Sensing the Ghost Cultivator’s malicious intent, Dao Thirteen stood in front of Lu Ye with a grim expression, ready to strike.

The Ghost Cultivator stopped in his tracks, slightly surprised.

The Sword Cultivator named Jian Guhong opened his eyes and said, “They’re not Blood Slaves.”

“What makes you think so?” The Ghost Cultivator turned to look at him.

With a sharp gaze, Jian Guhong glanced at Dao Thirteen, who stood in front of Lu Ye. “This person is supposed to be a Dao Trooper.”

“Dao Trooper?” These people were surprised as they examined Dao Thirteen carefully.

A moment later, the Spell Cultivator dipped her head. “No wonder I feel there’s something strange about him. He’s actually a Dao Trooper. You have acute eyesight as you’re able to see through his identity at first glance.”

The Ghost Cultivator was astounded. “Why is there a Dao Trooper in Blood Refinement Boundary?” He then shifted his attention to Lu Ye. “Brat, did you make this Dao Trooper?”

It was Dao Thirteen who told Lu Ye that he was a Dao Trooper, but Lu Ye had no idea what a Dao Trooper was.

When he heard the name back then, he thought that it was a Golem, just like Yun Xuechu’s Soul Clone, Tiea.

However, Dao Thirteen wasn’t a Golem. He was a Human.

“It’s not me.” Lu Ye shook his head in response.

“Why is he following you around and so loyal to you, then?” The Ghost Cultivator apparently didn’t believe him.

Usually, a Dao Trooper would only obey his Master’s orders and be loyal to him. This matter was indeed strange, and he didn’t think a Real Lake Realm Master like Lu Ye could make a Dao Trooper like Dao Thirteen.

“Well, we’re good friends.” Naturally, Lu Ye couldn’t tell them that he had used Soul Control on Dao Thirteen.

“Nonsense!” The Ghost Cultivator was amused.

“Why is there a Dao Trooper in Blood Refinement Boundary, though?” The Spell Cultivator frowned as this was beyond her.

In Blood Refinement Boundary, Humans didn’t have a good cultivation environment. Even if they were taken on as Blood Slaves by the Blood Race, they wouldn’t become powerful. Therefore, Blood Slaves in the Divine Ocean Realm were rare.

It was inconceivable that a Dao Trooper even existed. Humans had a hard time cultivating their powers, so they were unable to make Dao Troopers.

“This is the reason I’ve brought them with me,” said Jian Guhong. “Although there are no Dao Troopers in Blood Refinement Boundary, it doesn’t mean they don’t exist somewhere else.”

All of them were flabbergasted upon hearing that.

“You mean…” The Ghost Cultivator’s pupils dilated. Lu Ye couldn’t hear their following conversation as he could only feel the activation of Divine Egos. It was apparent that these people were conversing in secret.

During the conversation, they kept sizing up Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen.

When their conversation ended a moment later, the Spell Cultivator nodded. “It’s easy to find out if they’re Blood Slaves. We’ll certainly come across some Blood Race members on our way back. We’ll just have to give it a try.”

As she spoke, she summoned a Spirit Boat. “Let’s go.”

They then jumped into the Spirit Boat. Lu Ye sent a signal to Dao Thirteen before the two of them boarded the ship as well.

The Spell Cultivator activated her power, after which the Spirit Boat turned into a ray of light and shot into the sky.

On their way back, these Divine Ocean Realm Masters were silent with heavy hearts. Lu Ye had many questions to ask, but it wasn’t the right time to do so.

They came across a group of Blood Race members who were supposedly heading to Stars and Moon Holy Land. After the Spell Cultivator gave the order, Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen left the boat and slaughtered those Blood Race members.

This was how they could prove they were not Blood Slaves.

If they were Blood Slaves, they would never dare to harm Blood Race members. In the hearts of Blood Slaves, the Blood Race members were superior beings.

The two of them were naturally not Blood Slaves as they dared to slaughter Blood Race members.

Upon confirming that the two of them were not Blood Slaves, the Ghost Cultivator became amiable and talked to Lu Ye.

He was shocked to learn that Lu Ye was heading to Crimson Blood Holy Land from the North.

One had to know that it was a long distance. Even with a Divine Ocean Realm Master like Dao Thirteen around, it wasn’t easy for them to head South.

“Brat, how did you even join the group of Blood Race members?” The Ghost Cultivator was puzzled.

Supposedly, if Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen weren’t Blood Slaves, they couldn’t possibly stay alive among the Blood Race members. The truth was that they went to Stars and Moon Holy Land along with several hundred thousand Blood Race members.

“I have a way to fool them. I made a Blood Race member think we’re his Blood Slaves.” Lu Ye didn’t tell him the entire truth.

Upon hearing that, the Ghost Cultivator glanced at Dao Thirteen. “It’s no wonder he’s so loyal to you. Have you also used the move on him?”

Dao Troopers were generally unintelligent. Since Lu Ye had a way to fool Blood Race members, he could naturally do that to a Dao Trooper as well.

    “Yes.”

The Ghost Cultivator warned him. “When you arrive at the Holy Land, you can’t use this move on anyone as you please. Otherwise, I won’t let you off if I find out about it.”

Lu Ye was elated. “Are all of you from Crimson Blood Holy Land?”

    “Of course.”

