had been by her side for quite a while, so she didn’t wish to burden him any longer.

[It seems the Mortal One’s reincarnation’s memories have awakened, or things wouldn’t have turned out this way. And here I thought I’d need to give it a push. Alas, things already simplified themselves for me.] Looking at Yao Yao’s expression, Gu Changge laughed in heart as he sank into his thoughts, though he retained composure on his face.

*Zoom! Zoom!* Divine rainbows flashed through the sky in the mountains before them, followed by intimidating auras. Leading a number of Elders, the Celestia Archbishop appeared with a suppressing aura surrounding his sturdy body. With their thunderous, startling voice that echoed through the mountains, they welcomed Gu Changge.

“Greetings, Immortal! Your arrival is of utmost honour to us. The Sect shall prosper at your presence! We wish for your generous forgiveness upon our negligence. But that begs the question—to what do we owe the pleasure?” The Archbishop’s gratifying, respectful voice arrived before he did.

Clueless cultivators outside Celestia Holy Land widened their eyes out of shock at the sight, oblivious to what was happening.

On the other hand, unaffected, Grandma Yin Hua and Yao Yao were already used to such a situation since, wherever Gu Changge brought them, they were treated with such ingratiation, wherein even the most celebrated cultivators almost got on their knees.

“Let’s go meet your brother.”

Gu Changge held Yao Yao’s tiny hand. At a swing of an arm, the many arrays and seals before them were completely dispelled as they walked in without paying any attention to the people of Celestia Holy Land. After all, there was no reason for the almighty Immortal to be bothered by any lowly cultivators.

In the meantime, the Elders of Celestia Holy Land could only leer at him with their unctuous eyes as none of them dared to stop him from entering their territory.

“Immortal, excuse me, but…” The Celestia Archbishop, a cultivator in the Sacred Realm, came to his senses and changed his expression as he intended to ask about the purpose of Gu Changge’s visit.

“I am here to see Jiang Yang,” Gu Changge said as he glanced at the Archbishop.

[Jiang Yang!? But why Jiang Yang? What is so special about him that his name is spoken by the Immortal?] Hearing that, the Elders of Celestia Holy Land and the Celestia Archbishop were left stunned as they widened their eyes in stupefaction.

[That little girl was the one I saw back in the village…] Qing Gui recognised Yao Yao. Although she looked totally different, unlike how she used to be covered in mud, her aura remained the same.

[Did the Immortal only come to Celestia Holy Land for the little girl’s sake? I must be blind to have missed the uniqueness of the little girl!] Thinking that, Qing Gui widened his eyes as he was filled with disconcertment.

[Anyway, Jiang Yang is the older brother of this little girl! No wonder he has been so fortunate. Not only did he gain the favour of the Elders, but even his sister met such a terrifying Immortal! Judging by the connection, he just might be able to speak with the Immortal and build a relationship with him!!] Qing Gui grew more jealous the more he pondered.

Noticing Qing Gui’s expression, the Celestia Archbishop hastily eyed him.

At once, Qing Gui regained his senses as he immediately informed the Archbishop about everything he knew between Jiang Yang and the Immortal.

“There’s such a connection?” The Celestia Archbishop was delighted upon the information. He never expected the little girl beside Gu Changge to be someone so close to Jiang Yang, and she was his younger sister at that. [How the gods have blessed Celestia Holy Land!]

“Jiang Yang is currently cultivating in the holy land, and every Elder treats him with respect. Be it his aptitude or talents, he is certainly an unrivalled young talent. Perhaps Jiang Yang will be succeeding my position as the Archbishop of Celestia Holy Land in a few years time and lead the holy land towards glory.” With that, the Celestia Archbishop respectfully stated as he welcomed Gu Changge through the gates.

Naturally, he would say anything to polish Jiang Yang’s image at that mmiasmat, and of course, he wouldn’t dare to bring up how Jiang yang was once sent to be a slave some time ago.

