“You drained nearly half of the Ghost Clan’s foundation to raise two Ghost Emperors?”

Yu Zi Yu’s corners of lips couldn’t help but twitch, as helplessness washed over him.

Half the foundation of an entire race could only cultivate two Tier-6 Ghost Emperors, this revelation truly came as an eye-opener, and it truly highlighted how arduous it was to nurture a Tier-6.

And it should be brought to notice that the Ghost Clan ranked quite high among the Myriad Races.

However, a hundred years ago, when Yu Zi Yu was undergoing Tribulation for advancing to the Seventh Order Physique, a Tier-6 of the Ghost Clan had joined forces with the Nether God of the Netherborns to attack him.

And because of that, the entire Ghost Clan suffered disastrous consequences.

Even today, the surviving members of the Ghost Clan held deep resentment toward that Overlord of the Ghost Clan.

As for the Demon Court, it had grown so powerful that its strength only put Ghost Clan into despair. They wouldn’t even dream of harboring hatred against it.

After all, just Nine Tails alone, leading her legion, had swept across the entire Ghost Clan.

Sensing the sheer might of the Demon Court, the Ghost Clan had voluntarily submitted, pledging loyalty to Ling Er.

Thus… a large portion of the Ghost Clan’s remaining resources fell into Ling Er’s hands.

Using this foundation, and a century’s worth of effort, Ling Er was finally able to cultivate two Tier-6 Ghost Emperors.

*Roooar… Hissssss…* Two fearsome cries rang out in succession. One from a Flood Dragon, and the other from a Serpent as they created two massive tornadoes, swirling protectively around Ling Er.

This was because these two beings with meagre intelligence sensed a terrifying aura and instinctively reacted to protect themselves.

“You two… can’t even withstand Master’s gaze…” Ling Er muttered in mild reproach, her face blushing with embarrassment.

She had just praised them before her Master, and now…

*Haha…* With a chuckle, Yu Zi Yu shook his head and withdrew his gaze.

[As expected, Soul-type creatures possess sharp senses, and immediately sense the hidden pressure in my eyes.]

    Their reaction was understandable.

Now that Yu Zi Yu’s Divine Eyes had begun to form, when he intentionally focused on someone, the sheer pressure within his gaze was not something ordinary experts could endure.

It was only because Nine Tails and Ling Er were so familiar with him that they didn’t notice the true terror he now represented.

Anyone else would have broken out in a cold sweat under his gaze.

That was the current Yu Zi Yu, a being whose combat strength alone could rival a Level-3 Hegemon.

Just then, as if recalling something, Yu Zi Yu took the initiative to ask, “How are Bull Demon, White Tiger, and the others doing?”

His curiosity about the other companions stirred.

He had limited time on his hand, so he didn’t bother to visit each and every one personally. It much easier and faster to inquire.

“Bull Demon is still in seclusion… White Tiger, that madman, is probably still cruising around Storm Valley. Little Tenth is still refining the his Infernal Lightning Dragon Bloodline. He’s now at the Late-Stage of Tier-6… As for the Red Beak Platypus… he’s been sitting silently in a Volcano for decades…”

One by one, Nine Tails gave a simple update on everyone’s situation.

To Yu Zi Yu’s surprise, out of the Ten Divine Beasts, seven had already stepped into Tier-6 and become Eternal Overlords, namely Nine Tails, Sarcosuchus, Golden Ant, Thorns, Titan, Brewmaster, and Lightning Dragon.

Only Bull Demon, White Tiger, and Tundra hadn’t stepped into Tier-6 yet.

“Old Second and Old Eighth have always been late bloomers, so it’s not surprising they haven’t broken through yet… but Old Third…” As Yu Zi Yu mulled, his gaze couldn’t help but flicker.

He found it really strange that White Tiger hadn’t broken through yet.

After all, he had the Qiongqi Bloodline and had long since become a Half-Step Overlord. By all reasoning, breaking through to Tier-6 should’ve just been a matter of time.

“Well…” Just as confusion filled Yu Zi Yu, Ling Er explained, “Master, this time you can’t blame Third Brother… Over the past century, he’s trained diligently. While he can be a bit wild, most of his time has truly been spent in deep seclusion. It’s just… he seems to have taken an unconventional path. He is walking a path uniquely his own. That’s why he hasn’t broken through yet. According to him, the time isn’t right.”

Hearing this, Yu Zi Yu froze for a moment.

“So that’s how it is…” Yu Zi Yu’s curiosity was piqued.

[Old Third…actually managed to forge a path of his own?]

It wasn’t that Yu Zi Yu looked down on White Tiger. But White Tiger had always been impatient. He was never the type to sit still. How could someone like him spend years painstakingly carving out a path unique to himself?

“Forget it, no point overthinking it. I’ll go see for myself when I get the chance…” With a light chuckle and a shake of his head, Yu Zi Yu chose not to dwell on it further.

Some things had to be seen with his own eyes to be believed.

He was genuinely curious to witness what sort of ‘unconventional path’ White Tiger had supposedly taken.

However, Yu Zi Yu currently didn’t have the time to focus on White Tiger… what mattered more to Yu Zi Yu was his own cultivation.

At that thought, his eyes grew sharp.

*Booooom…* Suddenly, a thunderous roar shook the Heavens and Earth, as a massive clock manifested behind Yu Zi Yu.

The clock was illusory and radiated an ancient aura, its surface weathered with the marks of time.

However, it still drew the attention of Nine Tails and Ling Er.

Because, at this moment, they noticed… the scenery around them was beginning to blur, as though slipping into illusion.

And more terrifyingly, even the surrounding space began to distort and shift.

“Master, what is this?” Stunned, Nine Tails asked in astonishment.

What shocked her most was the maple leaf beneath her feet, originally red like blood, began to age at a speed visible to the naked eye, until it withered and crumbled into dust.

“Time and space…” Yu Zi Yu explained in a gentle voice, “I’ve sealed off this portion of space… then layered time acceleration on top of it. That means the flow of time in this region is far faster than what you normally perceive. For now… all you need to do is cultivate here. I want to see whether under this accelerated time your cultivation will be more effective…”
