If the concentration of World Spiritual Qi in Lu Ye’s current cultivation environment was set as a standard, the cultivation environment where the root was located was three times better.

It was three times the difference. Moreover, the further the root went, the bigger the difference was.

When the root could no longer extend further, it was five times the difference between the two cultivation environments.

Lu Ye had just realised that the root couldn’t extend endlessly. It seemed to have something to do with his Divine Ego’s strength. As he activated the Tree of Glyphs’ power, his root could only stretch out for about a metre.

Despite that, five times the difference was ridiculous. It meant that if Lu Ye made use of the Tree of Glyphs’ root to absorb the World Spiritual Qi on the other end of the swirl, he could cultivate his power faster than how he normally did it.

Perhaps the speed would be five times faster or even greater than that.

Under normal circumstances, he had to rely on many Spirit Gathering Funnels to cultivate his power. He couldn’t quite compare the differences between this method and the one where he made use of the Tree of Glyphs’ root to absorb the World Spiritual Qi.

Undeniably, he had accidentally discovered a new way to increase his power quickly following the Tree of Glyphs’ transformation.

He suppressed his excitement as a new doubt formed in his mind.

The Spiritual Qi Swirls came in different levels. Were the environments on the other end of the swirls different as well?

Presently, in the cultivation environment he had created by borrowing from the Heavens, the swirl was on the third level. He would spend around 10,000 Contribution points to use it for an entire day.

There were higher levels which were suitable for late-stage Real Lake Realm Masters and Divine Ocean Realm Masters. The lower levels were suitable for new Real Lake Realm Masters.

Lu Ye was an outlier, which was why he chose the third level when borrowing from the Heavens to cultivate his power.

It wasn’t hard for him to explore his options. The level of Spiritual Qi Swirl could be adjusted as he pleased. He just had to switch the level and find out what was behind the swirl.

He immediately took action by changing the Spiritual Qi Swirl’s level.

A moment later, he came to a shocking conclusion. Regardless of the Spiritual Qi Swirl’s level, the world behind it was the same.

In that case, the rumour he had heard in the past wasn’t true. It was nonsense that Spiritual Qi Swirls of different levels were connected to spiritual veins or ley lines of different Grades.

They were probably connected to a particular spiritual vein or ley line. Otherwise, it couldn’t explain where the World Spiritual Qi came from. However, the location was the same.

The cultivation environments created by borrowing from the Heavens were different simply because of different levels of Spiritual Qi Swirls.

If the inside world of Spiritual Qi Swirl was compared to a bottle and the World Spiritual Qi was compared to the water inside the bottle, the Spiritual Qi Swirl was the mouth of the bottle.

The size of the mouth would determine how fast the water would flow out of the bottle, which created different cultivation environments.

The lower the level of the Spiritual Qi Swirl was, the smaller the mouth of the bottle.

In that case, Lu Ye didn’t need a big opening. A basic one was more than enough for him to extend the Tree of Glyphs’ root into the bottle.

He could use the lowest level Spiritual Qi Swirl for cultivation. That way, he would spend far fewer Contribution points, and his cultivation efficiency wouldn’t be affected one bit.

This was no longer borrowing from the Heavens; it was stealing from the Heavens! Lu Ye felt like he was no different from a thief and wondered how the Heavens would react to that.

He waited cautiously. It wasn’t until he realised there were no anomalies that he set his mind at ease. The Heavens were omnipresent and omniscient. There was no way his brazen act of theft wasn’t detected. Since the Heavens never stopped him, it must have given him consent.

After giving it some thought, Lu Ye reckoned that regardless of whether he was stealing, the Heavens had no right to stop him since he was capable of doing that. He couldn’t be blamed just because he had the Tree of Glyphs. As the realisation dawned upon him, he no longer felt guilty.

The Tree of Glyphs’ transformation had fundamentally changed the way Lu Ye cultivated which he had been practising for years. Many ideas turned over in his mind. Suddenly, he got to his feet.

“What’s wrong?” Yi Yi was puzzled, wondering why Lu Ye suddenly rose to his feet when they were cultivating their powers.

“Wait a second!” Lu Ye said and flew out of the room through the window. Soon, he arrived at the Sanctum of Providence in the dilapidated Blue Flame Mountain Pass and connected his soul to the Divine Opportunity Column to enter the Hall of Battle Points. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to the two Flood Dragons as he headed straight to the spot where Golden Amulets were located and purchased ten of them without hesitation. Then, he left the Hall of Battle Points in a hurry and returned to his bamboo house.

When Yi Yi saw the Golden Amulets in Lu Ye’s hands, she finally realised what he had done.

Lu Ye sat down cross-legged and crushed a Golden Amulet. The powder contorted and turned into a golden swirl. Following that, pure Spiritual Qi emerged from the swirl.

