“Even so, Brother Qin, you need not worry too much about this.”

Noticing Qin Yichen’s expression, Qing Luan simply smiled and said, “The first time I left for the continent, I cannot recall how many times I was surrounded and hunted down, escaping death by the narrowest of margins. Though such things are dangerous, for you, they may not necessarily be a bad thing. Moreover, with your current standing, ordinary people would not dare make any open moves against you.”

Qin Yichen’s eyelids twitched slightly. True, no one would dare act against him so openly, but an arrow fired from the shadows was far harder to dodge than one fired in plain sight. Those poisonous serpents lurking in the dark were, in truth, the most lethal of all.

Following the ceremony, after accepting Qin Yichen’s formal bow of acknowledgement, Mo Sheng departed from the gathering.

It was not until sunset that Qin Yichen, guided by Saint Mo Yao and Qing Luan, had made the acquaintance of most of the powerful figures who had come to attend this grand ceremony.

“Yichen, Lord Mo Sheng wishes for you to go and see him.”

As the Sun dipped towards the horizon, Mo Yao turned to remind Qin Yichen.

And so, with Qin Yichen’s departure, this ceremony quietly drew to a close.

Within a great hall inside the City Lord’s manor of Myriad Beasts City.

Mo Sheng stood with his hands clasped behind his back, gazing at the murals lining the walls of the hall, and he did not speak for a long while.

Qin Yichen stood behind this Supreme Expert, likewise gazing at those murals, upon which were depicted the ancient history of the Myriad Beasts Domain.

Carved into those murals was the growing history of a neutral territory whose fame had spread throughout the continent.

Each mural recorded a bloody battle through which the Myriad Beasts Domain had established its fearsome reputation, the kind of scenes that set one’s blood boiling and stirred the very depths of one’s Soul.

After a long while, Mo Sheng seemed at last to return from within his memories, slowly turning around.

“Master.” Facing this Supreme Expert, Qin Yichen gathered the pride in his heart and offered a small bow.

“I have roamed freely throughout my entire life, and to receive a Disciple so late in my years, I suppose this must be the workings of fate between us.” Gazing at Qin Yichen, a faint trace of pride appeared within Mo Sheng’s eyes.

Even as a Supreme Expert, to be able to take on a Disciple from a Divine Tier Race was indeed quite the fortune.

“I am most grateful that Master would think so highly of me. I am deeply thankful.” Qin Yichen offered Mo Sheng a respectful bow.

“Heh heh, Yichen, your Master does not have much time left, and I imagine you already know this.”

Mo Sheng let out a light sigh, and in that instant, that aura of his, which was like that of a God descending, vanished without a trace. He now appeared like nothing more than an ordinary old man at the twilight of his years.

Even one as powerful as a Supreme Expert could not resist the relentless washing of time.

Faced with this, Qin Yichen simply lowered his head and said nothing, not choosing to bring the matter up.

Compared to Mo Sheng, the Human Race’s Saints Heavenly Manor Master had an even shorter time remaining. That was one of the things that weighed most heavily upon Qin Yichen’s heart.

“I do not know whether I would still be able to witness your growth with my own eyes before my time runs out.” Mo Sheng let out a light sigh, his entire bearing suffused with the sorrowful air of a hero at the end of his days.

“Master’s abilities reach to the Heavens. Surely this is not a difficult matter to resolve.” Qin Yichen said sincerely.

“I fear that day may never come, ” Mo Sheng shook his head, laughing bitterly.

“Your foundation is very strong, and the Cultivation Technique you practice is likewise far from weak. In truth, there is not much I am able to pass on to you.” Mo Sheng’s gaze settled upon Qin Yichen, and within the depths of his eyes, a trace of helplessness appeared.

A Disciple from a Divine Tier Race was certainly something to be proud of. And yet, the depth of heritage possessed by a Divine Tier Race was something that even a Supreme Expert could not hope to match.

