“Miss Mei Ler, your decision?” In the outer reaches of the Elf Forest, Shi Weixi gazed with mockery at the graceful silhouette before him, and a somewhat impatient voice slowly rose into the air.

Before Mei Ler had appeared, he himself had spent considerable effort, barely managing to snatch the top spot at the Merchandise Fair twice, and had been on the very verge of securing the qualification, when Mei Ler had suddenly emerged to ruin everything.

From that moment onwards, Shi Weixi had harboured a deep grudge against Mei Ler. Had it not been for the fact that Mei Ler had shown enough self-awareness to stay buried within the Elf Race quietly for these past few years, he would likely have been unable to resist making a move against her long before now.

At last, an opportunity had fallen into his hands, and he naturally had no intention of letting it go so easily. Even if the Elf Race had already cut off all dealings with merchants, he was determined to thoroughly humiliate this woman who had ruined his plans.

“Shi Weixi, I appreciate the thought, but I have no desire to rely on anyone else.” Mei Ler’s voice carried a cool edge as she refused him.

“*Heh heh…* Seems like Miss Mei Ler has decided since you refuse to drink the toast, then she will face the consequence for it…” A faint smile hung on Shi Weixi’s face, and within that smile there lurked a ferocious gleam that made one’s heart quail.

Behind him, those dozen or so Sky Lion Race experts also stepped slightly forward, watching Mei Ler’s group with predatory intent.

At this moment, the face beneath Mei Ler’s veil was sheeted in frost. The eyes that had once held the quality of peach blossoms now held none of that allure. In its place was a cold, ice-like light. She stared at Shi Weixi icily and said, “Shi Weixi, do not push me too far!”

“A mere Charming Fox, and you dare to raise your voice at me. Mei Ler, it seems your ego has become far too inflated during this time.” Shi Weixi let out a cold snort, licked the corner of his lips, and raised his arm slightly, preparing to reach out and forcibly seize Mei Ler.

After all, this was still the Elf Race’s territory. Were he to make a move here and be discovered by the Elf Race, there would be no good outcome for him either.

“My, what a lively scene!” Just as Shi Weixi was about to give the signal to act, a lightly amused voice rang out from above, accompanied by the urgent rush of wind-splitting. A slender figure appeared in the air above the two parties who stood at daggers drawn.

“Who are you?” Hearing that voice, Shi Weixi’s brow furrowed. His expression darkened and he called out sharply.

“Ah, if it isn’t Miss Mei Ler. It has been quite some time. I trust you are doing well?” The newcomer was none other than Qin Yichen. He looked at Mei Ler with an expression that seemed somewhere between a smile and not a smile. Gazing at those cold and somewhat frosty beautiful eyes of hers, he found them to possess a certain flavour all their own, quite distinct from that alluring quality.

“Qin Yichen?” Hearing that somewhat familiar voice, Mei Ler’s pupils contracted slightly before she recognised who it was.

Qin Yichen was someone who had been taken away by Deacon Fiery. Could it be that even under the Elf Race’s general order, he had not been spared from being driven out?

At that moment in Mei Ler’s heart, the jealousy she had once felt was already gone. In its place was a faint sense of shared misfortune.

When he caught sight of Qin Yichen, Shi Weixi’s pupils abruptly contracted.

The young man before him, though he carried only the aura of the Early Stage Martial Ancestor, had an imposing and dignified bearing. He was clearly of noble birth. Moreover, with all his experience, he was somehow unable to determine which Race the latter belonged to!

“My friend, I am Shi Weixi of the Sky Lion Race. I ask that you kindly refrain from interfering in my affairs!” Shi Weixi deliberated briefly, then cupped his fists and spoke in a probing manner.

Though the Sky Lion Race was considered a rather formidable Race, on a continent where Myriad Races stood side by side, it could only just barely be called a Second Tier Race.

As a merchant of the Sky Lion Race, reading people and situations was still something Shi Weixi was quite capable of.

“It seems Miss Mei Ler has run into some trouble.” But Qin Yichen paid no heed to Shi Weixi’s words. Instead, he gave Mei Ler a polite nod and smiled lightly.

“Where did this brat come from, daring to spoil my fun? Are you tired of living?” Seeing himself once again disregarded, Shi Weixi’s expression darkened as well. He let out a cold snort, and there was a trace of irritation in his voice.

Had it not been for the fact that he could not determine the latter’s identity, worried he might be from some top-tier race, he would likely have made a move to teach him a lesson long ago.

“Qin Yichen, this has nothing to do with you. You had best leave first.” Mei Ler’s expression shifted slightly as she spoke to Qin Yichen.

Though she did not know which Race Qin Yichen came from, Mei Ler knew that the latter was nothing more than someone at the Early Stage Martial Ancestor. Moreover, she had never once seen any powerful guards at his side.

Early Stage Martial Ancestor, while still a respectable level, was up against four or five Martial Ancestors on the other side.

If he were dragged into this, he would likely end up as nothing but an additional corpse, serving no purpose whatsoever.

“Leave? *Hmph!* If you want to play the hero, then don’t go anywhere!”

Seeing Mei Ler’s mannerism, Shi Weixi’s heart lifted. It seemed that the young man before him was doing nothing but posturing. He let out a cold snort at once, swung his arm, and two Martial Ancestor guards swept forward, positioning themselves in front of and behind Qin Yichen, boxing him in.

Seeing this, Mei Ler’s pretty face turned cold, and a flash of guilt crossed her eyes.

“My good friend, this is still the Elf Race’s territory, no? Are you not afraid of being discovered by the Elves if you make a move here?”

Yet faced with two Martial Ancestors closing in on him, Qin Yichen’s expression did not change in the slightest. He simply looked towards Shi Weixi in the distance with an expression that seemed neither a smile nor otherwise, and asked mildly.

“The Elf Race? Ha! This is already the outer reaches of the Elf Forest. Brat, rest easy. They will deal with you very quickly, and then make you disappear from this world. No one will ever find out.” Shi Weixi let out a laugh, speaking in an arrogant and unbridled manner. The moment his words fell, his voice suddenly turned cold, and he barked out, “Finish him!”

“Brat, none of this would have happened if you’d simply kept out of it. If you must blame someone, blame only yourself!”

The Sky Lion expert standing in front of Qin Yichen let out a cold laugh, swung his arm, and lunged at Qin Yichen with a snatching grasp. The Martial Ancestor at the rear, with equally perfect coordination, took a step forward, sealing off any path of retreat Qin Yichen might have had.

When that palm was still a little over a metre from Qin Yichen, the skin along his arm suddenly split open. In the span of a single breath, it had transformed into the razor-sharp claw of a wild lion.

    *Whoosh!*

Immediately, that claw, carrying a gust of rank wind, came tearing viciously towards Qin Yichen. Under that single swipe, even the air itself seemed to be ripped apart, erupting with a piercing sonic boom.

Such a ferocious strike, even powerhouses of Races renowned for their defence would find difficult to withstand!

“Seeking death!” Watching Qin Yichen, who appeared to have been scared stiff, Shi Weixi let out a cold laugh. The corner of his mouth curved into a ferocious smile. He seemed to already see the fate of this Junior, who had dared to disregard him, being torn open from chest to belly.
