Beyond the Elf Forest lay a stretch of grassland so vast it defied comprehension.

Even at Qin Yichen’s full travelling speed, after soaring through the air for more than an hour, he had yet to catch so much as a hint of its ending. It was as though the grassland itself was boundless and without edge.

Along the way, he had encountered a few powerful experts from various Races, though Qin Yichen made no particular effort to engage with any of them.

This continent was a place of great chaos. At virtually any moment, the majority of its inhabitants were eyeing one another with barely concealed greed, and incidents of killing for treasures were so commonplace they barely warranted a second glance.

In such an atmosphere, any attempt at making a friendly acquaintance was, without question, asking for misery. At one moment of carelessness, and the very person who had just been clinking cups with them and calling them ‘Brother’ would cheerfully bury a blade between their shoulder blades.

Throughout the journey, Qin Yichen had likewise crossed paths with a number of Foreign Race experts radiating formidable auras. Some travelled in pairs or groups, though the majority moved alone.

On more than one occasion, he had drawn the covetous gazes of those who fancied their chances, yet upon sizing him up and weighing the matter for a moment, they invariably refrained from acting after Qin Yichen showed a trace of his killing intent.

As for those who were too short-sighted, Qin Yichen had dealt with them swiftly, with the kind of efficiency that left very little to discuss afterwards.

After all, though his current cultivation only placed him at the Early Stage Martial Ancestor Realm, what he commanded in battle was a power approaching the Peak Stage Martial Ancestor Realm.

Even the famously formidable Chen Feng had met his end at Qin Yichen’s hands. Now, with his strength far greater than that time, even if he refrained from revealing his full power, an ordinary Late Stage Martial Ancestor would still be easily killed by him.

Throughout the journey, Mei Ler had been left thoroughly shaken by the power Qin Yichen had put on display.

This was a young man who looked like he would not harm so much as a small animal. Yet he was a lot more terrifying than those experts with genuinely fearsome reputations.

A majority of those who had picked quarrels with him were Martial Ancestors, and yet not a single one of them had managed to survive after a single exchange.

[Just what Race is he from?]

Watching Qin Yichen send a blockading expert flying with a single punch, Mei Ler’s heart gave an involuntary shudder, and she found herself unable to suppress a growing suspicion about his true identity.

The more powerful the Race, the stronger its members.

The Phoenix Race of the Nine Heavens Flaming Sea, for instance, was said to be such that even a Martial Ancestor, unleashing their full power, could rival ordinary Saint.

The power Qin Yichen had demonstrated was not terrifying to that degree, yet in Mei Ler’s estimation, he was at a minimum someone from a First Tier Race, or perhaps even one of the very strongest Races’ most outstanding talent.

Qin Yichen had no particular interest in guessing what was passing through Mei Ler’s mind.

After leaving the Elf Forest, he had not immediately crushed the Token given to him by the Old Ancestor of the Lunar Palace.

This was not because he was arrogant enough to believe he could cross the territories of countless Races and return to the Human Race territory unharmed on his own merits.

Rather, it was because Little Ling’er had remained behind in the Elf Forest, and without her, the burden on his shoulders was, in truth, a lot lighter.

Within the Human Race, there was still a poisonous traitor lurking in the shadows, watching him with great patience. Returning now would require him to tread with exceptional care, and the slightest misstep could see him walking straight into someone’s scheme.

In that case, it was better to spend some time tempering himself out here, wearing down the patience of that shadowy figure. With any luck, by the time he returned, that individual might have grown so anxious they would slip up and reveal themselves.

“Sir, where are you planning to go to?” After some time had passed, Mei Ler’s delicate brows suddenly drew together as she gazed ahead, as though something had just occurred to her, and she abruptly asked.

“What is it?” Qin Yichen glanced forward and asked, his tone mild. Though he had travelled across the continent before, he had to admit that at present, his sense of direction had become somewhat unreliable.

[Wait. He does know what lies ahead, right?] Watching the expression on Qin Yichen’s face, Mei Ler felt a sudden flicker of doubt stir within her.

“Sir, just ahead is the Myriad Beasts Domain.”

“The Myriad Beasts Domain?” Upon hearing those words, Qin Yichen’s pupils contracted slightly.

Across the continent, the countless Races jostled and clashed, and skirmishes over territory were a regular occurrence.

Yet on this continent, certain places stood as exceptions to that rule.

The Myriad Beasts Domain was one such place.

The Myriad Beasts Domain belonged to not one single Force. Regardless of one’s Race, entry and exit were freely permitted to all.

Moreover, the Myriad Beasts Domain had its own established rules. Except for certain designated areas, no violence was permitted anywhere within its bounds.

This particular regulation had, over the years, attracted no shortage of powerful figures who fancied testing its authority.

Several tens of thousands of years prior, a Saint from a First Tier Race had murdered a man for a treasured item within its borders.

By the following morning, his head was dangling from the iconic city gate of the Myriad Beasts Domain for all to see.

As it happened, that Saint had been the most brilliant young prodigy of his entire Race, and when word spread, the Race to which he belonged was, understandably, incandescent with fury.

According to the records preserved by countless Races, that First Tier Force had dispatched more than thirty Saints in retaliation, among them individuals who stood at the very Peak of the Saint realm.

And yet, in what left observers’ jaws thoroughly on the floor, those thirty-something Saints had barely stirred up the faintest ripple before their bodies appeared, in the most peculiar of fashions, upon the gates of the Myriad Beasts Domain.

The incident shook virtually every Race on the continent to its core.

Without so much as a significant commotion, thirty-something Saints had been cut down. Such methods could only belong to one standing at the very apex, a Supreme Expert!

A Supreme Expert, the kind of combat power found only within the absolute Top Races!

Even among the Human Race, there was but a single Supreme Expert, the Saints Heavenly Manor Master, and he was said to be approaching the end of his natural lifespan.

Even the Elf Race, whose reserves of strength ran extraordinarily deep, possessed only two such existences: the Pavilion King and the Elf Queen.

One could well imagine, from all of this, just how exceptionally rare a Supreme Expert truly was.

And yet the Myriad Beasts Domain held such an existence as its protector.

From that day forward, virtually no Force dared to cross the regulations of the Myriad Beasts Domain ever again.

It was perhaps also because of that incident that the Myriad Beasts Domain’s reputation spread far and wide, drawing an uncountable number of wandering cultivators to converge upon it, causing the number of powerful experts within its bounds to grow at a frankly alarming rate.

Over the course of time, the foundations accumulated by the Myriad Beasts Domain had reached a level that left all who contemplated it utterly speechless.

Fortunately, the population of the Myriad Beasts Domain was far too varied and disorganised for any coordinated ambition to take root. They had gathered together simply because the place offered a great environment, and not one of them harboured any desire to expand or conquer.

“Then let us go and take a look at the Myriad Beasts Domain.”

The corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth curved upward into a faint smile, the arc of it growing steadily more pronounced.

As one of the greatest prodigies among the Human Race’s younger generation, he was genuinely curious to lay eyes on the true outstanding heroes of the continent.

Perhaps within the Myriad Beasts Domain, he might find the kinds of opponents who could offer him a proper challenge.

[Can it be that he too is going for that matter?] Watching the expression on Qin Yichen’s face, a particular thought suddenly surfaced in Mei Ler’s mind.

In recent times, countless young and talented individuals had been converging on the Myriad Beasts Domain, all on account of one particular thing. Could it be that Qin Yichen was making his way there for the very same reason?
