Throughout Elysia, there was not a Soul who didn’t know about Slytherin.

For he existed not in the waking world, but in the dreams of all living beings, feeding upon nightmares as sustenance.

However, even as he devoured the darkest terrors of countless lives, he also watched over the entire Elysia.

A paradox, some would call it.

However, truth is often stranger than fiction.

Decades ago, at the border of a Star System, a new force had emerged, the Zergs.

Everywhere they passed, life was reduced to ashes. Hope, drowned in a sea of chittering void.

And when the Zerg Swarm cast its gaze upon Elysia, it moved like a tide, intending to claim the world for its own.

It was then that Slytherin appeared. With power no Mortal nor monster could match, it shattered the Swarm’s advance, forced it to withdraw, and cast their ambition to dust.

And this was the Guardian God of Elysia, the most terrifying demonic creature of all — Yamata no Orochi.

And now, this slumbering Lord of Elysia had awoken.

*Hisss…* A deafening hiss shattered the silence.

The entire Elysia world trembled in its wake.

Across the sky, visible even to the naked eye, dreamlike ripples spread through the sky, before a strange world, luminous and surreal, emerged in the sky.

    And within that world…

A colossal creature, with eight heads, eight tails, and crowned with endless black storm clouds, rose from the illusion… and soared toward Elysia.

“We bid farewell to Lord Orochi…”

“We bid farewell to Lord Orochi…”

Voices rang in unison, as countless denizens of the Dreamscape gathered, their eyes following the fading shadow of Slytherin as it vanished beyond their world.

However, Slytherin paid them no mind.

For now, only one purpose stirred his heart. It was to journey to the Celestial Realm and pay homage to his Master.

At the same time, far away within the bounds of Nine Realms, Yu Zi Yu’s heart also pounded, as if he had sensed something.

“What is this ominous and dreadful aura…?” Doubt flickered through his mind as the Heavenly Eye embedded in his trunk opened, gazing far beyond the Nine Realms.

And then he saw it, in the bleak and desolate outer space, perched atop a lonely, drifting asteroid: the Stargate, slowly beginning to tremble.

    Immediately afterward…

*Boooom…* A thunderous roar shook the starry void as black clouds spilled forth from the gate, cascading through the Heavens like ink spilled on starlight.

    And with it—

*Hissss…* A fearsome hiss, seemingly piercing through the reality itself and straight into the Soul, reverberated through Heaven and Earth.

“So, it’s Slytherin…” Yu Zi Yu chuckled softly. He was also a little amazed.

He had only just thought of him, and already he had arrived.

And now, his curiosity burned anew, anticipating his growth.

He remembered the last time, during his tribulation… Slytherin could not come, because he had just stepped into Tier-6 then.

[It’s already been over six months. He has spent such a long time trying to breakthrough. Surely, he is going to bring a huge pleasant surprise with him.]

The next moment, as if hearing the silent thoughts of his Master…

*Hissss…* Another hiss reverberated across the sky.

That hiss struck the very Soul, causing even Yu Zi Yu’s eyes to narrow ever so slightly.

Terrifying, and not just any kind of terrifying.

Even Yu Zi Yu himself found himself in a daze, an inexplicable haze brushing past his consciousness.

    And then…

“Mas…ter…” A cry came from a distance, as a colossal shadow, vast enough to blot out the Sun and the Heavens, began to emerge beneath the boundless veil of black clouds.

    It was no mere beast.

It was a monster in every sense of the word.

Eight heads, eight tails, and scales black as the abyss covered its entirety. And those eight pairs of eyes, each one burning red like molten blood, radiating cruelty and rage.

It looked savage, hideous, and unspeakably dreadful.

Even Yu Zi Yu, upon laying eyes on the creature, could not help but have his heart skip a beat.

“How terrifying….” There was no scorn in Yu Zi Yu’s voice, only admiration, a genuine awe.

In the endless expanse of the starry void, power reigned supreme.

And a being as fearsome, as overwhelmingly monstrous as this, could command the respect of even the most seasoned powerhouses.

The strong did not judge by form, nor by notions of good or evil.

To them, power itself was the only measure that mattered.

Of course, it was just respect and respect only.

When it was time to fight, most of them would show no mercy.

In simplest terms, among those who stood at Yu Zi Yu’s height, or who were close to it, there existed a silent camaraderie. A mutual recognition that transcended appearances.

Whether one was a Demon steeped in slaughter or an Angel who wept for the suffering of the world, it did not matter.

    Strength spoke its own language.

And as Yu Zi Yu now gazed upon Slytherin, his heart swelled with admiration.

He was a true monstrosity of legend, not only in form, but even in aura, it was inexplicably ominous.

If ordinary Tier-4s or Tier-5s met his gaze, they would lose all their will to fight, and it was not an exaggeration.

    Such was Slytherin’s aura.

“Slytherin…” Yu Zi Yu softly called out, and with a thought, opened the portal to the Realm of Life, inviting Slytherin to come in.

“I have broken through, Master!” Slytherin’s voice trembled with glee, with excitement. Twisting his mighty frame, he slithered into the swirling emerald vortex and entered the Realm of Lift.

However, in the next instant, Slytherin froze.

His monstrous face turned rigid, almost dumbfounded.

What met his gaze was a Divine Tree rooted between Heaven and Earth, one so tall that it blanketed the entire sky.

Nine stars revolved around its trunk, and within a misty halo of white light, a single crimson eye gleamed with a hazy glow.

However, that was not what struck fear into Slytherin’s Soul.

It was the pressure. The suffocating aura that thundered into his very Soul.

That was the pressure only given off by a predator at the apex of the food chain.

And for a creature like Slytherin, one who could be called the top of the food chain, to feel like prey. It could only mean one thing.

This was no difference in cultivation.

This was a difference in the very Hierarchy of Life.

They no longer existed on the same level.

“Master… you’ve… broken through?” Still stunned, Slytherin asked in disbelief.

“En.” Yu Zi Yu nodded his affirmation, wearing a calm and gentle smile.

[This guy really shut himself away in seclusion so much so that he hadn’t even sensed my advancement into the Seventh Order. But, by the looks of it, his seclusion had borne quite a sweet fruit.]

“Intermediate-Stage of Tier-6 … and just one step away from Late-Stage, hmm…” Murmuring softly, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes gleamed with silent admiration.

This level of strength—already unmatched under the stars.

In the vast Western Sector, those who stood above Slytherin could be counted on a single hand.

No, more accurately, as far as Yu Zi Yu knew… there was no one else only him.

Even the famous Seraphim of the Angel Clan, had just stepped into Intermediate-Stage Tier-6, and the Late-Stage still lay far, far beyond his reach.
