Chapter 6106, Blood Binding Seal
by SilavinAuthor: Silavin
Yang Ji, sensing that something was quickly coming at him from above, did not even turn around to check. He immediately took evasive manoeuvres and ran to the side.
*Bang!*
Soon, a relatively small Spirit Ship came crashing down. ‘Relatively small’ because it was definitely not the usual sized Spirit Ship Yang Ji had seen before. Even from a distance, it was obvious the ones flying to and from the floating island were definitely a lot bigger than this ship.
Still, it was apparent that this small Spirit Ship was certainly made with luxury in mind. Every inch of it was decorated by jewels if not ornaments. If this did not scream, ‘I’m rich’, Yang Ji did not know what did.
Naturally, such a Spirit Ship had to have its own passengers. And, true to its size, there were only three passengers.
“Young Mistress!” A deep voice could be heard roaring from inside. It was so powerful that Yang Ji could not help but shield his ears.
[That actually hurt me!?] Yang Ji was slightly taken aback by this. After all, it was just a simple emotional roar. It held little to no intention to harm anyone. Yet, he got injured?
Wu Lun’s voice soon reminded him. “Later, do not show any sort of hostility, regardless of what they do. Understand?”
“Seriously, can’t you just tell me what they are going to do?” Yang Ji word off using his Divine Sense. However, as expected, no response came back.
Soon, one passenger after another came out. There was a man, a woman, and a child. The man and woman were obviously not couples, from how distant they were from one another. Especially, when the man was carrying the child as he moved out of the wreckage, and the woman was apologetically lowering her head towards the man.
All three were dressed well. Of course, anyone would be ‘dressed well’ compared to Yang Ji. It was just that there was clear opulence on how they dressed. It was not like they wore large jewelry, but the material they wore certainly highlighted wealth and prestige. Still, the man and woman could not be compared to the child that was being carried. That one child, from Yang Ji’s perception, was covered in Artifacts from head to toe.
Yang Ji did not know how valuable these Artifacts were, but he could somehow see his younger Siblings in this child. His Mothers certainly gave them too many Artifacts to use, so some were used as toys and some as clothes. This child seemed to be similar.
The man who stood with an unconscious child in his arm, turned towards the woman, who was lowering her head apologetically. “Xing Ting, raise your head. If you wish to apologise for your folly, then protect the Young Mistress till the end. If she dies, you know what will become of us and our Families. A thousand deaths will not suffice to quell Master’s wrath.”
The woman, Xing Ting, looked up with resolve in her eyes. “Understood.”
The man, seeming to nod, turned his attention elsewhere. His eyes turned sharp and his hand moved to grasp something in the air.
The very next instant, Yang Ji felt an indescribable pulling force. Tried as he might, this was not a force he could overcome. Unable to resist, he was pulled all the way to the man’s hand, with his neck being held in a choke hold.
*Ghh*
“A child?” The man’s eyes scanned Yang Ji with cold disregard. He seemed to ponder, all while Yang Ji was being choked, trying to claw the hand on his neck open but his nails tail at even making a scratch.
Xing Ting gave a nod, and she turned back to the crash site, “Sir, what if we leave a corpse behind as a decoy?”
The man’s eyes soon turned back to the woman and a violent pressure pressed her down. She could not help but kneel at that moment. “Do you take them for fools? For them to target us, they are certain to have some method to track the Young Mistress. They would definitely know if she is alive. Such paltry tricks would not work on people of their calibre.”
The man soon turned back to Yang Ji, “But, we do indeed need to buy time.”
“No clothes, no cultivation, that ridiculous thick stench of the Lower Realm. An abandoned child of the pathetic invaders here. Be thankful you get this opportunity to serve a higher being in sacrificing your life.” The man coldly said as he released his grasp on Yang Ji. However, Yang Ji was not free. In fact, the same force that pulled him over seemed to have locked him in place, up in the air.
After all, how could a child without any cultivation possibly have transverse the barrier between the Lower Realm and the Upper Realm? It was far more likely for him to be a spawn between a couple who had invaded into the Upper Realm, and had settled here. Furthermore, seeing as how this child did not have any cultivation at his age, it was more likely that he could not cultivate. For such trash, it was obvious what the couple would do–abandon him in the wilderness to let fate decide what to do with him.
