Though the Pill from moments ago had not reached the legendary level of raising the dead and restoring flesh to bare bone, it was in no way inferior to the Pills that only the oldest, most venerable figures within the Giant Spirit Race could possess.

In matters of Pills and Alchemy, the Giant Spirit Race had always lagged behind. A constant weak point in their otherwise formidable Physique.

And it was not the Giant Spirit Race alone. Even some of the freshly risen Races, owing to the shallowness of their foundations, had achieved pitifully little understanding of the Dao of Alchemy.

After all, the Dao of Alchemy was not the achievement of a single generation, nor even a few. It was the crystallised wisdom and exploration of countless generations of practitioners.

Even the Human Race would never have seen the Compound Pill come into existence in the last several thousands of years, had it not been for Qin Yichen.

On the Blood Boulder Platform, Xiong Xiong’s expression was dark as a thundercloud. He knew full well that he had been played for a fool.

And yet, even so, he could only swallow his fury. Li Shang had already descended from the Blood Boulder Platform, and even if he harboured every intention of delivering a killing blow, he would not dare openly defy the rules of Myriad Beasts City.

As for the Pill that had saved Li Shang’s life, the one who had produced it was none other than the very same mysterious figure who had beaten Li Shang to the point of grievous injury.

Xiong Xiong did not entertain even the slightest wish to provoke him. The strength that the latter had displayed was enough to crush him entirely, and then there was this extraordinary Pill, which was frankly enough to make the world sit up and stare. It was not difficult to imagine that behind him, there absolutely existed some colossal, towering Force.

“Xiong Xiong, I, Li Shang, will remember today’s matter.” Li Shang, his expression equally dark, spoke in a cold voice toward Xiong Xiong. After all, he had come very close to death at the latter’s hands.

“*Hmph!* Count yourself lucky.” Xiong Xiong replied with nothing more than a cold snort, walking off the Blood Boulder Platform with a gloomy face. As for the threat itself, he paid it no great mind.

Even without today’s affair, the two of them had been mortal enemies who would seize any opportunity to do away with the other. A threat of this kind held precisely zero meaning for him.

“Honourable friend, I wonder if it might be possible to speak in private?”

Li Shang’s gaze then shifted to Qin Yichen, and the tone of it contained not even a shred of the arrogance from before. It was replaced entirely by something that sounded remarkably like deference.

Qin Yichen nodded, letting past grievances lie, and said nothing further on the matter.

When one had strength, they naturally earnt the respect of others.

Even on the continent, that was an iron law that never changed.

“Wait a moment!” Just as Li Shang made to leave, a shout rang out suddenly from one side.

Four or five figures then came walking over from the same direction.

The moment Li Shang laid eyes on them, his brow furrowed, and his expression darkened considerably.

The figure at the head of the group was none other than Xiang Linzi of the Giant Elephant Race.

Behind him, Xiong Xiong was also present, along with three others whose aura fluctuations were closely matched, making it clear that their respective statuses and strengths were of a similar calibre.

“Xiang Linzi, what is the meaning of this? Are you looking to start a fight here?” Li Shang demanded, his tone carrying a distinct chill.

“Li Shang, do not flatter yourself. If I wanted to deal with you, would I need to do it here?” Xiang Linzi furrowed his brow and snorted coldly.

Hearing this, Li Shang’s expression shifted, though what the man had said was not untrue.

Speaking of standing, the Giant Elephant Race, while only a First Tier Race, could still comfortably press down on the Giant Spirit Race. And in terms of strength, Xiang Linzi had already reached the Late Stage Martial Ancestor Realm, which likewise gave him an edge over Li Shang.

“Fellow Brother, I am Xiang Linzi of the Giant Elephant Race,” Xiang Linzi said, striding directly to stand before Qin Yichen and cupping his fists in greeting.

“The pleasure is mine,” Qin Yichen replied, the corner of his mouth curving into a light smile, returning the gesture.

Xiang Linzi, who had originally intended to ask after Qin Yichen’s identity, read the situation at once and understood that the latter had no wish to disclose it. He refrained from pressing the matter.

Among those of Top Tier Races, pride was common. From their point of view, the fact that the latter had deigned to acknowledge them at all was already quite gracious.

“I wonder whether you might happen to have any more of those Pills from earlier?” Xiang Linzi lowered his stance by a degree or two, asking in a probing fashion.

“Naturally.” Qin Yichen let out a light laugh and, with a nod of indication toward Mei Ler at his side, made his intentions clear.

Upon seeing the signal, Mei Ler produced from her sleeve a few bottles of Pills that had been prepared in advance.

    “Oh? The Charming Fox Race?”

The moment they noticed Mei Ler, the crowd finally registered that she was, in fact, a member of the Charming Fox Race.

Xiang Linzi and the others exchanged a look of surprise, and the deference they showed toward Qin Yichen climbed by another degree.

The Charming Fox Race, in terms of combat power, was a sorry sight. They did not even qualify as a Second Tier Race.

However, because the women of the Charming Fox Race possessed a natural allure, they had drawn the devoted admiration of countless powerful figures, and so in ordinary times, there were few Races foolish enough to go out of their way to provoke them.

Among these powerful admirers, there were those driven by rather personal appetites, men who desired to bring the Charming Fox Race under their banner. But owing to the mutual restraint of the many competing factions, not one of them had been able to do it.

And there had been no small number of powerful figures who wished to take away one or two of the women from the Charming Fox Race to fill their own households. Yet aside from a very few who had truly formidable backing, few had been able to accomplish even that.

It could be said that to walk accompanied by a beauty of the Charming Fox Race in the continent was itself a symbol of exalted standing.

At the strange looks that came her way from all sides, Mei Ler’s pretty face turned a faint shade of red.

To tell the truth, she was not Qin Yichen’s woman. Apart from the brief contact they had shared outside the Elf Forest, they had not even so much as held hands.

But this was hardly the moment to explain all of that. At Qin Yichen’s hinting, she produced the Pills, distributing one each to Xiang Linzi and the others.

    “Oh? This Pill…”

Gazing at the Pill in their respective hands, Xiang Linzi and the others felt their pupils contract sharply.

Originally, their intention had been to examine whether the Pill Li Shang had taken was effective for the Giant Spirit Race.

If so, and if the Giant Spirit Race came to possess a large supply of Pills like these, the overall strength of their entire Race would rise by no small margin. That was precisely what they found so worrying.

But now, they found that from the Pill resting in their hands, radiated a feeling that was extraordinarily pleasant, as though, somehow, this Pill carried an effect that would benefit their own bodies as well.

“The Pills in your hands work across the Myriad Races.” At precisely that moment, Mei Ler’s clear, melodious voice rang out with composed ease.

    “Huh!!?”

The moment those five words, ‘works across the Myriad Races,’ reached the ears of the vast crowd pressing in on all sides of the Blood Boulder Platform, an earth-shattering roar of commotion erupted.

every Race’s Physique was different. Between one or two Races of similar constitution, there might exist certain Pills with gentle enough medicinal properties to be shared. But never in history had there been a Pill so bold as to declare itself effective for every Race.

After all, the Physiques of some Races were entirely distinct from one another, and in some cases, mutually antagonistic. How could a Pill effective for Myriad Races possibly exist?

“Works across the Myriad Races? How entertaining.”

Somewhere within the Blood Boulder Platform, a young man dressed in the attire of a nobleman appeared to have caught the commotion from this side. The corner of his mouth curved into an amused smile.
