Kuro Heartsfield (20)

Height: 178 cm

Baron possessing a magnificent physique, who graduated from Azalea Academy early and is currently serving his 5th year as the Territory Lord of the Shiki region.

Background & Capabilities:

The territory of Shiki is not a hereditary land passed down through generations; Rather, it is a region governed exclusively by Nobles who fulfill a highly specific set of requirements and did not originally belong to the Heartfield House. It is currently the territory of Baron Clo Heartfield.

During his time at the academy, his academic performance was thoroughly average.

In terms of raw athletic capability, his scores rank among the highest in school history. However, due to his mediocre aptitude for Magic, he was not considered by the Knight Order or other military branches as a promising candidate. That said, records obtained from Grand Commander Claire indicate that following his exceptional performance during a first-year off-campus field exercise, plans were being made to scout him into the Knight Order.

In combat, he leaves the impression of being more adept at skill, rather than being simply highly skilled in combat. In addition, he possessed superb reflexes against magical threats and has a sharp instinct for exploiting enemy openings. During a formal inquiry regarding the magical outburst accident in Shiki (cf. Reference Document A), the local populace unanimously remarked that ‘it is a miracle if the Lord ever gets hit by anything short of a wide-area Spell,’ suggesting an extraordinary aptitude for magical crisis perception.

He subsequently withdrew from Azalea Academy due to personal circumstances. Though still under investigation, there are traces suggesting that Prince Carmine, Princess Rose, and Princess Scarlet were directly involved in his early graduation.

He is beloved as the Lord, is well-regarded by his citizens, and tends to personally visit problem sites to resolve issues firsthand.

Background & Capabilities:

Her academic grades, magical skills, and physical capabilities are all the best in Azalea Academy’s history.

She is a gifted student proficient in the rare Alchemy Magic, handling not only the basic elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Light, and Dark, but also rare magic.

She has pioneered brand-new fields of study by approaching subjects with a brand new angle, and has already received numerous recruitment offers, including options for early graduation, from various research institutes and the military.

However, Mary Sue has declined all offers, stating that ‘the experiences gained at the academy are utterly irreplaceable.’

While she maintains close ties with numerous nobles, she does not appear to have a romantic relationship with any male. This suggests that rather than altruism, her true goal might be to simply form connections with them.

“Yes. She demonstrates a pattern of behavior indicating that she is operating under a separate, hidden agenda.”

Given her stable psychological state, it is highly probable that she frames her own personal philosophy as the words of a third party to deflect scrutiny. However, there is an equal possibility that she possesses precognition Clo Heartfield, constant monitoring is deemed necessary. That said, Mary Sue’s own danger-detection abilities are remarkably sharp and there is a high risk anybody who is not a high-tier magic user could be immediately found out.

Background & Capabilities:

A practitioner of Alchemy Magic, with eyes that appear almost translucent. She shares the same mentor of Alchemy Magic as the aforementioned Mary Sue.

She has many people she’s on friendly terms with, regardless of their Noble or Commoner status, though she frequently wears a smile that does not appear to be genuine.

In terms of one-on-one combat, her skills are average (except for instances when she uses bombs made with Alchemy Magic)

She possesses astonishing combat abilities when fighting monsters.

This is likely due to her inborn insensitivity to killing, lacking an aversion to blood and the mental burden of inflicting harm. Though still under investigation, there is a possibility she was involved in the disinheritance of the Nephrite family.

Regarding her actual combat skills, she appears to share the same heightened crisis-response abilities observed in Clo Heartsfield.

Unlike the previous two subjects, she displays no signs of precognition or déjà vu.
