“I don’t know. Maybe because we are Father’s children? I don’t think I’m handsome enough to get that kind of attention. Or maybe they are just looking at you cause you are so cute?” Yang Ji theorised.
Yang Xu blushed a little and corrected, “Brother, stop belittling yourself. You are handsome enough. I can already see some girls stealing glances at you from the corner of my eye. Also, I don’t think it is because of Father. They are paying attention to the both of us, but not to Yang Hao and the rest. It’s so strange…”
“What else could it be but your transcendent cultivation realm? Though masked, do you believe you Twins could conceal such matters from the eyes of true experts?” The Heavenly Demon Queen stated as if it were a fact. “Even if not your cultivation realm, your Bloodline already seizes much attention.”
“Check the other little ones that surround you. How do they compare to you two?” The Heavenly Demon Queen asked, and Yang Ji swept his Divine Sense to their surrounding classmates.
“Oh? The highest here is in the Transcendent Realm, that’s two Major Realms below Yang Hao, who is in the Saint King Realm.” Yang Ji gave a baffled expression and then swept his Divine Sense to the other classes as well. “Eh? The highest is only in the Saint King Realm?”
As Yang Ji swept through class by class using his Divine Sense, the Heavenly Demon Queen had her eyes narrow for a moment before returning to normal. It was so fast that neither Yang Ji or Yang Xu noticed despite her being in Yang Ji’s Dantian. It seemed like she had spotted something peculiar, but she chose not to voice it out just yet.
In fact, the person that drew her attention had also frowned at that moment but remained perfectly composed.
Instead, even without knowing all the cultivation realms of this plane, she retained her usual composure and continued to explain to these ignorant children, who were so sheltered they did not even know that Dao Source Realm experts like them, ignoring age, were already rare.
“You two have yet to bash under the stars and still remain sheltered. Even I, who am not from your plane, could tell how exceptional you two are at a glance. Those onlookers must surely be pondering in their hearts what manner of prodigies you two might be. They likely question whether there was some error in the age verification process, given that you two were permitted entry.”
“So, compared to other children, we are just that strong, huh?” Yang Ji seemed to be in thought for a moment, “We already know that we were strong amongst our Siblings but the result here is a little disappointing. I heard from our Mothers that there are going to be prodigies from the other Cave Heavens and Paradises. I guess they did not send their best…”
Yang Xu agreed with his view. “Yeah, if they had sent their best, I’m sure they would be much stronger.”
Though the Twins had convinced themselves of this, the reality of it was that for most prodigies, it would take more than a hundred years just to reach the Origin Returning Realm. For the true cream of the crop, with close to unlimited resources, they might take fifty years or more to reach the Dao Source Realm. Yet, they Twins were expecting such a feat to be accomplished before a child reaches sixteen of age. Still, it was true that most of the best from the Cave Heavens and Paradises were not sent here.
If heard outside, the ludicrousness of this idea would have made many Masters spit out blood if they were made to expect their Disciples needed to reach such heights at such an age.
This was highlighted by how shocked the other children’s parents were. They would exclaim, with their Divine Sense with each other.
“How is this possible!? Who raised those children!?”
“Dao Source Realm before sixteen!? Wait, they haven’t even hit puberty yet!”
“Dear, should we withdraw Jun’er? I’m afraid these two might become a Heart Demon for him…”
“I heard that they are the Palace Master’s children. It would be great if our Son can get close to them.”
Such conversations were frantic, with Divine Senses shooting back and forth between parents, and acquaintances. That was just how shocking the existences known as Yang Ji and Yang Xu were.
It got so out of hand that the children, due to their low cultivation, started to feel the pressure of all those Divine Sense messages being sent. It reached a point where Li Wu Yi had to step in, silencing them all with a blast of his own Divine Sense.
“Silence! If there are any questions, we will address them after the Palace Master’s lecture.”
The pressure from an Eighth-Order Open Heaven Realm Master was not to be underestimated. Once that clear message was delivered, all parents quietened down. Though it did not fully eliminate all those Divine Sense flying about, that was more than enough to allow the children to breathe easier.
Li Wu Yi gave a sigh and wondered to himself, [I would have reacted the same way if I did not know the Twins prior to this. Why did they even want to enroll them? These two are monsters who do not even need teachers. How do I even teach them?]
