*Crack…* With a sharp, splintering sound, the creature’s right hand curved into a claw.

Before the horrified eyes of countless members of the God Race, the monstrous being rampaging through the starry void reached out and seized a planet.

It was a celestial body ten times larger than Earth. And yet, in the palm of that towering abomination, it looked no bigger than a marble.

*Rooooaar…* A thunderous roar erupted, shaking the Heavens. The monstrosity born from the World Tree hurled the star in its grasp straight toward the Realm of Gods.

Fueled by its hatred and resentment, it wanted to destroy the Realm of Gods at all costs. Even as the starlit giant struck at its form with its colossal axe, the creature did not flinch.

It cared for nothing but destruction, for it hated the Realm of Gods, and even more so, the Gods who had enslaved it for eons.

The planet flew across the sky, slipping past the cosmic giant, and slammed into the edge of the Realm of Gods.

*Boooooom…* A blinding explosion followed, engulfing that corner of the Realm of Gods in cataclysmic flames. A wave of destruction surged outward, swallowing countless Gods.

Though the Gods were said to be immortal and indestructible, few could withstand such a cataclysmic explosion.

And worse still, the Realm of Gods was the foundation of countless Gods, the very basis of their lineage. If that heritage were destroyed, even a powerful god would likely suffer a severe loss, if not death.

Take the God of Light, for example, if his divine temple within the realm were obliterated, his future propagation of faith would be jeopardized.

Thus, as the Gods gazed upon the burning ruins, where their temples once stood, their eyes grew blood-red with fury.

    “I’ll kill you!”

    “Beast!”

    “Aaargh…”

One roar after another shook the Heavens as hundreds of Gods charged forward in rage.

    No one could blame them.

That corner of the Realm of Gods was where their temples and legacies were rooted.

With it gone, their cultivation paths were practically severed, their futures ruined.

    Even survival itself became uncertain.

How could they not go mad?

However, despite their fury, in front of the abomination they had themselves created, they were as insects before a hurricane. Powerless, delusional and doomed. They were like mantises trying to stop a storm.

*Rooooaar…* A single roar blasted forth, the soundwave alone hurling them away like leaves in a storm. And before they could rise again, a colossal fist. as vast as a planet, came crashing down from above, blotting out the light of the stars.

*Boooooom…* A resounding impact resounded through the Heavens as the starlit giant intercepted the blow, shielding the Gods with its immense body.

    The chaos raged on.

However, the Gods were, after all, a supreme force in the cosmos.

Though their losses were staggering, they quickly managed to react and even salvage the situation shortly afterward.

Now, with the continuous influx of the Divine Energy, the cosmic giant born from the Genesis Star Chart grew increasingly powerful, its brilliance burning brighter than ever.

Slowly but surely, it began to overpower the corrupted World Tree, forcing it back inch by inch.

However, the World Tree was not without cunning. In the midst of its frenzy, it perceived a truth, that the cosmic giant could not stray too far from the Realm of Gods.

*Rooooaar, rooooaar, rooooaar…* A sequence of bestial cries thundered through the void, almost like twisted laughter. The grotesque face upon its immense trunk appeared feral, mocking, and terrifying.

Then, before the eyes of every God watching, the monstrous being raised both hands, and ripped apart the very Heavens.

*Riiiiiippp…* With an ear-splitting sound, space itself split apart, and a massive rift in the void yawned wide, revealing endless darkness beyond.

“I… will… be…back…” The voice was hoarse, grating, unnatural, as though this was the first time the creature had ever spoken.

    And indeed, it was true.

Ever since it had gained self-awareness, the World Tree had never once possessed control over its own body. It had been imprisoned in endless darkness.

How could such a being possibly know how to speak?

Even now, those halting, rasped words it uttered were not born of learning, but stolen, taken from the fragmented memories of a God it had devoured moments ago.

    “Damn you…”

    “Beast! I’ll kill you!”

Curses and roars reverberated through the Realm of Gods, yet not one of the Gods dared step beyond the borders of their realm.

Not because they lacked courage, but because the creature before them was terror’s incarnate, a living calamity that had nearly annihilated the entire God Race.

Against such a being, words were their only remaining weapon.

“Heh heh…” A cold, twisted chuckle rolled through the void as the mouth etched upon the creature’s trunk split open, like a rift in the void. The sight was gruesome and spine-chilling beyond description.

Then, without another glance, the treant born from the World Tree turned away, and stepped into the rift, vanishing into the mysterious Void Space.

Although it was not highly intelligent, even so, it knew who had freed it.

It knew who had awakened it from its endless slumber: The Ancestor of Trees, an ancient, unfathomable being whose imprint lay deep within its very essence. And above all, it also received the blood essence from the Lord of the Void, which allowed it to unleash terrifying strength upon its awakening.

However, this power would not last. The might it had unleashed could not be sustained forever.

And so, it chose to leave, to return to the side of its two saviors.

*Tap…tap…* Each footfall echoed like thunder through the dimensional passage, making the entire passage tremble incessantly.

From its colossal frame surged an aura of pure, unrestrained ferocity, the Will to conquer, to crush, to destroy the entire God Race. It was the belligerent Will born in the midst of the battle against the Gods.

This battle intent was so terrible and overwhelming that even Tier-6 Overlords would hesitate to act before it.

And if one were to look closely, they would see a blazing sphere hovering in its palm. It was a burning Sun, spinning in his grasp like a toy.

This was, unmistakably, a true star.

It wielded a star as one might cradle a stone.

And this was the monstrous being that had reduced the God Race to ruin.

Now, it raised the Sun high, illuminating the path ahead. The heat of its flames was so intense that they distorted space itself, scorching everything along its way.

“Hahahaha…!” Wild laughter rang through the vast passage, resounding like thunder between worlds, as it strode onward, unyielding, toward the Void Space.

    And before long…

    *Boooooom…*

In the deepest depths of the Void, a colossal figure so vast that the entire Void seemed too small to contain it, suddenly sank down upon one knee.

“I, the World Tree… pay homage to the Lord of the Void.”

With a rare, solemn reverence, the monstrous being lowered its head.

Before it, seated within a maelstrom of void storms, was a figure.

Though that figure’s body seemed frail and minute, the World Tree could feel an unspeakable power emanating from it.

That was the Lord of the Void, the Hegemon who transcends everything, and the true master of the Boundless Blood that now flowed within its veins.
