Blood Race members were good at fighting. This spirit was ingrained in their veins as they were born with more knowledge than Humans.

Therefore, upon learning that three Paradises had joined forces to attack them, those from Thousand Streams Paradise could react swiftly.

Yu Lingfeng would send some Blood Race members to gather information about the enemies from time to time, so he would receive the latest news.

By the next morning, the allied forces from the three Paradises were only 100 kilometres away from Thousand Streams Paradise.

Yu Lingfeng was mobilising his soldiers as well. Although he wasn’t powerful, he was a good general. Following his instructions, everything was well-arranged at Thousand Streams Paradise.

Thanks to Dao Thirteen’s help, he killed some Blood Race members who disobeyed his orders several days ago. Now, he was quite authoritative in front of his subordinates.

Around two hours later, those from the three Paradises were at the gates. There was no exchange of words as they directly launched an attack against Thousand Streams Paradise.

It was only normal for Blood Race members to contend with each other, so they would just start fighting without saying anything.

The allied forces had two times more soldiers than Thousand Streams Paradise. The three Paradise Masters had arrived as well, so their soldiers were high-spirited.

They inched closer to Thousand Streams Paradise in a formation that was shaped like a crescent moon. Soon, the two parties clashed using Blood Techniques, which radiated a blood light as they crisscrossed one another. The sight was magnificent.

Blood Race members rarely used Defensive Wards because Blood Techniques could easily erode them. In a war like this, Defensive Wards were useless as they would be easily dispelled by Blood Techniques.

Their Blood Techniques didn’t only target Wards; they were also effective against Spirit Artifacts. Lu Ye had already verified that when he was in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

Therefore, Blood Race members wouldn’t use any Spirit Artifacts. The fights between Blood Race members usually involved a myriad of Blood Techniques or close-quarters combat.

Their sharp nails were like their Spirit Artifacts that had been repeatedly forged.

The larger number of people on their side allowed the allied forces to gain the upper hand quickly. Many people from Thousand Streams Paradise soon lost their lives. Many figures fell from the sky, and their vitality was dissipating rapidly.

Dao Thirteen had already joined the fight on his own. Initially, not many Blood Race members paid attention to him. Naturally, they had no regard for a Blood Slave like him. Even though Dao Thirteen was now a Real Lake Realm Master, they still wouldn’t take him seriously.

Soon, Dao Thirteen caught the attention of these Real Lake Realm Masters because the power he showcased was horrifying. Although both parties were in the Real Lake Realm, the Blood Race members would lose their lives in three breaths of time once Dao Thirteen got close to them.

In just a moment, Dao Thirteen was surrounded by more than ten Real Lake Realm Masters.

Under normal circumstances, these Real Lake Realm Masters wouldn’t be a match for Dao Thirteen even though they had joined forces. After all, he had the heritage of a Divine Ocean Realm Master.

However, their Blood Techniques were abstruse. It was a wonder what moves they had used, but a Blood River was formed in the blink of an eye. The Blood River hovered in mid-air. When Dao Thirteen fell into it, he was nowhere in sight. Even the Blood Race members who had activated the Blood Race entered it to fight Dao Thirteen.

Lu Ye looked at the sight in shock, but he didn’t go to save him. That was because he could sense that Dao Thirteen’s aura was still stable.

He initially hoped Dao Thirteen could level the playing field for both parties, but now, it seemed that he couldn’t pin his hopes on Dao Thirteen.

Without Dao Thirteen holding them back, the allied forces became even more high-spirited as more and more people from Thousand Streams Paradise lost their lives.

Lu Ye let out a sigh and fished out his Sword Gourd from the Storage Sphere before infusing his Spiritual Power into it. Soon enough, jets of Sword Qi shot out of the Sword Gourd and ended many enemies’ lives.

Some Blood Race members realised Lu Ye was powerful upon seeing that, so they went over to stop him. However, even though they managed to avoid getting killed by the Sword Qi, they still lost their lives when they approached Lu Ye as Saber Lights flickered.

The intense battle showed no signs of stopping anytime soon. Thousand Streams Paradise was on the losing side. There was a huge gap between their numbers of people. It also didn’t help that the other party had significantly more Real Lake Realm Masters. Under normal circumstances, Thousand Streams Paradise would probably be conquered.

Around two hours later, only half of the Blood Race members from Thousand Streams Paradise were left.

Lu Ye felt it was the right time, so he fished out a Control Gem from his clothes and infused his Spiritual Power into it to activate the Grand Ward he had set up.

When a buzzing sound was heard, the ward nexuses he had buried in the ground started resonating with each other. An invisible force covered the entire Thousand Streams Paradise.

In an instant, the Blood Race members from Thousand Streams Paradise who had collapsed to the ground were filled with a wonderful feeling.

Covered in the invisible force, they realised they could easily connect their auras with their nearby companions. As the connection was established, they could even make use of their companions’ power.