Lu Wu Yi then turned his head to another class. It was also another class but this one was solely focused on the Dao of Space, and it was taught by Jiu Feng. There, she was grinning, wishing him good fortune with those two.
Yang Kai soon ended his speech, and he directed the students and teachers to leave in preparation to arrange the children in the dormitories.
As for the parents, they could stay in the Grand Hall and ask questions. Yang Kai and the teachers would be able to answer their queries.
Naturally, once the children left, questions started to pop off from the parents. Especially cultivator parents. For the mortal parents, most were just happy that their children were accepted here and could have an opportunity to cultivate. What more, most were afraid to speak up, since the people that they were speaking to were the illusive cultivators, who could kill them with a wave of their hand. Under such circumstances, how would they dare to raise their voices to question anything?
Thus, Yang Kai answered all the queries coming out from the cultivator parents. Though, as expected, a large majority of them were related to Yang Ji and Yang Xu since most details had already been disseminated prior, with facility tours available after the children have settled down in their dorms.
Nevertheless, sensing that he had not once addressed a question from a mortal parent, he sent a message through Divine Sense to Xue Yue, and had them go over to address them if possible.
As for the questions related to Yang Ji and Yang Xu, Yang Kai naturally admitted that they were his oldest children, with a hint of pride on his face.
“Yes, they are currently twelve and they have reached the Dao Source Realm, as many have noticed. They are proficient in the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time. Right now, we just want them to socialise and have friends rather than focus on cultivating.”
“Wait, so they are already proficient in two Daos? Have they reached Grand Mastery!?” A woman from the Yin-Yang Cave Heaven asked.
“Yes. So, they are qualified to be teachers themselves but we really just want them to make friends.” Yang Kai felt a strange premotion when it was a woman from Yin-Yang Cave Heaven that asked this.
“Palace Master, is it fine to enroll more students?” A Father from the Great Battle Cave Heaven asked. Unlike those that had their Dao Hearts tremble and were afraid for their children, he would much prefer prodigies from his Cave Heaven come and sharpen themselves using this whetstone called Yang Ji and Yang Xu.
“General enrollment happens every year. But, since this is the first year and I believe many potential students have yet to enroll, we will give everyone another month. After that, we would not accept any new students till the next year.” Yang Kai stated and gave a nod to Shan Qing Luo, who moved to arrange things.
“As for those who wish to withdraw because of my children, please feel free to do so. We merely hope for the best for the children. You can look for my Wife, Xia Ning Chang outside the Grand Hall later, she can help you arrange things.” Yang Kai could feel frightened gazes so he mentioned this before needing any parent to speak.
At that point, a few parents silently left and waited outside the Grand Hall, since they had already made up their minds. As for other a few others, some still had not made the decision yet.
“Palace Master, if we wish to donate certain Secret Techniques and have the teachers teach our children, how do we go about it?” One Father asked, even preparing a manual in his hand.
“You can talk to the form teacher of the class later and tell them about it. We leave it up to their discretion. Some Secret Techniques might not be suitable for the form teacher to teach. So, you would need to speak to the teacher individually. This way, the Secret Technique need not be spread to the academy, and you can have the teacher swear to secrecy.” Yang Kai explained.
“Palace Master, will there be any bias against our children if they ever get bullied by your own children?” One concerned Mother asked. After all, the ones in power here were those from High Heaven Palace. Bias was definitely a thing, and as a Mother, she could not help but worry.
“Judgement would be left to the World Tree, not us. The World Tree clone here will be able to perceive and record any happenings in this small space, and would act as a neutral judge in any case that is brought up. There is no need for any parent here to feel fearful for their safety as well, since the World Tree clone would act to protect the children.” Yang Kai explained.
“Okay, let’s take the final question before we go for the facility tour.”
“Palace Master, when do you think is the appropriate age for your children to have grandchildren?” That same woman from the Yin-Yang Cave Heaven asked this but before Yang Kai could answer, the whole Grand Hall could feel the temperature drop, needing Xue Yue to reflectively protect the mortal parents.
As for the woman from Yin-Yang Cave Heaven, the Void had immediately claimed her, and Su Yan gave a sharp glare at the other Mothers from Yin-Yang Cave Heaven.