Lu Ye could finally set his mind at ease.

The Spirit Boat could fly very fast. Although Dao Thirteen was also a Divine Ocean Realm Master, his power was limited by the quality of Lu Ye’s Flight-Type Artifact. Although he could make a Spirit Boat move fast, it was slower than the one they were inside now.

In this respect, the Spirit Boat could fly much faster than when Dao Thirteen drove Lu Ye’s vessel.

The further they went, the fewer people they came across.

It wasn’t because of the environment. Since this place was near Divine Palace Sea, powerful Human cultivators from Crimson Blood Holy Land would show up from time to time. Naturally, no Blood Race members would dare to gather around here.

It could be said that no Blood Race members would dare to step into the area within a radius of 100,000 kilometres around Divine Palace Sea. Only when the Blood Race armies launched an attack against Crimson Blood Holy Land would this place be bustling with noise.

A few days later, the Blood Sea came into sight.

They had arrived at Divine Palace Sea.

The sea seemed to be made from blood, which was similar to when Lu Ye saw a Blood Pond for the first time. However, the Blood Pond before his eyes was unusually large.

The Spirit Boat directly flew over the Blood Sea and charged forward.

Around half a day later, they finally saw a group of islands. From afar, those islands looked like tiny chess pieces on the Blood Sea. When Lu Ye got near, he realised those islands weren’t small.

The islands scattered around the Blood Sea formed an oval outline. In the middle of the islands was an even larger island.

Every island in the periphery had a huge city. The walls were covered with all sorts of defensive tools. Human cultivators were seen moving around the cities.

Since the Blood Race members were about to attack the Holy Land, the Humans here were naturally busy preparing for the war. The fortifications on the islands in the periphery were the sturdiest defence line for Crimson Blood Holy Land. It was thanks to this indestructible defence line that Crimson Blood Holy Land managed to fend off the enemies over and over again.

As Lu Ye observed everything in silence, he felt things weren’t as simple as they seemed.

From what he had gathered, over a million Blood Race members were going to attack Crimson Blood Holy Land. Considering the scale of the formation and the fact that some Holy Lords and many Heavenly Lords had taken part in the war, the defence line of Crimson Blood Holy Land might not be able to drive off the enemies.

It was unless Crimson Blood Holy Land had more than enough powerful Human cultivators like Jian Guhong and his teammates.

However, were there so many powerful cultivators? Honestly, Lu Ye was shocked when he saw these four mighty cultivators at the same time. Regardless of how ample the heritage of Crimson Blood Holy Land was, there shouldn’t be a lot of cultivators as powerful as they were.

Although Lu Ye couldn’t figure it out, he had at least arrived at his destination.

It had been five months since he set off from Thousand Streams Paradise, and he finally arrived at the only Human great force in this world. He believed he could find the answer he had been looking for here.

The Spell Cultivator drove the Spirit Boat towards the largest island in the centre. That was supposed to be where the foundation of Crimson Blood Holy Land was located.

Humans were everywhere on the largest island, and most of them were cultivators. There were some commoners as well. Since they didn’t have to experience hardship like the Humans in the outside world, they were always happy and could live their lives peacefully.

Lu Ye couldn’t help but think of the Humans he had come across ever since he arrived in this world. Life had been horrible for them.

Crimson Blood Holy Land could only protect so many Humans. Apart from these people here, most Humans lived miserably in this world.

Now, there was Thousand Streams Paradise in Blood Refinement Boundary. As Lan Qiyue continued to grow her power and expand the territory, more and more Humans would be protected.

Along the way, Lu Ye had enslaved many Paradise Masters and even one Heavenly Lord. The lives of those Humans living in their territories should be better now.

Still, it couldn’t solve the root of the problem.

Crimson Blood Holy Land was a glimmer of hope. If this light of hope could shine on the entire Blood Refinement Boundary, Humans would finally get rid of hardship.

The Spirit Boat landed somewhere below a Spirit Peak in the middle of the largest island.

The Spirit Peak was only 300 metres above the ground. There were many buildings on the peak. Lu Ye speculated that this was the place where the managers of Crimson Blood Holy Land gathered.

“Stay here,” the Spell Cultivator told Lu Ye and kept the Spirit Boat before walking towards the peak with the other three people.

Since they had returned from completing a mission, they had to give a detailed account of what had happened. Although they didn’t manage to kill Xing Yue Holy Lord, they had found out how many enemies there were in the Northern frontline.

That way, those from Crimson Blood Holy Land could come up with a way to deal with it.

Before the Holy Master agreed to see Lu Ye, they couldn’t bring him with them.

Lu Ye and Dao Thirteen waited patiently in the same spot. No cultivators guarded this place, nor were there any ordinary Humans who would come near. As such, it was awkward for the two of them.

After a long time, Lu Ye felt bored. He looked around and saw a stone tablet in the distance.

He took a brief glance at it and looked away, but he soon shifted his attention back to it. Shocked and doubtful, he walked towards the stone tablet and examined it solemnly.

In the meantime, a middle-aged man stood on a hanging rock and looked at the islands with his hands behind his back while on the peak.

Jian Guhong and the others approached him from behind and cupped their fists. “Holy Master.”

The man turned around, revealing his handsome face. There was a bright smile on his face. “All of you are finally back. Thanks for your hard work.”
