“What now?” The woman surnamed Zhou showed an unhappy expression as she hurried over.
Nearby, a few Ice Heart Valley disciples who were talking in low voices wore confused looks on their faces. They did not understand why Su Yan had suddenly run over to them. Su Yan’s eyes lit up and she asked urgently, “When did Senior Sister meet him, is he… is he well?”

I wonder if these pseudo-antagonists like the great elder ever use their brains. Your oh so precious disciple had the biggest backlash you can have in these “Secret Arts” because she got emotions of love after seeing his picture for the first time after over 30 years. She told you she would be willing to regress to a normal mortal woman and leave before she turned old so the guy wouldn’t have to see her like that. Do you honestly believe that if you kill him (not that she would be able to but anyway) that she would be a little upset ? She either kills herself immediately in that scenario, or becomes so detached that she cultivates to a higher realm than the sect leader, razes your sect to the ground and then kills herself.
The sad thing is that in the real world, a ton of people actually believe that doing things like this will actually work. We just call them crazy or criminals lol.

Also in that crazy bitch’s mind this is an all or nothing situation. Su yan is already in love with Yang kai, so as long as he exists she will suffer, she is willing to take a risk on whether killing him will actually fix it or not. The thing is all the high level people in this sect practice the secret art which kills their emotions, so all of them are crazy, dysfunctional psychopaths, who have no idea how human beings function. I don’t understand how they think killing their emotions is a good way to cultivate, like why even cultivate or why even live at that point. Does ambition not count as an emotion? Does being an emotionless machine who can live for thousands of years without finding anything interesting really sound appealing? This sect seriously pisses me off. The ice sect in tong xuan realm also pissed me off, but at least her master in that one cared about her, in her own misguided way where she thought she knew better than Su Yan what was best for her. But here I get the feeling they just want her to break through to 2nd order origin king so they can have a powerful puppet who they can destroy the fire sect with, even if she has to suffer it doesn’t matter. That’s why that bitch is taking the gamble, because as it is right now su yan is going to regress into a mortal, or even die, and a su yan who isn’t strong is worthless in her eyes. Why Ice Sects had to always be so trash? What are in the head of this crazy women that they always think that killing the man that their disciples love will make they forget him and even latter thank her? Are they so dumb? I don’t know but my only instinct when I see an Ice Sect in cultivation novels is nothing but a simple thought: “KILL THEM ALL!!!”

Also, what ever happened to the women who men him in the Emperor garden, the one who knew he was an alchemist, and the other two who knew he has the phoenix spirit. How come they didn’t tell their elders about it for half a year since they spread the picture among them?