“Oh, is that so?” Gu Changge calmly nodded as his eyes grew deeper; none could tell how he was feeling.

However, Yao Yao, who was beside Gu Changge, could feel that he was somewhat angered, and that somehow alleviated her sorrow. She figured that upon the words of the Celestia Archbishop, her master was vexed by her brother’s methods. Although her brother no longer cared about her and their grandmother, she still had her master to care for her.

“Certainly! As a matter of fact, Jiang Yang even triggered the silhouette of the Prime Ancestor of the Celestia Holy Land recently, which means he has gained the recognition of the Prime Ancestor! Jiang Yang’s Talents are not to be missed, so reasonably, he became the disciple whom we invested our resources in the most…” Unaware of Gu Changge’s thoughts, the Celestia Archbishop ignorantly went on about how well Jiang Yang was living in Celestia Holy Land. Essentially, he wouldn’t know why Gu Changge brought Yao Yao along, and he simply assumed that the little girl was only here to see her brother.

“Sounds to me he’s living the life,” Gu Changge faintly replied as he nodded. Although he seemed unaffected, he was chortling in his heart and almost complimented the Celestia Archbishop for a job well done. [Man, what a fool, this man is! He probably still doesn’t know what his own words really mean. Well, I couldn’t appreciate the timely assistance any more. It saves me the time to destroy their bond.]

To Yao Yao, her close ones were the most important people to her. Her brother, who promised to return to visit her and their grandmother, was living so happily in Celestia Holy Land, and instead of fulfilling that promise, he seemed to have forgotten the two.

As such, Yao Yao was disheartened. The words of the Celestia Archbishop was like rubbing salt on a wound as they proved her guesses right. Furthermore, with Gu Changge’s occasional implications manipulating her mind, it was only reasonable that she would be so pessimistic.

“Then, has Jiang Yang ever mentioned about his sister?” Followingly, Gu Changge turned to the Celestia Archbishop and asked with a subtle grin.

At once, the Celestia Archbishop was taken aback, intimidated by his eerie expression and grew nervous as he didn’t know why Gu Changge would ask such a question. Personally, he wasn’t certain about the matter, but the words he spoke were indeed the truth. Nonetheless, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he failed to answer Gu Changge’s question correctly.

Prior to that, he didn’t even know there was a disciple named Jiang Yang in the Sect, and he was only informed by Qing Gui minutes ago that Jiang Yang had a sister. All of a sudden, the Celestia Archbishop seemed somewhat awkward as he remained wordless, fearing that he might give a false answer.

As Yao Yao noted his silence, her face turned slightly pale. She interpreted the Archbishop’s silence as a tacit acknowledgement that Jiang Yang had never mentioned that he had a sister, and the only sensible reason was that he was ashamed by his family’s lowly identities.

<*Ding!* Jiang Yang’s impression is tarnished in Yao Yao’s heart. Jiang Yang the Reincarnate Fortuitous One loses Fortuity. User gains 6000 Fortuity and 30,000 Fatums.>

<*Ding!* Fracture in familial bond is aggravated. Jiang Yang the Reincarnate Fortuitous One loses Fortuity. User gains 500 Fortuity and 2500 Fatums.>

At that mmiasmat, hearing the System’s notification, Gu Changge subconsciously squinted his eyes as he grew fascinated.

The Celestia Archbishop reacted as he predicted. Upon receiving the abundant Fortuity and Fatums, he grew even determined that Yao Yao and Grandma Yin Hua played a crucial role as they were both Jiang Yang’s close ones, hence their role bore extraordinary meaning.

Besides, Yao Yao herself was, in a specific sense, an Absolute Being since the Dao Fruit was an entity of utmost mystery, which none could fathom what it really was, so Yao Yao might awaken one day and instantly regain all her powers at her peak.