Yi Yi and Amber sat properly and absorbed the Spiritual Qi, which could be turned into their heritages without any refinement. Therefore, using Amulets to cultivate was the cultivators’ favourite way of increasing their powers in Jiu Zhou.

Lu Ye wasn’t in a hurry to cultivate his power. As he looked at the golden swirl, he felt excited and nervous. If things were just like what he thought, the Tree of Glyphs’ transformation had indeed brought him immense benefits.

He took a deep breath and pressed his hand against the golden swirl. As he activated the Tree of Glyphs’ power, he could feel an invisible root extending into the swirl. The next second, he was thrilled.

The cultivation environment created by using an Amulet was the best one that cultivators in Jiu Zhou could have. However, unbeknownst to them, there was an even better cultivation environment on the other end of the swirl.

Lu Ye could feel that the root was covered in liquid. It wasn’t real liquid, though. It was the condensation of pure Spiritual Qi. It was a power anyone could absorb as he pleased.

At that moment, he felt dizzy as though he was floating on a cloud. He quickly pulled himself together and activated the Tree of Glyphs’ power so that the root could extend further.

Much to his surprise, the situation was different from when he looked into the Spiritual Qi Swirl. The further the root went into the Spiritual Qi Swirl, the better the environment. However, the inside of the swirl created from an Amulet didn’t seem different as his root extended further.

After giving it some thought, he reckoned that since the Spiritual Qi had condensed into liquid, there naturally wouldn’t be any difference. That said, the environment behind the swirl was about three times greater than the environment outside of the swirl.

Lu Ye couldn’t help but laugh as he pulled Yi Yi closer to him and landed a kiss on her cheek. “I’ve made it, Yi Yi!”

Yi Yi was dumbfounded. They were cultivating when Lu Ye did this out of nowhere, which was why she was bewildered. She had spent the past few years with Lu Ye, so they were like family members now, and he had never been overly intimate with her. The most he did was ruffle her hair and pinch her cheek. It was his first time kissing her on the cheek.

“I’ve made it, Yi Yi!” Lu Ye repeated as he excitedly grabbed Amber and kissed the tiger as well.

Amber growled in disdain and tried to struggle out of his grip.

Yi Yi quickly pulled herself together. When she saw how thrilled Lu Ye was, she asked, “What happened?”

Lu Ye didn’t mention the Tree of Glyphs as it would be hard for him to explain it. He only said, “I have a special skill to get into the swirl and make use of the environment on the inside to cultivate!”

Yi Yi was curious. “What’s the environment on the inside like?”

“It’s hard for me to describe it, but the environment on the inside is three times greater than the one outside of the swirl.”

“Three times!” Yi Yi was astounded, instantly forgetting about the fact that Lu Ye had kissed her. She soon realised the benefits Lu Ye would get from this. “In other words, you can grow your power three times faster than everyone else.”

“It’s more than that.” Lu Ye smiled. “It’s three times faster than what I could achieve in the past.”

Back then, he could already increase his power much faster than an average cultivator. This gave him an added advantage when he used an Amulet to cultivate. Naturally, it wasn’t the normal speed most cultivators could increase their powers.

“You’re incredible, Lu Ye!” Yi Yi praised him. She was genuinely happy for him.

Suddenly thinking of something, she tilted her head and said, “Lu Ye, in that case, I suggest that you use White Amulets to cultivate instead.”

    “Why?” Lu Ye asked.

“You see, a White Amulet only costs 200 battle points, whereas a Golden Amulet costs 14,580 battle points. It’s just so much more expensive. Since using a White Amulet and a Golden Amulet makes no difference, you can save a lot of battle points. In that case, you can buy whatever you want in the Hall of Battle Points.”

“Huh?” Lu Ye was startled as he listened to her. He found her sensible, but after some deliberation, he felt something was amiss.

Amber whined and closed its eyes, The tiger couldn’t believe how foolish the two of them were. Even a tiger like it knew what was wrong, but the two of them were having a serious discussion about it.

Finally, Lu Ye realised what was amiss. A laugh escaped him as he explained, “Although the cultivation environments created by using a White Amulet and a Golden Amulet make no difference, the durations aren’t the same. A White Amulet can only last 15 minutes while a Golden Amulet can last an entire day.”

He was too excited when he heard Yi Yi’s seemingly sensible words, so he didn’t think too deeply about it. Now that he had realised what was wrong, he knew Yi Yi’s idea wouldn’t work.

Yi Yi came to her senses as well. She appeared embarrassed.

Lu Ye ruffled her hair and said, “You’re the best, Yi Yi!”

In response, Yi Yi smiled sweetly.

“Let’s cultivate!” Lu Ye waved his hand. Since the Tree of Glyphs’ transformation had given him such a special cultivation method, he naturally wouldn’t waste it.

Presently, he was a First-Order Real Lake Realm Master. He was eager to find out how long it would take him to ascend to the Second-Order Real Lake Realm.
