Seeing as to how her Brother has already agreed to it, Yang Xu struck while the iron was hot. She immediately took out a scroll from her Space Ring. When she unfurrowed it, there was a list of names written down, including their class, what Dao and who should pass their insights.

Yang Ji looked at it and marvelled. [Mothers, you all really work fast…]

From what Yang Xu had suggested, this meant that the Mothers had started to take action within a week or so. To come up with such a list, didn’t they have to check all the students prior, or with all their teachers?

There were even names that highlighted who they should not touch. Though Yang Ji did not know why that was, that was not the most important point.

The most important point was that they were to pass their insights onto children that were not even proficient in the Dao of Space or the Dao of Time… Naturally, these insights were not of the two Daos. Instead, they were about the more common Spear Dao, Sword Dao, Dao of Spirit Arrays and Alchemic Dao…

This only made Yang Ji confused. They were not that proficient in those other Daos. If they were to describe their mastery of Daos in levels, their mastery of the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time could be said to reach level nine, while the others were just at two or three…

From Yang Ji’s point of view, such mastery was lacklustre. It was a little embarrassing to teach someone else when he himself felt like he had not mastered much of those Daos. After all, even against a Territory Lord, they did not even use a weapon. For Pills, they had their Mother Xia Ning Chang providing so much… no, too much… concocting their own Pills would be just for fun. Something they could do with their Younger Siblings. As for Spirit Arrays, they definitely understood a thing or two, since their Uncle Eleven had been exploring this field and they hung out with him. However, what they knew was truly just shallow knowledge.

What Yang Ji failed to realise was that those the Twins were dealing with were just beginners, not just in cultivation but in life as well. All were less than sixteen of age, how much do they comprehend? For those extraordinary geniuses, which one of them did not have the backing to make it to such heights? And, how many of them would be enrolled in High Heaven Academy?

This was only the first year of the school. No, it could be said to only be the first month. There was hardly any reputation to it except for the fame of High Heaven Palace and Yang Kai. Even so, would those truly powerful and ancient Sects with profound heritages actually care to send their most stunning prodigies to the academy? They had the resources for that. It was only in cases like Lei Ao, where he pursued a Dao different from what Red Clouds Cave Heaven experienced in that they sought to send them to High Heaven Academy. If not, maybe they would send their secondary prodigies, who could serve to establish connections to High Heaven Palace.

Therefore, for most children here, they had not even reached level one. Even if the gap was only a level in terms of mastery of a Dao, that would still be a precious opportunity that could save them years if not decades of hard work.

Yang Ji looked through the list in amazement. There were more than two hundred names written inside. It was a strange sensation that the Daos he was most proficient in would be the least he needed to impart, but that could not be helped since there was a limited number of students who were talented in either of those Daos.

“Okay, so our Mothers has already planned it all out. So, which class should we go for first?” Yang Ji asked.

“Mother Shan Qing Luo said that we should do as much as possible in a single night.” Yang Xu explained.

“Ah… in that case, we can’t do our class. There are only eleven students on this list and doing one would be exhausting.” Yang Ji said while recalling how that one instance with Lei Ao required him to tap into Yang Xu’s Qi reserves. “We should also do it at night. Mother doesn’t want us to get noticed, right?”

“No, they said we need to do it while Father is busy. So, we will be doing it immediately.” Yang Xu said and she looked down.

Out in the school, there were countless students walking about minding their own business. After class, most cultivators had free time to practice.

“Wait… you are telling me we are going to look for them in board daylight? Wouldn’t it be easier once they are back at their dorms, where we can tell who they are from the sign outside their room.” Yang Ji felt exasperated. This whole thing seemed so rushed.

“We can use our Divine Sense to check their Identity Plates while everyone is moving. Our Mothers also said that the teachers will not interfere with this.” Yang Xu said and pointed to a student in the distance.

Technically, from the sky, she was pointing at a building but due to her sharing her senses to Yang Ji, he immediately ‘saw’ who she was pointing to.

“Okay, okay. I get it.” Yang Ji relented. “I’ll go back to my room first. Since you have the list on you, you can just throw them to me. Once I’m done, we’ll switch.”

“En. I’ll help you send them to the Recovery Hall as well.” Yang Xu said with a smile, that seemed normal to Yang Ji but would look truly odd if a third party saw it.

This day was one to be remembered in the annals of history. On this day, students disappeared in droves and without a sound. It was as though they had been spirited away.

From one moment, clamours and laughter to silence and fear. One might be enjoying a conversation in one moment to find that no response came back. Some doubted their eyes, wondering where their friend had gone. They were here just seconds ago, yet their whole presence had disappeared.

Such occurrences happened one after another, without stopping.

Those students who were sharp enough naturally noticed something was amiss. However, they might be the very same people ‘spirited away’ next.

    As for the teachers?

Did none of them not notice?

Of course they did. They naturally knew what was happening. How else did that list come about? Surely, the High Heaven Palace Mistresses did not personally move to inspect all children to select these two hundred or so. The teachers had to have some hand in it.