As a matter of fact, the peach tree in the Land of Abandoned Celestials definitely encountered some issues, but it retained its terrific powers, and it was startling to even imagine the strength it possessed back at its peak.

Thereupon, Gu Changge felt that the true strength of the peach tree might exceed even that of a True Immortal. Given Yao Yao’s trust in him as well as Gu Xianer’s recent attitude, it was highly possible that the peach tree would grow subservient to him.

[Judging by the plotline, something must be troubling Jiang Yang. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have sat by as his family faced danger. Regardless, his trouble must not be known to Yao Yao since a misunderstanding resolved would only cause further problems. And since it’s a misunderstanding, it shall remain. There’s no need for Yao Yao to know about any of this.] Gu Changge’s eyes deepened.

[Nevertheless, on the bright side, the Mortal One’s reincarnation makes quite a fatty crop. His Fortuity alone exceeds that of any Fortuitous Ones that I’ve ever encountered. Once I’m done harvesting him, I shall deal with the Eternal Overcast in peace. After all, Fatums is an entity of wonders. I could use it to improve Nommening to refine the Eternal Overcast, which most likely is originally immune to Nommening.]

Very soon, news regarding Gu Changge’s arrival at Celestia Holy Land quickly spread from the gates.

After Gu Changge mentioned Jiang Yang’s name, the Elders humbly retreated at once, rushing towards Jiang Yang’s cultivation spot as they intended to bring him over. Since the Immortal wished to meet him, then it would be his honour to hurry over.

In the palace, Gu Changge was sitting in the primary seat as he was calmly sipping his tea, whereas Yao Yao, who was beside him, looked obviously nervous and restless.

Nevertheless, the people of Celestia Holy Land were apparently more anxious than the little girl as their backs were drenched in cold sweat. At that mmiasmat, they could feel that the atmosphere was off.

The Celestia Archbishop’s face seemed somewhat pale as he worried that Jiang Yang might have brought disaster upon them.

Meanwhile, in the depths of Celestia Holy Land, a cave was filled with godly gleams and dense energy that drifted vigorously. Amid the anomalies, a dashing young man was sitting with his legs crossed, focused on his cultivation as his face remained calm and uninfluenced. At the same time, numerous oddities surged from his energy centre. All kinds of terrifying beasts, the Azure Dragon, the White Tiger, the Vermillion Bird, the Black Tortoise, and the True Phoenix, appeared by his side as though they were the young man’s guardian, roaring and shrieking menacingly.

*Huff… Huff…* Along his breath, a frightening anomaly occurred above his head. Infinite beings across the astral realm and the universe were facing the brawny figure in the centre, bowing at him as they emitted grand ritual sounds of the ancient age that echoed through the cave. If someone else were here, they would surely be startled by such a sight. Nonetheless, the young man wasn’t at all bothered.

At the entrance of the cave, a stunning woman in a noble outfit was staring at him as she expressed her astonishment. “So that is the Barren Sacred Physique that repelled the curse… What an alarming sight.”

The stunning woman in her noble outfit was the Supreme Elder of Celestia Holy Land, Zhao Yi, whose cultivation level reached the Sacred Noble Realm. Although her appearance was youthful, she was, in fact, an ancient being, and she was considered as Jiang Yang’s guardian.

After all, upon Jiang Yang’s triggering of the silhouette of the Prime Ancestor, the Elders thought that he deserved the best treatment as the future of Celestia Holy Land lay in his hands.

Retaining his composure, Jiang Yang wasn’t affected by Zhao Yi’s words, and instead, he remorsefully replied, “It’s been a month and I’ve only reached the Transcendent Realm. This is still too slow.”

Hearing that, Zhao Yi couldn’t help but cringe as she thought his response humiliated every cultivator of the world. Apart from Jiang Yang, no one was able to break the record of ascending through numerous Realms within a month, and such a pace was unprecedented, monstrous even.

Jiang Yang then turned to Zhao Yi and stated, “These resources are insufficient. I need to achieve the Honoured Lord Realm within six months. It’s still far ahead.”