It was the United as One Grand Ward which Lu Ye had prepared in advance.

As of late, other than cultivating his power, he had been studying United as One and crafting ward nexuses that contained this Glyph.

The ward nexuses served as nodes as they were scattered around the Paradise, which formed the United as One Grand Ward.

He could make use of this war to find out how powerful the Ward was.

The Ward itself wasn’t lethal. It would only allow the Blood Race members within the Ward to connect their auras and borrow each other’s powers. As long as they worked well together, those from Thousand Streams Paradise could use a power that far exceeded their own.

It wouldn’t be a problem for them to fend off the alliance of three Paradises. The key was how well they could collaborate.

It was the first time those from Thousand Streams Paradise experienced such a thing, so they couldn’t work well together at first. Soon, they figured out the abstrusity of the Grand Ward, so they came together in groups. The strongest cultivator would be the leader while the others followed his orders.

Soon enough, they held their ground, but it wasn’t easy for them to gain the victory.

Moreover, Lu Ye discovered that there was a huge problem with the United as One Grand Ward; it didn’t discriminate against the other party.

The Grand Ward wasn’t a living thing, so it wouldn’t only support either side, not even when Lu Ye was in charge.

Therefore, when the enemies entered the Grand Ward’s coverage, they also realised how abstruse United as One was. They quickly told their companions to enter the Grand Ward as well.

Lu Ye furrowed his brows and looked up at the Blood River in the sky.

Dao Thirteen was trapped inside, so they had one less powerful cultivator from Thousand Streams Paradise. If they wanted to win this war, Lu Ye had to get Dao Thirteen out of there or join the battle himself.

However, he couldn’t leave the Paradise for a long time as he had to protect the women living there. Although he had set up a Defensive Ward to protect them, it would be eroded by the Blood Techniques if he wasn’t around for too long. When that happened, those women would be doomed.

Just as Lu Ye was ready to save Dao Thirteen, he detected an anomaly and turned to look in a different direction, only to see a magnificent blood light coming over at full speed.

The glow showed that the person was a Cloud River Realm Master. The blood light recklessly charged towards the chaotic battlefield and crashed into the Blood River in the sky.

Lu Ye’s expression turned awkward because he could detect a familiar aura coming from the blood light.

It reminded him of a certain someone, but he couldn’t believe it as the matter was too inconceivable.

Shrieks were suddenly heard coming from the Blood River. The voices were loud and full of fear as though they were experiencing something horrifying.

Following that, the Blood River came apart, after which Dao Thirteen furiously shot out of it.

There was also a slender figure. Her red long hair swayed with the wind. She had stretched out one hand, and her nails were several metres long. Her nails were as sharp as swords as they penetrated the chests of several Real Lake Realm Masters, making these Blood Race members hang in mid-air.

It was obvious that the auras of these Real Lake Realm Masters were weakening rapidly. Scarlet blood streamed out of their wounds but never fell to the ground. Instead, the blood was devoured by an unknown power.

The long sharp nails that penetrated their chests were as red as blood. The woman’s eyes were also as bright as ruby, but upon closer look, one would see the golden pupils in the middle of her ruby eyes.

One of the Real Lake Realm Masters appeared horrified. Although he was more powerful than the woman, he was powerless to resist. He could only plead, “Please spare my life!”

The woman ignored him. Soon enough, the Real Lake Realm Masters penetrated by the nails became withered. It was as though all their blood had been sucked out of them.

The turn of events caused both parties to stop what they were doing. They were shocked and doubtful as they looked at the woman who had appeared out of nowhere.

When they registered the golden glow in her eyes, their expressions changed drastically. They looked so anxious that it was as though they were glancing at something terrifying.

On the silent battlefield, only Dao Thirteen vented his anger by killing several Blood Race members, who didn’t even attempt to counterattack.

In mid-air, the woman swept a glance over them. When she saw Lu Ye, who was standing on the edge of the battlefield, she stared fixedly at him and put on a smile.

Lu Ye was astounded. When the woman was approaching from a distance earlier, he already found her aura familiar. It reminded him of a certain someone who was supposed to be dead. Much to his surprise, the woman was indeed the person he thought of.

Her figure had transformed drastically as she looked just like a Blood Race member. She had all the characteristics of the Blood Race, but her face didn’t change much.

The woman was none other than Lan Qiyue! Around a month ago, she went missing from the spot where the Blood Pond was located. Lu Ye dived into the pond again to look for her, but she was nowhere to be found.

She was a Human woman who was only a Spirit Creek Realm Master, so there was no way she could survive in the Blood Pond.

Therefore, Lu Ye was pretty sure Lan Qiyue was dead. During this period, he had been blaming himself for the mistake he had made.

Much to his surprise, just a month later, Lan Qiyue would return in such a way and with this appearance.
