“White Tiger, you still haven’t changed that hot temper of yours…” A sigh drifted through the void, yet in the very next moment, the fabric of space trembled.

From that trembling void, a branch, resembling a divine chain, pierced through and instantly ensnared the first streak of radiance that had shot forth.

“Master, I just missed you, that’s all…” White Tiger let out an excited laugh, but he made no attempt to resist.

No, more precisely, even if he wanted to, he couldn’t resist.

This branch had come from none other than his Master, shot out from the Nine Realms. It was like the natural law and order. It was inescapable. Let alone now, when he was only Half-Step Overlord, even if had a complete Tier-6 Overlord, defying it would still be utterly impossible.

After all, his Master was the undisputed number one under Heaven.

A silly grin spread across White Tiger’s face as he basked in smug pride.

Every time he remembered that his Master was the strongest existence in the entire cosmos, White Tiger couldn’t help but puff up with glee.

And at that moment, deep within the verdant Realm of Life, Yu Zi Yu looked at the figure that had undergone a complete transformation yet still retained a trace of familiar aura, a faint smile graced his lips.

This was White Tiger, the third-ranked among his ten Divine Beasts.

There were two huge wings of black and white stretching from his back, with runes flickering around his feathers like living flames. His eyes shimmered crimson, and in their depths loomed an unsettling, mysterious void.

This was White Tiger who had awakened his Qiongqi Bloodline, a malevolent creature of chaos, who could reverse Yin and Yang, who didn’t care to distinguish between right and wrong.

“Master… you finally saw fit to call me back…” His voice was steeped in sorrowful grievance as he threw himself toward the Divine Tree rooted in the deepest reaches of the Realm of Life, Yu Zi Yu’s True Form.

“You…” A light chuckle escaped Yu Zi Yu as he flicked a branch, tossing White Tiger directly into the deepest lake of the Realm of Life, the Lake of Life.

This lake, nurtured by the boundless vitality of the realm and infused with countless Heaven and Earth Herbs and Treasures, had long since evolved into a Tier-7 Spirit Lake. Even for a Hegemon, it held extraordinary benefits.

It was, without a doubt, one of the Demon Court’s most treasured foundations.

Yet now, such a priceless heritage was casually used as a bathhouse for White Tiger and the others.

From this alone, one could glimpse Yu Zi Yu’s deep fondness for his followers…

    And why not?

White Tiger, Bull Demon, and the rest were his most loyal battle companions. They were those who had followed him in building an Empire from blood and stone. To treat them generously was only right.

Smiling to himself, Yu Zi Yu turned to the other figures and pulled them into his Realm of Life with his branches as well.

“Bull Demon, Golden Ant, Tundra, Titan, Dark King, Redbeak, Godzilla, Undying Blood Raven, Golden Behemoth…”

One name after another rolled from his lips.

And as their names were called out, the nine figures shuddered visibly.

    “Greetings, Master…”

As one, the nine knelt in mid-air, with Bull Demon and Golden Ant at the forefront.

These were the Ten Fiends, who had shaken the entire Western Sector, the true masters of the Society of Demons and Fiends.

“En…” Yu Zi Yu gave a soft nod, offering no further words.

Some things were better said later.

For now, the most urgent matter was to have the Elf Queen escort them to the Lake of Life for purification.

Others might not notice but Yu Zi Yu could see it with terrifying clarity.

Each of them had Karmic Energy lingering around them, haunted by uncountable Remnant Souls of the foes killed by them.

The Ten Fiends were feared across the Western Sector, not for their power alone, but because they heeded no law, spared no foe, and feared no consequence.

If some small Clan messed with them, while others would fear karmic retribution, they simply laughed and slaughtered them all.

Their path… was the Dao of Slaughter.

They followed the creed of stopping slaughter with slaughter. And by slaughter did they grow strong. By slaughter, they survived.

Even the kind-hearted Bull Demon, known as the most gentle among them, had by now slaughtered countless beings.

But in truth, this bloodshed was not without meaning.

It stood as a testament to the lands they had conquered, the territories won for the Demon Court.

Every act of carnage they committed was, in some way or another, done on behalf of the Court.

Take, for instance, the Centaur Clan. When they once dared to offend the Demon Court, the first to strike was the Society of Demons and Fiends.

White Tiger had led his forces deep into their heartlands, cutting down even the chieftain of the Centaurs himself.

Be that as it may, the Karmic Energy left behind due to the killing was another matter. Too much of it would only spell trouble.” That was precisely why Yu Zi Yu had summoned them back to allow time itself to wear away the Karmic Energy lingering around them.

After a hundred years of slaughter, what they needed… was a hundred years of silence and cleansing.

Only then would there be a chance for true breakthroughs.

With that thought in mind, Yu Zi Yu gave his command, “Take Bull Demon and the others to the Lake of Life. Let them bathe.”

“Yes, Master.” With a graceful nod, the Elf Queen moved toward Bull Demon and the others.

However, right then, struck by an idea, his gaze shifted toward a figure not far off, the Mermaid Queen.

She was Yu Zi Yu’s personal attendant, a Peak Tier-5, who had remained constantly at his side. She did not excel in combat, her true strength lay in her voice, the Mermaid’s Song.

The Mermaid’s Song was, in fact, quite legendary within the Demon Court. It could soothe the Spirit… and purify the Soul. Its value was no less than that of a typical Tier-6 treasures for Soul tempering.

And so, with a soft chuckle, Yu Zi Yu issued another order, “For now, I’ll trouble you to calm their minds… and cleanse their Souls.”

“This is my duty, Master.” The Mermaid Queen smiled gently, her lips curling ever so slightly.

Yet just then, as if recalling something, she added with a hint of hesitation, “Master, should we awaken Sister Aurora? She’s… extremely gifted in the cleansing of the Soul.”

“Aurora, huh…” Yu Zi Yu murmured, a hint of nostalgia flickering across his face.

It had indeed been some time since he had last seen that mischievous girl.

But there was little he could do.

As one of the rarest Marvelous Flowers of Heaven and Earth, the Aurora was no less precious than a Divine Tree itself. Thus, her cultivation and breakthroughs came with difficulty far beyond what others could imagine.

She had fallen into deep slumber ever since Yu Zi Yu secluded himself to break through to the Seventh Order. And even now, she had yet to awaken.

But when she did… Yu Zi Yu was certain she would undergo a true metamorphosis.

With that thought, he gently waved a branch and stated, “There’s no need to awaken her for now. The longer she sleeps, the greater the benefit.”

“As you wish, Master.” With a soft reply, the Mermaid Queen flicked her tail and gracefully made her way toward the Lake of Life.