[Honoured Lord Realm within six months?] Zhao Yi was rendered speechless by how he spoke those words so casually.

[Transcendent Realm, Mighty-Transcendent Realm, Honoured Nobility Realm, Honoured Lord Realm… They get more difficult the higher one goes. Forget half a month, even three whole years wouldn’t be enough! Though, Jiang Yang’s Talent is indeed out of the world…] Zhao Yi hesitantly nodded.

Standing in front of the Jiang Yang, she, as the Supreme Elder, felt that she could barely keep her head up, as if she was suppressed by the young disciple.

[Jeez, I wonder who’s the disciple here…] She was confused and weirded out by Jiang Yang’s strangely domineering aura.

[What a perplexing mysterious young man…] Zhao Yi shook her head.

Undisturbed by Zhao Yi’s opinion, Jiang Yang then shut his eyes and concentrated on cultivating. All of a sudden, a voice sounded in his mind. [Do you see that? This is what you can acquire once you accept me. Do you perhaps wish to return to that gloomy place and continue being a mining slave?]

Another reluctant, resolute voice replied, [We are completely different entities. There is no way I’ll give in to you!]

[What a persistent young man. Do you remember who it was that begged for my assistance when he almost collapsed? If it weren’t for me, you would have been corroded by the miasma. There’s no way you would make it out alive.] Jiang Yang remained unaffected, as if nothing was happening at all. Ever since he took over the body, mere miasma could no longer harm him. He was once the Mortal One, worshipped by every being of all worlds and the number of his worshippers were as uncountable as the number of grains of sand in the universe.

Back then, he cast a little of his might, which shifted the shape of the mountains, where collision then erupted, instantaneously shattering the Immortal Path that was being built by Celestia Holy Land and turning their grand plan into ashes. Yet, the people of Celestia Holy Land were still oblivious to that.

Accordingly, he used his mighty Talents, and with some special methods, he triggered the silhouette of the Prime Ancestor of Celestia Holy Land, which then earned him a significant promotion. Without him, the original Jiang Yang would have died of fatigue building the Immortal Path.

As a being of generosity, Jiang Yang wasn’t willing to kill off the soul of the original host. Thus, he intended to wait until the host eventually came to terms with him and fade away on his own accord.

In fact, another part of the reason as to why Jiang Yang’s original conscience remained was due to the completion of his Symbol of Reincarnation.

Right as Jiang Yang was immersed in his thoughts, voices from outside the cave left a scowl on his face.

“Jiang Yang! Get out of the cave!”

“Do you hear us?”

“Jiang Yang, the Immortal wishes to see you! Hurry up! Do not let the Immortal wait!”

A number of Elders hurried over on Arcane Bridges as they shouted into the cave.

“The Immortal!?” Hearing that, Zhao Yi was visibly surprised. As the Supreme Elder of Celestia Holy Land, it was only natural that she heard about the Immortal that turned the entire Sky Domain inside out, but she was baffled as to  why he would come to Celestia Holy Land to meet with Jiang Yang.

“Immortal? Ah, so he comes.”

In that instant, Zhao Yi was even more dumbfounded by Jiang Yang’s reaction. Judging by his serene face, it was as if he foresaw what was coming. There was even a grin on his face. Seeing that, Zhao Yi could feel her eyes popping out. [How did Jiang Yang know? Who is he, truly?]

With that, Jiang Yang stood up and walked out of the cave, after which he looked at the Elders and calmly stated. “Have the so-called Immortal come over. Tell him I shall wait for him right here. Also, the bystanders shall stay where they currently are.”

“What!?” At Jiang Yang’s leisurely, confident reply, the Elders were left stupefied, unable to believe what they just heard.  [Have the Immortal over? He’ll wait for the Immortal here? Did we hear that right!? Did Jiang Yang cultivate out of his mind?]