The man moved his hand and grasped towards the Spirit Ship. Very quickly, boxes were opened up. Inside them were clothes..
The man soon clenched his hand and Yang Ji found that his body was starting to get moist. In fact, surpassing his Divine Sense, there was some kind of power that was gathering moisture in the air, and compressing it onto his body. It first started as droplets, but as thousands upon thousands of them gathered, they soon formed into a sphere large enough to completely cover him.
When enough water was gathered, Yang Ji was soon mercilessly spun within this water bubble. All manner of dirt and grim was cleaned from his body, as did his consciousness. Even the leaf overall he wore for the past three days had been completely torn apart by this merciless spinning.
Still, it was not over. Once deemed clean enough, the man snapped his finger and all water had completely evaporated off his body, leaving a cleaned boy exposed to all the elements.
“Help him get dressed. I need to prepare the seal.” The man ordered and he stepped aside to lay the unconscious girl down on the ground.
Yang Ji, still dizzy from all that spinning, tried his hardest to try and escape while the woman was busy picking clothes for him.
Wu Lun reminded him again, “Do not resist. Just let matters take their course.”
Yang Ji, who was doubting those words, tried to take a step away, but the man’s warning came despite his eyes being closed, and his focus being on his Young Mistress as he made a small cut to draw some blood from her. “Brat, it is meaningless to try and escape. Serve your purpose and maybe you will get a chance at freedom. If not, crippling your legs would not be an issue.”
Yang Ji scoffed in his mind, [Even if you break my legs, it’ll just take me a couple of weeks to recover. Better to just leave.]
However, Yang Ji knew that with the disparity in strength, he would certainly be caught if he did anything. So, Yang Ji wanted to open his mouth to speak, but was quickly silenced by Wu Lun.
“If you try to propose some kind of condition, he will just seal your voice. Even worse, he will seal your movements. At this stage, you won’t be able to break those seals even if you destroy and regenerate those body parts. So, just act obedient even if your heart is defiant. I can only advise you. I can’t aid you more than this right now.”
Yang Ji soon rolled his eyes in his heart. “Fine. I’ll do as you say. It seems like you’ve predicted this would happen.”
To not be suspected, he transitioned his mouth opening as an opportunity to puke. Even his small retreat could be taken as him moving to one side to puke.
Seeing this, the man gave a scoff, and focused all his attention back onto the Young Mistress.
Meanwhile, the woman, seeming to hold no prejudice against those from the Lower Realm, quickly wiped Yang Ji’s mouth and helped him put on a dress, even equipping him with some Artifacts to make the disguise more convincing.
She even tried to take the ring necklace away, since it was something their Young Mistress would never wear. However, upon seeing how reluctant Yang Ji was to part with it, she convinced herself that this might be the only thing his Parents had left behind and could not find it in herself to remove it. Besides, it was small and could be kept well concealed. So, it was not too much of an issue.
Still, there were obvious points that made Yang Ji different from the Young Mistress. After all, one was a boy and the other was a girl. Even if their ages were similar, their builds and hair length was different. If one was observant enough, it would be easy to spot these differences. In fact, even their auras were different. Not considering their individual auras, Yang Ji had the thick aura of the Lower Realm, which made him stand out even amongst others from the Lower Realm.
To solve the biggest issue, which was their aura, they first had to hide the Lower Realm aura clinging onto Yang Ji. For that, they used a ring Artifact.
Seemingly to match with its purpose, its design was rather bland compared to all the Artifacts the Young Mistress wore. It was a golden ring with runes on it that were carved within the ring. When worn, it would just look like a band ring.
Naturally, its true purpose was to hide one’s aura. It was not meant to be used to hide the Lower Realm aura. Still, it should be effective enough to at least deceive their pursuers.
As for their builds and hair, the man gave his apology before cutting off his Young Mistress hair to match that of Yang Ji. Then, he took the hair and mixed it inside the blood he collected.
After muttering something incoherent, he used his finger to draw in the air, using the blood as base and the hair as a brush. The man easily created a seal and planted it into Yang Ji’s body.
After he was done with the ritual, the man coldly said to Yang Ji, “Now that the Blood Binding Seal is done, if the Young Mistress dies, you will suffer the same fate. If you survive through this ordeal, we will naturally release the Blood Binding Seal. So, now you have no choice but to cooperate with us.”