The only person who could potentially claim ignorance was the Principal, but could he truly say he had not guessed this would happen? After all, he had been married to those women for years.

As for why no one had strongly opposed this, besides the overwhelming influence of the Wives, it was because this was an ‘opportunity’ for these children. Those selected for the less illusive Daos need not worry as much since the Twins did not have extremely high attainment in those fields. It was only those targeted for the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time that they needed to pay extra attention to.

Still, it was a little unnerving as Li Wu Yi watched student after student suddenly disappear in his Divine Sense, and suddenly appear in the Recovery Hall.

“Elder, are you sure this will be fine?” Xu Yi, at the side, asked.

Li Wu Yi gave a sigh. “We’ve already presented them with the list. I can’t take most of the other students as my Disciple. Especially not those from the Phoenix Clan. Our understanding of the Dao of Space is too different. Also, we are in the same post in High Heaven Palace. You don’t need to keep addressing me as Elder.”

“Sorry, it has become a habit…” Xu Yi said and he turned towards the Recovery Hall in the far off distance. “The Recovery Hall is already scrambling… They’re already done with twenty students… Even if the student body is huge, wouldn’t we be taking away their opportunity to compete in the other events we have planned?”

“What can we do? This whole mess started because of those two. Our months of planning for the school curriculum has basically gone down the drain. But then again, this is our first year. I guess it is a lesson learnt…” Li Wu Yi sighed once more. He wondered how many times he sighed since becoming the form teacher of those two. Even though he hardly taught them, they sure gave him tons of mess to clean up. Honestly, he wondered if he was a nanny rather than a teacher.

“You can say that again…” Suddenly, a familiar voice played out. It was melodious, causing Li Wu Yi’s heart to skip a beat.

“Jiu Feng, what brings you here?” Li Wu Yi asked while presenting a hardened face.

“What else, like you two, I need to supervise those two when they mess with my kids.” Jiu Feng said with exasperation. “Seriously, the Palace Master should not have even enrolled them. Even we teachers can’t teach them.”

Li Wu Yi could only nod to that statement. It was sadly true. Those two were too exceptional to the point they became outliers.

“Now, more than half our classes will be empty because the rest will be in a coma… I can’t even disagree because the Palace Mistress is the one with the highest authority in the Phoenix Clan…” Jiu Feng lamented. “All those talented Divine Beasts here got selected, since the Palace Mistresses have a heavy influence on that side.”

“Thankfully, that also means their parents wouldn’t cause too much of a ruckus once they find out… But, for the Human side…” Jiu Feng shook her head and patted Li Wu Yi’s and Xu Yi’s shoulders. After all, they were the ones that were going to bear the brunt of it.

“*Haaa…* Stop… don’t remind me. The other children will most likely get off light and awaken in a month or two. But, our class… *haa…*” Li Wu Yi at this point took out a jar of wine and a cup, and he started to drink.

After all, how many students had the talent to use the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time? Whose class had the most of such talents?

In other words, his class would be the one that has students in a coma for who knows how long…

At this point, no complaining would solve it. A man’s best friend was his wine.

“Ah. I feel your pain.” Jiu Feng readily took a cup out and she even passed Xu Yi a cup.

“You… so that’s why you’re here!” Li Wu Yi chided but Jiu Feng just giggled. “Oh come on, drinking alone would be boring, no? Besides, you’ve already narrowed down who you are going to take in as your Disciple with that list. Isn’t it time to celebrate?”

Li Wu Yi just rolled his eyes. He had been keeping this wine for years. Thousand Year Ice Warming Liquor, a rarity in the world that could only be bought through auction! Now, this sly woman was trying to get a taste without giving him any rewards.

“What a narrow minded man. No wonder you haven’t gotten any dates even with your position.” Jiu Feng rolled her eyes back at him.

“That’s because–” Li Wu Yi nearly said what was in his heart. However, in the end, he chose to keep it shut. After all, he already knew the answer before he said it out loud. After so many years, has anything changed between them?

“Fine, fine. How about this? I’ll do you a favour in return.”

“This…” Li Wu Yi reeled back a bit. However, that brief hesitation was enough.

Jiu Feng quickly took that jar and filled up all three cups.

“Come on! Drink up!” Jiu Feng clicked her cup with Li Wu Yi’s and Xu Yi. She smiled as she took a sip as her face glowed from the chilling sensation in her tongue and the warm sensation in her body. [Idiot.]

Meanwhile, Xu Yi could only stare at them in confusion, “Wait, don’t we still have class tomorrow?”

Silavin: Their relationship has certainly gotten closer over the years, but Li Wu Yi has just never taken that final step. This event was Jiu Feng trying to push him.

Actually, I thought about how Jiu Feng had even thought about doing this, but I don’t think I would be able to fit everything here. The release rate is only once a week, and I wish to start the next arc.

School for the Twins is a little too easy.
