It was not that Fang Peng did not know he could tear space, but he had still set up such a destructive trap. Likely, Fang Peng understood that he would not be able to preserve Thunder Typhoon Sect’s headquarters, so instead of allowing Yang Kai to pick through it with impunity, he had decided to take the initiative to destroy it. Additionally, perhaps Fang Peng was hoping that, by some stroke of luck, Yang Kai would not notice the Profound Explosion Crystals until it was too late.

“Senior’s praise is unwarranted!” Yang Kai snorted before walking over and stopping about five steps in front of this yellow-faced old man, “Even knowing that this kind of petty plot couldn’t kill me, Fang Peng still made the five of you stay behind just to die? He truly is ruthless!”
The yellow-faced old man simply chuckled in between gasps, “He did not ask us to stay, we asked him to let us stay. Boy, you are going to try to sow discord even in this situation?”
A slightly awkward light flashed across Yang Kai’s eyes before he chose to remain silent.
The yellow-faced old man let out a slight cough before continuing, “The five of us didn’t have long to live, so if we could bury you along with us, it would naturally be a huge gain. This was the last act we could do for our Sect before dying, so even knowing the chances were slim, we had to try.”
“The dying need not speak so much nonsense,” Yang Kai spat disinterestedly, “Tell me where Fang Peng is and I’ll leave your corpse whole!”
“Haha, seems you’re one for straight talk, Little Boy. En, if I had met you a few hundred years earlier, perhaps this old master would have wanted to become friends! Fang Peng said… he said…”

Above Thunder Typhoon Canyon, High Heaven Sect’s Starship hovered mid-air and opened its main hatch wide, allowing Ye Xi Yun and the others to rush outside and scan the area anxiously.
The explosion had subsided, but when they looked around, the originally magnificent Thunder Typhoon Sect headquarters had been reduced to rubble and a giant crater over a thousand kilometres in diameter had appeared.
Yang Kai, however, was nowhere to be seen!
Everyone felt as if their hearts were caught in their throats.
If it were not for the Starship’s protective barrier, the intense explosions just now would likely have killed all of them, let alone Yang Kai who was likely at the centre of the blast.
Everyone was worried about him, worried he had fallen here.
“Are you looking for me?” A voice suddenly came from behind, shocking everyone and causing them all to turn their heads around to discover Yang Kai standing not far away, completely unscathed.
Everyone’s expressions became extremely weird as they did not even notice when Yang Kai appeared, as if he had suddenly materialized out of thin air.
“Yang Kai, are you okay?” Qian Tong asked hurriedly.
“I’m fine, let’s go inside first,” Yang Kai stepped into the Starship, turning around once to beckon the others to follow.
A short time later, the Starship turned around and flew out of Thunder Typhoon Canyon.
Inside the Starship, Yang Kai briefly recounted the results of this trip, drawing a sigh from everyone’s lips.
“Those five should be the Grand Elders of Thunder Typhoon Sect, each of them at least one or two generations older than Old Fei and myself!” Qian Tong whispered, “Actually, all great forces have such characters, there are even a few in Shadow Moon Hall, but they normally don’t involve themselves in worldly affairs and are in seclusion all year round. Unless some major event occurs, like a threat to the Sect’s existence, they will not appear, choosing to die from old age instead!”
“En, although those five were enemies, their actions are still worthy of admiration,” Fei Zhi Tu nodded lightly to the side.
“Regardless of whether they are respectable or not, Fang Peng has now escaped to Star Emperor Mountain, which saves me from wasting time to find him,” Yang Kai snorted softly. “So that’s it!” Qian Tong and Fei Zhi Tu nodded in understanding.
“Please continue, Great Elder,” Yang Kai motioned.
“Supreme Profound Sect was the place where the Great Emperor resided on Shadowed Star, and it was also the force which was nourished by the Great Emperor. But because a terrible enemy on par with the Great Emperor appeared one day, a catastrophic battle broke out. Although the Great Emperor emerged victoriously, she then fell into a deep sleep after that great battle to heal and the region around Supreme Profound Sect became the Flowing Flame Sand Field. Sect Master should know all these things.”
“En, I’ve heard these details before,” Yang Kai gently nodded.