They had their own Race’s Cultivation Techniques and various methods, all of which far exceeded what any Race upon the continent could compare to.

After all, these were the descendants of those who had once ruled over the continent under the reign of the Five Emperors!

“Even so, I have developed a special Cultivation Technique of my own, which I may pass on to you.”

After a brief pause, Mo Sheng spoke again, and within his eyes, a trace of pride surfaced.

It seemed as though he had been moved by Mo Sheng’s gesture. Qin Yichen’s face flushed red, and he declared loudly, “Your Disciple will not fail Master’s expectations. In the days to come, I shall surely safeguard the peace and stability of the Myriad Beasts Domain.”

Hearing these words, a look of warmth and satisfaction appeared on Mo Sheng’s face, and he smiled. “For you to hold such intentions in your heart pleases me already. I have immersed myself in this Cultivation Technique across thousands of years, and even now, I have only managed to understand its surface. There are undoubtedly countless more profound mysteries within it still awaiting someone to discover. Sadly, I no longer have the time or energy to delve into them. In the future, it shall fall to you to carry it forward and make it known to the world.”

    Mo Sheng smiled.

“Your Disciple will not fail!” Qin Yichen seemed both astonished and overjoyed, and he spoke with great agitation.

“*Ahem, ahem.* My good Disciple, do not be too hasty. This Cultivation Technique is exceedingly dangerous. Once you have reached the Saint Realm, your Master will personally guide you through how to cultivate using it.”

Mo Sheng gave a dry cough and said.

“Master, your Disciple’s cultivation realm has advanced somewhat too quickly, and I fear my foundation may not be stable enough.” Hearing this, Qin Yichen’s eyes narrowed slightly, and within his heart, something felt faintly off.

“For an outstanding talent like you to possess this kind of mindset, it truly brings your Master the greatest comfort.” Mo Sheng let out a light sigh, and he spoke with deep feeling.

Throughout the continent, who did not exhaust every conceivable method in pursuit of greater strength? Those who could truly resist that temptation, who could calm themselves and solidify their cultivation realm, were few and far between indeed.

“Even so, my Disciple, rest assured. Your Master naturally has ways to help you break through to the Saint Realm in the shortest possible time, so that you may inherit my mantle.” Mo Sheng gave a light laugh, and his tone was filled with a lofty confidence.

That chasm of the Saint Realm, which had blocked countless geniuses, appeared impossibly difficult to others, but in his eyes, it was nothing remarkable. Provided he was willing, he could forcibly elevate a Martial Ancestor to the Saint Realm at any time he chose.

However, the side effects of that method were far too severe. There was even a possibility that the person in question would permanently stop at that realm for the rest of their days.

And Qin Yichen was his one and only Disciple. Mo Sheng would naturally not resort to such a foolish and ruinous method.

Cultivation, in the end, was best achieved through one’s own painstaking effort. That was the most genuine path.

“The Saint Realm, ” Qin Yichen’s brows arched slightly.

Since Mo Sheng had taken him as a Disciple, he would naturally not do anything to ruin his future prospects. And yet, even if he was now at the Late Stage Martial Ancestor Realm, to break through to the Saint Realm within a short span of time, how extraordinarily difficult would that be?

“Have you heard of the Myriad Beasts War Domain?”

Noticing Qin Yichen’s expression, Mo Sheng gave a light laugh and asked.

    “The Myriad Beasts War Domain?!”

Hearing those four words, Qin Yichen’s pupils abruptly contracted.

The Myriad Beasts War Domain was a peculiar and wondrous space.

It was said to have been born from the shattered remnants of space left behind by some ancient cataclysm. Within it lay a treasure trove. It was basically filled with countless ruins and remnants of the Ancient Era.

For any expert with some luck, it was entirely normal to obtain some treasures and inheritances from the Ancient Era.

Furthermore, within that place, other than the rule that the strong were supreme, no other rules existed.
