“So this is the so-called Hegemon’s Tribulation? *Hmph…* Nothing more than lightning dressed in bravado.”
With a faint chuckle, Yu Zi Yu raised his eyes, calmly watching the ever-growing vortex deep in the Void.
The swirling Chaos Sea continued to expand, growing vast and immense, gathering boundless energy with every passing second.
Unfortunately, against him, whose True Body had already achieved combat strength of a Hegemon, such a Tribulation was barely a ripple.
If he could not pass this trial, then under Heaven and Earth, no one could.
So, other than the final few bolts of the Lightning Tribulation, those rare flashes that warranted even a glance from him, Yu Zi Yu could dismiss the rest without so much as a blink.
However, at that very moment, as though sensing something from afar, his gaze suddenly sharpened.
“So… someone dares to interfere with my Tribulation?” His voice turned cold, a sneer tugging at his lips as he looked toward a distant region of the Void.
There, an Imperial Artifact had awakened, rising into the skies with a majestic might.
More startling still, Yu Zi Yu found it… familiar.
It was the Grand Thunderclap Monastery, the Buddhist Sect’s Imperial Artifact.
Ever since the war against the Connecting Heaven Divine Tree, the Buddhist Sect had vanished from the stars. Who would have thought they would return and here, of all places, in the heart of Yu Zi Yu’s Tribulation?
“Not just the Buddhist Sect… the Three-Eyes Divine Clan as well…” Yu Zi Yu murmured, piecing together the identities of those arriving.
However, what was noteworthy was that not a single powerhouse from the Western Sector had appeared.
And that, truly, was no surprise.
Since that last time, when multiple Imperial Artifacts had joined forces to besiege Yu Zi Yu, every great power of the Western Sector bore a shadow in their hearts.
Now, when someone else faced a Tribulation, they dared not even whisper near it.
As for the Heavenly Court, they were too busy barely keeping themselves afloat.
With Yu Zi Yu’s edict stirring chaos, the Demon Court had caused no small trouble for the once-mighty Heavenly Court.
Thus, they dared not even awaken an Imperial Artifact, let alone meddle in a Tribulation as dangerous as this.
Still, the absence of the Western Sector did not mean there were no other threats. Even now, Yu Zi Yu could sense at least four or five powerhouses drawing near.
Unfortunately, two of them seemed to have run into trouble along the way…
…
“Damn it… so this is the deepest part of the Void!?” With a furious roar, a Dwarf powerhouse hefted his massive iron hammer and brought it crashing down.
*Booooom…* A thunderous impact echoed across the Void, as ripple after ripple of violet energy pulsed outward in waves.
Along with it, a violet Void Creature before him shattered with the blow, smashed into pieces that splattered across the Void.
However, what happened next defied all logic.
The Void Creature seemed to be made of water. Its splattered remnants morphed into blades, which shot back at the Dwarf like a storm of arrows.
This was no ordinary creature.
This was the Fifth Emperor of the Void Space, bearer of the title Formless. A monster with no fixed shape, an existence beyond comprehension.
Its very being defied definition.
And the moment it sensed foreign auras from the Universe, it instantly attacked.
Just as the Myriad Races of the stars viewed the Void Clan as a threat, so too did the Void regard the Myriad Races as prey.
Now, prey had wandered into its hunting ground. How could it not pounce?
As for the threat of the awakening of an Imperial Artifact?
Here, in the depths of the Void, where Void Energy reigned supreme, Imperial Artifacts were but dull blades. After all, Imperial Artifacts drew strength from the vast amount of Spiritual Energy. However, Void Energy and Spiritual Energy were innately opposed. They repelled each other like fire and ice.
In such an environment, where Void Energy suffused every grain of existence…even the powerful Imperial Artifacts and cultivators from the Universe found their strength severely suppressed.
Just as Void Creatures struggled when they first entered the universe, so too did cultivators born in the Universe suffer in the Void.
The reason was very simple, the Void and Universe were two different realms with different Principles.
When a powerhouse of one side entered another side, he or she would naturally be rejected by the opposite world.
And so, even a super powerhouse as the Dwarf Warrior had now fallen under the suppression of this Fifth Void Emperor.
Behind this Emperor, one could see them: an endless army, a tide of Void beasts gathering, stretching beyond sight.
…
And it wasn’t just the Dwarf.
In another distant part of the Void, a giant of the Troll Clan had also been intercepted.
Facing the Boundless Void Army, the mighty warrior of the Troll Clan threw his head back and let out a thunderous howl that shook the heavens.
In his grasp, the spiked maul shimmered with flickering arcs of lightning.
However, in the very next instant, the weapon’s brilliance dulled.
“What!?” With a startled gasp, the Troll’s expression twisted in disbelief.
But before he could even think to react…
*Clang… clang…* The sound of myriad metal echoed through the Void.
From its deepest depths surged a torrent of weapons. Swords of obsidian sheen, flying pikes of pure shadow. There were countless instruments of war forged from the Void itself.
It was a sight both breathtaking and terrifying.
Another Void Emperor had emerged.
This one bore the title ‘Arsenal,’ as well as ‘Bearer of Arms’. A terrifying Emperor whose very essence embodied weaponry.
He could forge a thousand armaments from nothingness.
And worse, he could seal the weapons of others, rendering them useless.
He was infamous even among the denizens of the Void.
And now, sensing an intruder from the Universe had dared trespass into his dominion, he made his move.
…
Never underestimate the Void.
There was a reason the Myriad Races of the cosmos feared it so deeply.
True, the Void lacked the terrifying foundation like the Imperial Artifacts, but here, in the Void, unless an Imperial Artifact was fully awakened and capable of subduing an entire region, its power was all but neutered.
And when even the mighty Artifacts of the stars falter… how could the cultivators who wield them hope to conquer this realm?
After all, the fact was that no one knew how many monsters the boundless Void had birthed.
However, one thing was certain, as the other side of the Universe, this terrifying, alien realm had raised creatures that defy reason and logic, like the fearsome Soaring Purple Dragon…
Furthermore, the possibility of another terrifying monster could not be ruled out.
And now…
*Roooooaar…* A deep, echoing Dragon’s roar drifted from the heart of the Void.
Sensing the presence of outsiders, the one chosen by the Supreme Principle of Infinity itself, the most fearsome existence in the depths of the Void, the Soaring Purple Dragon, was finally awakening.
“Go.” Came a soft murmur. Smiling faintly, Yu Zi Yu watched as the beast roused from slumber, his voice low, almost indulgent,
“Follow your Void-born instincts. Release your greed. Unleash your hunger. Wipe them… from existence!”