Nah. The guy you we’re talking about is only an origin king back when he is alive. Not an emperor figure. So the probability of him being the Starry Emperor’s foe is zero.
No one said that he was an origin king. All we know is that he was AT LEAST an origin king, because for soul cleansing divine water to form someone with at least origin king cultivation has to die there. Infact there are a few things that show that he might have been above origin king level.
First if all the soul cleansing divine water itself. According to Yang kai soul cleansing divine water is normally milky white, and if it was high quality then it would be silver in color. And yet for some reason the divine water that he found was golden in color, clearly higher in quality than the highest quality an origin king could form.
Next is the fact that tha guy even managed to possess anyone in the first place. Alot of people have been complaining that Yang Kai should realise that Lu Ye has obviously been possessed, and I used to agree with them, and I tried to think of why Yang Kai never thought of it. And I finally realised. The soul cleansing divine water is created when the SOUL of the cultivator who died FUSES with the spirit water where they died. In other words soul cleansing divine water is created from the soul of the cultivator who died there, not only that, that soul would have all of its memories and personality and everything else completely wiped out and converted into a type of energy that anyone can absorb. Which means when soul cleansing divine water forms, it is IMPOSSIBLE for the cultivator who died there to possess someone in the future, because their soul would be long gone. And yet, this guy managed to do it, he managed to preserve some core part of his soul so that one day when someone finds the soul cleansing divine water, he would be able to possess them. This shows that he was likely someone above an origin king.
And then the last thing is that weird thing Yang Kai absorbed that let his 6 colored lotus evolve into its final form. It should have taken a long, long time for it to evolve into its final form and yet just by absorbing that thing it immediately evolved, and not only that it gave Yang Kai a new soul skill, which apparently shouldn’t happen when the lotus evolves into its final form. Clearly that thing has a massive amount of energy and it is very special. In fact Lu Ye is absolutely certain that Yang Kai hasn’t absorbed it, and is instead hiding it, because according to him even Origin Kings would take years to absorbed whatever that thing was. I think that goes to show even more that he might be above origin king level.
Besides when that guy who possessed Lu Ye left the cave where the soul cleansing divine water formed, he said the name of the artifact that formed the forbidden zone, which means he somewhat knew the star emperor, I think there is a very good chance that he is the enemy of the star emperor.
This is thing about the spaceforce is ridicoulus. If i remember correctly it was introduced as force connected to the outside world. Resulting in the inability to use the voidcrack if the environment around Yang Kai was disturbed. But now it has become a real cheat making the MC basically
immortal. I mean i can understand that his understanding improved but it just makes no sense that he is able to escape an Array designed to unable movement. Which i imagine as a major disturbance to hus environment. I just don‘t understand it…
Actually the array isn’t designed to stop movement it’s just designed to trap him inside. It’s still possible to tear space. Back when be was practising space blade in the solidified space, it stopped being able to hinder him after a while. Even though we didn’t see him tear space he could probably do it back then. I can easily say that the array is nothing against solidified space.
in fact, the void can still be made, even if unstable, and it may well have opened the void passage before the explosion, not causing much damage to space.
When Yang Kai was trapped in a bewildering array back in the forbidden zone he was unable to use the void cracks to leave the bewildering array, but he was still able to enter the void. I think one possible explanation for what happened here is, he entered the void, the explosion happened and destroyed the array that was trapping him, and then he left the void. Although I do think that it’s farfetched. At the very least the explosion should have made the void far more turbulent and he should have faced some danger in there but whatever.
Thanks for the new chapter, nice to learn the past of Star Emperor Mountain, we gonna find out why she left next chapter I guess.

Teleportation always the second strongest ability in any universe, so in the future it must be a lot of restrictions to it or every second cultivator could use it or it just will be boring…
To be fair, you can probably count the people that have enough proficiency to use space force to teleport like Yang Kai on one hand. There has to be a fair bit more that can use space force, but I seriously doubt they are able to utilize it to the level of void cracks or the Space Blade.
No I think being really skilled in the dao of space like MC is and will be is still going to be very rare even in the higher worlds after this one. Because ofc there will be other star fields and shit you know
