    POV: Violet

“Thanks for showing me around and handling my luggage despite my sudden visit.”

After Silva finished bathing at the church and returned to the mansion, he first thanked me for drying and handling his dirty clothes (bringing his spare clothes) and luggage.

I was a taken aback at first, because I expected him to snap at me with something like ‘don’t do anything unnecessary’, like he would when he first enrolled at the academy and considered everybody to be his enemies.

However, thinking about it, that hostility came from the fear of being kept at a distance as a cursed being, and even before I was expelled, he had started to cheerfully interact with his surroundings thanks to Mary’s influence.

It’s possible that the real side of him was this.

…That being said, he had never shown his cheerful side to me. Not like I can do anything about that though.

“Hey, this is supposed to be a girls-only thing, right? Why are you and I here?“

    “Because it’s a girls’ night.”

“What in the world is that?”

“Is it not a gathering of people including the girls?”

    “I see?”

Currently, Gray, Kriemhild, Mary, Silva and I were gathered in the mansion’s largest guest room. In the middle of us were drinks and snacks we could eat by hand prepared by Mary.

At Mary’s suggestion, we went to the inn was a whole group to have dinner, where she asked me if I was okay with Silva staying over too, taking his financial situation into account…

When Silva heard that Mary was staying in a mansion with me, his expression changed to something that that could be interpreted both as worry and caution and he mumbled something under his breath, looking mentally unstable.

Without many other options, I gave him the permission to stay.

We were going to have our ‘girls’ night’ at night, so I called out to everybody to gather them here but…

“But is it okay for guys be in a room with girls? Besides, it’s already night, and we are in pajamas…”

As Silva said, it was strange to have gathered boys and girls in one room in their pajamas for the so-called ‘girls’ night’.

Following Kriemhild and Mary’s urging, I also put on thick pajamas, but I couldn’t seem to get used to it.

In Silva’s case, he was also uncomfortable being in front of other girls including his crush, dressed in clothes he normally did not see them in. even if the group included me, somebody he hated.

“It’s okay, Silva. Gray is here too.”

“No, this boy is just a child. He’s fine, but I’m…”

“Ah, Silva. Here’s your tea. I added sugar too, just the way you like it.”

“Oh, thank you, Ms. Mary… Ah, it’s delicious.”

“Here, we have sweets too, come on, open your mouth~”

“Kriemhild, you’re treating me like a child again… *munch* stop forcing it in my mouth…*munch*… oh, this is delicious too!”

“We have more. Oh, Silva, your hair is springing up.”

“I’ll comb it for you. Hehe, Silva, your silver hair is still as beautiful as ever.”

    “*Munch*… Thanks, Ms. Mary. *Munch*, it’s delicious…”

… Silva was still being treated like a Younger Brother again.

It might be inevitable, because he’s smaller than me and his speech and behavior are somewhat childish, but it’s somewhat sad that Silva is the only one not being seen as the opposite sex among those who are pursuing Mary, like His Highness and the others. That being said, I’ve heard some classmates talk about how they liked his occasional display of masculinity too.

“So, what are we going to do, Mary?”

“Well, we’ll have fun conversations and deepen our friendships.”

Mary was combing Silva’s hair and seemed to be really excited to start the girls’ night.

It was my first time seeing an expression like this on her face; it was almost as innocent as that of a child.

“What do you mean by talk, Lady Mary?”

“Well, we’ll eat sweets and talk about what happened recently, people we lo- respect, our hobbies, old stories, etc. A girls’ gathering is a mysterious space, where talking about things will deepens our intimacy more than usual.”

“What? Girls’ gathering has such an effect?!”

    “Yes, that’s right.”

When Mary mentioned this, it seemed to have the same kind of innocence Gray show when he ‘learns something from ___’, that she is simply following the influence of what she had learnt. I can’t sense the usual fact driven girl from the current Mary.

She’s mentioned books she read several times now, so I wonder if she’s been influenced by that.

“I don’t really get it, but it seems like Mary’s having fun, so I guess it’s fine.”

“I’m so happy that Ms. Mary is making such a happy voice and that I can participate in this occasion. Ms.Mary also looks so beautiful, so pretty in her pajamas and she’s making an expression I’ve hardly ever seen before. When she decided to come here and decided to get closer to that woman, I got worried that she was being threatening in some way. I’m so happy to be able to see this expression while sharing the same room as Ms. Mary. That’s why I have to protect her. Hehehehe.”

    “What’s wrong, Silva?”

    “Oh, it’s nothing.”

… I wonder why. Was it just my imagination that I could feel something akin a dark aura from Silva who was eating sweets?

No, his cursed power should be just a rumor, so I might have had misunderstood something. Silva usually talks about how he wants to be a man who helps the weak like a knight, but right now he was the one who blushed more than anyone when he comes into contact with Mary.

Perhaps he was too nervous to move well. If he stopped eating right now, he would probably blush at having his hair combed.

… Still, he’s sure eating it like its the most delicious thing in the world.

    “Lady Violet, Lady Violet”

    “What’s wrong, Gray?”

As I was looking at Silva and the others, Gray called out to me.

When he calls somebody’s name twice, it’s usually because he wants to try something new or because he’s looking forward to something.

When I turned towards Gray, he was holding a bite-sized snack in his handkerchief. For some reason his eyes were sparking with excitement. How cute.

    Um, this is…

    “Please open your mouth.”

    I thought so.

I guess looking at Kriemhild made him want to do the same thing.

I don’t intend to talk too much about manners in a situation like this, but it’s indecent so I’d rather not do it.

Besides, I’ve already eaten dinner. I’ve gotten a lot better now, but if I eat too much, I’ll feel sick and in the worst case, I might even throw up. Sweets are even worse.

So, I tried to refuse, but…

“Gray, I don’t really like sweets past dinner.”

“But he’s eating it so deliciously, that I thought you would enjoy it too, Lady Violet…”

“…That’s why you tried to imitate them?”

    “Yes… was I being a bother?”

In other words, he saw how happy Silva was, and thought that if he did the same thing to me, I would also be happy too.

Alright, I’ll eat as much as he wants.

What about it being indecent? Right now, I don’t care. What kind of Mother would I be if I didn’t accept kindness from Gray, from my own Son? No Mother would refuse, and I want to be the best Mother I can be,

Good luck my stomach. Don’t you puke so I can accept this kindness from my Son.

    “Alright, come on, Gray!”

    “Yes, Lady Violet—no, Mother!”

The sweets Gray fed me strangely seemed more delicious than usual.

“I don’t have a Mother so I don’t really know, but are Mothers and Sons usually like that?”

“Ahaha, those two are pretty unique.”

“I’m sure they don’t want to be told that by you, Kriemhild.”

“And I don’t want to be told that by you, Silva.”

    Author’s note:

By the way when she did it with Clo, they both got embarrassed after saying ‘ahh~” once and didn’t do it more
